Nashi
This Asian variety of pear (nashi is the Japanese word for pear) has crisp, juicy white flesh. The light-yellow skin has a soft, delicate texture.
Are they good for me?
Nashi pears contain vitamin C and small quantities of other vitamins and minerals.
Buying and storing
Look for round, firm nashi that feel heavy for their size and are free of any soft patches. Store in the fridge for up to one week.
Preparation
Simply rinse in cold water and enjoy, or slice as desired.
