CO’s are basically broken down into 5 tiers based on their overall power. If you want a truly balanced matchup in Advance Wars 2 against a human opponent around your own skill-level, you should always pick equally tiered CO’s.
Tier 1: Max, Olaf, Eagle, Drake, Jess, Flak, Adder
Tier 2: Andy, Hawke
Tier 3: Sami, Grit, Sonja, Sensei, Lash
Tier 4: Nell, Colin, Kanbei
Tier 5: Hachi, Sturm
Also, I didn’t mention this in the video, but it goes without saying that certain CO’s will have an edge against others. Andy for example is very strong against Olaf, Drake and Hawke as he has the ability to ignore the damage-aspect of their powers, and Drake is strong against Olaf for his ability to make it rain a lot. When a CO counters another, I’d rank them a tier higher compared to their opponent, so I would for example consider Drake tier 2 when facing Olaf.’

Dana John Gould (born August 24, 1964) is an American comedian and comedy writer born and raised in Hopedale, Massachusetts. His upbringing and his extended family lent themselves to his stand-up routine, which has been seen on HBO, Showtime, and Comedy Central, among other places.
After high school, he studied communications and theatre at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He eventually moved to San Francisco to pursue a career in comedy. It was there he, along with fellow comedian Alex Reid, founded the San Francisco Comedy Condo in 1986.
Gould wrote and performed on The Ben Stiller Show; one such sketch features Gould as Otto, Cupid's twisted brother, whose arrows convince a young man to fall madly in love with an elderly woman. Another series of sketches features a heavily disguised Gould as Wilford Brimley advertising "Grady's Oats" (a parody of Brimley's Quaker Oats advertisements). In one, he speaks of his Uncle Ray's hobby of dressing in a pink taffeta gown and filling his panties with oatmeal; in another, he brandishes a revolver through the window at children. He also appeared in an episode of MADtv as Newt Gingrich and on one episode of Seinfeld as "Fragile" Franky Mirman, Jerry's childhood friend (aka "The Summer George"). He co-created and was executive producer on the MTV series Super Adventure Team. In addition Gould's stand up material was featured in Comedy Central's animated series Shorties Watchin' Shorties.

CO’s are basically broken down into 5 tiers based on their overall power. If you want a truly balanced matchup in Advance Wars 2 against a human opponent around your own skill-level, you should always pick equally tiered CO’s.
Tier 1: Max, Olaf, Eagle, Drake, Jess, Flak, Adder
Tier 2: Andy, Hawke
Tier 3: Sami, Grit, Sonja, Sensei, Lash
Tier 4: Nell, Colin, Kanbei
Tier 5: Hachi, Sturm
Also, I didn’t mention this in the video, but it goes without saying that certain CO’s will have an edge against others. Andy for example is very strong against Olaf, Drake and Hawke as he has the ability to ignore the damage-aspect of their powers, and Drake is strong against Olaf for his ability to make it rain a lot. When a CO counters another, I’d rank them a tier higher compared to their opponent, so I would for example consider Drake tier 2 when facing Olaf.’

In this installment, we’re picking the galaxy’s greatest modes of on-world transportation, from those built for speed to those built for sarlacc sightseeing.
10. AT-TE
Meet a battle droid battalion's worst nightmare. Stomping over all opposition to open our list is the AT-TE, or all All Terrain Tactical Enforcer. A giant, walking tank, the 6-legged AT-TE has everything a clone trooper needs to clear out plenty of clankers. That’s probably why three of the Republic’s best made one their retirement home.
9. Imperial Troop Transport
It was created to spread tyranny in playrooms, and now does so on Lothal and other Empire-ruled worlds. In addition to stormtroopers and cargo, the Imperial Troop Transport moves prisoners – on display for all to see – making it a powerful tool of intimidation. While we’d never recommend backing down from Imperials, be ready for a fight.
8. Snowspeeder
Looking to find lost Rebels or take down AT-ATs on a desolate ice world? You want a snowspeeder. With a sleek wedge-shaped design, and a smaller frame that allows for quick turns and blazing speed, this Rebel craft can do it all.
7. Sandcrawler
When you’re in the droid business, you need some trunk space. And the Sandcrawler has plenty. It’s essentially a moving fortress, featuring massive treads, an imposing exterior, and the tools and room to move product quickly.
6. Republic Attack Gunship
How do you kick off the Clone Wars in style? With THIS. The Republic Attack Gunship is tailor-made for battle-droid destruction: it has laser turrets, rocket launchers, and very cool cockpit bubbles we’d LOVE to try out.
5. Landspeeder
Perfect for a desert drive or arms-deal date, the landspeeder is among the galaxy’s most popular on-world transports. Models differ in design, from the pointed nose of the V-35 to the cool half-dome windshield and turbine trio of the X-34, but all look sharp. FYI: when you’re looking for a runaway astromech, a landspeeder is the ONLY way to travel.

For Tatooine crime lords with a taste for the…finer things, a luxury sail barge is essential. The ultimate symbol of excess, the sail barge has room for hundreds of guests and space for all kinds of live entertainment. Still, no sail barge is Jedi and princess-proof.

Two high-powered engines. One open-air cockpit. All awesome. The Podracer is one of the most fun and unique vehicles of a galaxy far, far away, with unmatched velocity and a totally original look.

In the forests of Endor, on the streets of Lothal, and almost everywhere else, you’ll find the amazing speeder bike. Blindingly fast, it requires great skill to drive and maneuver, and the forked front and blaster cannons only add to its cool quotient. If that doesn’t convince you, just remember: speeder bikes are Ewok approved.

This now holds the record for the longest time spent researching and writing any single piece on TIFO by a very good margin.
It turns out there are an awful lot of Star Wars "facts" commonly repeated all over the place that aren't when you really dig deep. We also really wanted to come up with a bunch of Star Wars facts (and extra details in those facts) that even the biggest Star Wars aficionados would find interesting to read and would learn something new on a good percentage of them. Here's hoping it was all worth the effort. :-)
And yes, we are aware it's "Expanded Universe" rather than "Extended" and there are a few little name mispronunciations in this one. ;-) Unfortunately due to the extreme time this one took over the last couple weeks, and insane amount of time to record and edit up once the script was done, we didn't have time to go back and fix these as we'd normally do. Morituri te salutamus!

Because I had been through the Pentagon right after 9/11. About ten days after 9/11, I went through the Pentagon and I saw Secretary Rumsfeld and Deputy Secretary Wolfowitz. I went downstairs just to say hello to some of the people on the Joint Staff who used to work for me, and one of the generals called me in. He said, "Sir, you've got to come in and talk to me a second." I said, "Well, you're too busy." He said, "No, no." He says, "We've made the decision we're going to war with Iraq." This was on or about the 20th of September. I said, "We're going to war with Iraq? Why?" He said, "I don't know." He said, "I guess they don't know what else to do." So I said, "Well, did they find some information connecting Saddam to al-Qaeda?" He said, "No, no." He says, "There's nothing new that way. They just made the decision to go to war with Iraq." He said, "I guess it's like we don't know what to do about terrorists, but we've got a good military and we can take down governments." And he said, "I guess if the only tool you have is a hammer, every problem has to look like a nail."
So I came back to see him a few weeks later, and by that time we were bombing in Afghanistan. I said, "Are we still going to war with Iraq?" And he said, "Oh, it's worse than that." He reached over on his desk. He picked up a piece of paper. And he said, "I just got this down from upstairs" -- meaning the Secretary of Defense's office -- "today." And he said, "This is a memo that describes how we're going to take out seven countries in five years, starting with Iraq, and then Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and, finishing off, Iran." I said, "Is it classified?" He said, "Yes, sir." I said, "Well, don't show it to me." And I saw him a year or so ago, and I said, "You remember that?" He said, "Sir, I didn't show you that memo! I didn't show it to you!"

The world’s failure to prepare for natural disasters will have “inconceivably bad” consequences as climate change fuels a huge increase in catastrophic droughts and floods and the humanitarian crises that follow, the UN’s head of disaster planning has warned ... In its scathing final report, the experts also dismissed the conclusions of the official inquiry ...
