Karwar police raided a resort and arrested several men and women who were allegedly involved in prostitution racket. The cops raided Taranga resort located in Devbagh village and arrested 13 men and 6 women from Hyderabad over an alleged prostitition racket. 8 rooms were booked in the resort by the owner of Hyd-based Crystal fertilizer company. A raid was conducted by the Dy SP based on a tip-off and they found that the women were engaged in prostitution. 2 men managed to escape during the raid.

Konkan Railway: The railway line that runs along the Western Coast of India from Mangalore to Roha near Mumbai.
This 760 Kilometers long railway line was thrown open to through traffic on January 26th, 1998.
Being the arduous terrain that the Western Ghats imply, the line passes through 91 tunnels and over a thousand bridges as it snakes its way towards Mumbai.
The line has been rated for a speed of 160KMPH and has been tested at upto 179Kmph by a WDP4 locomotive.
However, due to the risky terrain, the speed of trains is currently restricted to 110Kmph with the exception being the Rajdhani Express that runs at 120Kmph. Further, in the monsoons, the speed is restricted to 75-90Kmph to prevent any mishaps.
This line is a treat to rail-enthusiasts and nature-lovers alike.
This compilation is a small attempt at showcasing the beauty of the Konkan Railway and is the first of a series of compilations that will hopefully be shot and uploaded soon. For the time being, enjoy the first part of the journey from Mangalore to Karwar.
The trains in which I traveled to get these videos were 22636 Mangalore-Madgaon Intercity and 16524 Karwar-Mangalore-Bangalore Express.

Karwar is the administrative headquarters of an eponymous taluk and of Uttara Kannada district in the Indian state of Karnataka. It was the chief town of the North Kanara district in British India.
It is a seaside town situated on the banks of the Kali river which is on the west coast of the Indian peninsula. The town lies about 15 kilometres south of the Karnataka–Goa border and 519 km north-west of Bangalore. The town gave its name to Carwar/Karwar Street in Ballard Estate, Fort, South Mumbai near Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus.
Karwar was and still is called by the nearby southern villagers as 'Kone,' meaning the corner of the landmass before the river Kali. Karwar derived its name from the nearby village of Kadwad, which was prominent during the British India. It is derived from a nearby village called Kadwad (the British, probably, had trouble pronouncing "d" and replaced it with "r"). The present Karwar town is entirely a new settlement. During the pre-Indian independence era, Karwar was historically spelt as "Carwar".

Konkan Railway: The railway line that runs along the Western Coast of India from Mangalore to Roha near Mumbai.
This 760 Kilometers long railway line was thrown open to through traffic on January 26th, 1998.
Being the arduous terrain that the Western Ghats imply, the line passes through 91 tunnels and over a thousand bridges as it snakes its way towards Mumbai.
The line has been rated for a speed of 160KMPH and has been tested at upto 179Kmph by a WDP4 locomotive.
However, due to the risky terrain, the speed of trains is currently restricted to 110Kmph with the exception being the Rajdhani Express that runs at 120Kmph. Further, in the monsoons, the speed is restricted to 75-90Kmph to prevent any mishaps.
This line is a treat to rail-enthusiasts and nature-lovers alike.
This compilation is a small attempt at showcasing the beauty of the Konkan Railway and is the first of a series of compilations that will hopefully be shot and uploaded soon. For the time being, enjoy the first part of the journey from Mangalore to Karwar.
The trains in which I traveled to get these videos were 22636 Mangalore-Madgaon Intercity and 16524 Karwar-Mangalore-Bangalore Express.
