Documentary explain who are the Coptic orthodox Christians of Egypt, their history and their beliefs.
COPTIC PEOPLE ARE SONS OF THE PHAROHS:
The Copts as the successors of the ancient Egyptians are defined as the modern sons of the Pharaohs. They played an essential role in the whole Christian world, especially during the first five centuries.
Their religious background helped them to accept Christianity with eagerness and to enjoy its depth through their ascetic life, meditation and studying of the Holy Scripture.
In this topic we wish to throw some light on the ancient Egyptian culture and how it reacted towards the new Christian faith.
1- Their religious background:
It is well known that nature and upbringing have religiously minded ancient Egyptians since the very early times. Herodotus states that "The Egyptians are religious to excess, far beyond any other race of men." Their religious curiosity was satisfied by the Christian faith that puts no limits to spiritual progress, for it raises the believers towards the bosom of the Father that they might enjoy the likeness of God, fast communion with Him and acknowledgment of the eternal divine mysteries.
2- Their high scientific background:
Modern science achieved unceasing progress, particularly in the last century. Many of the ancient Egyptians scientific work which took place thousands of years before Christ are still considered to be obscure secrets; for example the pyramids with their scientific wonder and mysteries, the art of embalming, the art of carving, colored painting on walls etc. All of these arts are still under research to the extent that some believe that the ancient Egyptians were working under the guidance of superhuman (coming from the outer space), or from other stars. Some consider that man would have conquered space much earlier if the library of Alexandria had not been burned, which led to losing scientific secrets of great importance.
In any case, the fact is that the ancient Egyptians put their scientific abilities at the disposal of the religious thinking (such as the building of the pyramids, embalming etc.). It had influenced the Copts. They looked to science not as an enemy of religion or contrary to it, but that science acts in favor of religion. Therefore, the school of Alexandria opened its doors to the scholars and philosophers, believing that science and philosophy could serve the true spiritual life.
3- Their religious dogmas:
A- Each major town in ancient Egypt used to recognize some kind of a triad. But these triads were too alien from the Christian Holy Trinity.
B- Their philosophers believed in One Supreme Being; the best example is King Ikhnaton (1383-1365 B. C.).
C- While the majority of the ancient civilizations were preoccupied with the earthly life, seeking temporary pleasures, the Egyptian mind was absorbed in the world to come, and in the resurrection. When they were converted to Christianity, they became involved in awaiting the advent of the Risen Christ, through their lengthy hymns, excessive fasting, enduring and suffering with joy. This eschatological attitude has its effect on our worship, liturgies and even in our daily life.
D- The Cross: Egyptians tended to identify the Cross with their own sign of eternal life, "the Ankh," which was held in the hands of the immortals such as gods and pharaohs. The "Ankh" sign took the shape of a cruciform with rounded tip, which was readily adopted and used by the Copts from the very early times.
E- In addition to this, the Egyptians seem to have had an idea of the unity of God, His eternity, His infinity, as well as His loving kindness.

I was reading a testimony about a Coptic Christian, who was talking about how he came to the faith, the Coptic Christian Church faith, and his story started off with him bowing down before an icon of Mary, and this icon came to life before him and a certain spirit came out of it, and said it would be his mother. One thing led to another, and he converted to the Coptic Christian faith. This particular faith originates in Egypt. I want to tell you that if you are in that religion, the Coptic Christian Church, then you are in deception, because it does not lead to heaven.
It is not the true church, the Church of Christ. It is false, as the Roman catholic church, who does the same things. These spirits of religion and what are inside those icons, and the manifest themselves to people bringing them into the deception of that religion. Apparitions of Mary, miracles of the Eucharist, and all these various manifestations in icons, are a work of the devil. They are not a work of Jesus Christ. Mary is not your mother. She doesn't hear you and she doesn't intercede for you. It is of the devil. It is not of the way of truth, not of the apostles, not of Jesus Christ. I want to tell you that being a follower of Jesus, a disciple of Jesus, is the true gospel.
Now the true gospel is not what the Coptic church tells you, the true gospel is the living relationship with Jesus Christ. Not bowing down before an icon of him. When you bow behind an icon there is a demon in that icon, so you're bowing to the devil. But when you get on your knees in prayer to Jesus Christ and pray your own prayers, not somebody else's prayer, interacting with him in your heart asking him to come into your life, he will change you and give you the Holy Spirit.
He's not in the Coptic church. They have many manifestations and spiritual things in there, however so does Islam, and can does Hinduism, and so does Buddhism. These are Demons my friends. They are not Jesus Christ, it is not his gospel. But a relationship with Jesus is totally different. It means that you continue to just live your life, but you become a new creation, and you don't go and hide out in the hills like a monk, rather you become a living witness of Jesus Christ just like Peter and Paul did, who themselves were normal men not hiding away anywhere, they continued to preach Jesus to the common people.
They continued to be common folk. The only thing that changed with them was their hearts, they were totally changed and made a new. That is what happened to me, the same thing. They met Jesus, they walked with him, and everybody who walks by faith in Jesus they will meet him in their hearts, and he will transform your heart to be a new way. I preach with confidence because Jesus is with me. His ways are with me, he set me free from sin. I used to be in sin, but now I'm free from sin, and Jesus leads me on a new way in my life. I know where I'm going. I'm not going down to icons everyday hoping they will intercede for me.
I know from first hand through the Lord that he is with me, and he forgives my sin. I don't have to worry about anything. Jesus is with me. I live by faith. Dear friends, come out of the catholic, the Coptic, and the Orthodox churches. They are not following Jesus. They are clever manipulations of Satan. They're mixing a lot of truth with a lot of lies, and these religious demons are very good at this to make you feel good, and a powerful substitute of the Holy Spirit so you will believe the deception and not be saved. There is no salvation in the Coptic church, there is only salvation in Jesus Christ. In a living relationship with Jesus Christ, as Paul and Peter had. Go read the Bible yourself. Don't go by what the church says. You have your own relationship with Jesus. You read The Bible yourself, asking Jesus to show you the truth and he will. He will open your heart to the truth and the Bible, and you'll not have to you go off the doctrines of church. Jesus bless you.

Ancient and Strong, I wish her long life
In the early years, After the birth of Christ
St. Mark came bearing, The light of the true faith
He dwelt in the land, proclaiming salvation
In the name of our Redeemer, Christ who removed our sins
. The Copts then believed, in the Lord Jesus
And Joy filled all the cities of Egypt
In a very very short time, He abolished all idols
The cross was exalted, the sign of the faith
Satan quickly rose, to war the Son of God
He stirred the rulers, emperors and armies
. He then declared war, on the sons of the faith
Deny your Christ, or be thrown in the fire
Our honored fathers, elders and youngsters
Were not moved by pain, distress nor dishonor
But said courageously, forward no turning back
We don't fear fire, Our Lord is Jesus Christ
. They were beaten and imprisoned, they lived in oppression
They were burned and killed, and tasted every pain

The Coptic Orthodox Church of Alexandria is the official name for the largest Christian church in Egypt and the Middle East. The Church belongs to the Oriental Orthodox family of churches, which has been a distinct church body since the Council of Chalcedon in AD 451, when it took a different position over Christological theology from that of the Eastern Orthodox Church. The precise differences in theology that caused the split with the Coptic Christians are still disputed, highly technical and mainly concerned with the nature of Christ. The foundational roots of the Church are based in Egypt but it has a worldwide following. According to tradition, the church was established by Saint Mark the apostle and evangelist in the middle of the 1st century (approximately AD 42). The head of the church and the See of Alexandria is the Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of All Africa on the Holy See of Saint Mark.
As of 2012, about 10% of Egyptians belong to the Coptic Orthodox Church of Alexandria.

The Copts as the successors of the ancient Egyptians are defined as the modern sons of the Pharaohs. They played an essential role in the whole Christian world, especially during the first five centuries.
Their religious background helped them to accept Christianity with eagerness and to enjoy its depth through their ascetic life, meditation and studying of the Holy Scripture.
In this topic we wish to throw some light on the ancient Egyptian culture and how it reacted towards the new Christian faith.
1- Their religious background:
It is well known that nature and upbringing have religiously minded ancient Egyptians since the very early times. Herodotus states that "The Egyptians are religious to excess, far beyond any other race of men." Their religious curiosity was satisfied by the Christian faith that puts no limits to spiritual progress, for it raises the believers towards the bosom of the Father that they might enjoy the likeness of God, fast communion with Him and acknowledgment of the eternal divine mysteries.
2- Their high scientific background:
Modern science achieved unceasing progress, particularly in the last century. Many of the ancient Egyptians scientific work which took place thousands of years before Christ are still considered to be obscure secrets; for example the pyramids with their scientific wonder and mysteries, the art of embalming, the art of carving, colored painting on walls etc. All of these arts are still under research to the extent that some believe that the ancient Egyptians were working under the guidance of superhuman (coming from the outer space), or from other stars. Some consider that man would have conquered space much earlier if the library of Alexandria had not been burned, which led to losing scientific secrets of great importance.
In any case, the fact is that the ancient Egyptians put their scientific abilities at the disposal of the religious thinking (such as the building of the pyramids, embalming etc.). It had influenced the Copts. They looked to science not as an enemy of religion or contrary to it, but that science acts in favor of religion. Therefore, the school of Alexandria opened its doors to the scholars and philosophers, believing that science and philosophy could serve the true spiritual life.
3- Their religious dogmas:
A- Each major town in ancient Egypt used to recognize some kind of a triad. But these triads were too alien from the Christian Holy Trinity.
B- Their philosophers believed in One Supreme Being; the best example is King Ikhnaton (1383-1365 B. C.).
C- While the majority of the ancient civilizations were preoccupied with the earthly life, seeking temporary pleasures, the Egyptian mind was absorbed in the world to come, and in the resurrection. When they were converted to Christianity, they became involved in awaiting the advent of the Risen Christ, through their lengthy hymns, excessive fasting, enduring and suffering with joy. This eschatological attitude has its effect on our worship, liturgies and even in our daily life.
D- The Cross: Egyptians tended to identify the Cross with their own sign of eternal life, "the Ankh," which was held in the hands of the immortals such as gods and pharaohs. The "Ankh" sign took the shape of a cruciform with rounded tip, which was readily adopted and used by the Copts from the very early times.
E- In addition to this, the Egyptians seem to have had an idea of the unity of God, His eternity, His infinity, as well as His loving kindness.

I was reading a testimony about a Coptic Christian, who was talking about how he came to the faith, the Coptic Christian Church faith, and his story started off with him bowing down before an icon of Mary, and this icon came to life before him and a certain spirit came out of it, and said it would be his mother. One thing led to another, and he converted to the Coptic Christian faith. This particular faith originates in Egypt. I want to tell you that if you are in that religion, the Coptic Christian Church, then you are in deception, because it does not lead to heaven.
It is not the true church, the Church of Christ. It is false, as the Roman catholic church, who does the same things. These spirits of religion and what are inside those icons, and the manifest themselves to people bringing them into the deception of that religion. Apparitions of Mary, miracles of the Eucharist, and all these various manifestations in icons, are a work of the devil. They are not a work of Jesus Christ. Mary is not your mother. She doesn't hear you and she doesn't intercede for you. It is of the devil. It is not of the way of truth, not of the apostles, not of Jesus Christ. I want to tell you that being a follower of Jesus, a disciple of Jesus, is the true gospel.
Now the true gospel is not what the Coptic church tells you, the true gospel is the living relationship with Jesus Christ. Not bowing down before an icon of him. When you bow behind an icon there is a demon in that icon, so you're bowing to the devil. But when you get on your knees in prayer to Jesus Christ and pray your own prayers, not somebody else's prayer, interacting with him in your heart asking him to come into your life, he will change you and give you the Holy Spirit.
He's not in the Coptic church. They have many manifestations and spiritual things in there, however so does Islam, and can does Hinduism, and so does Buddhism. These are Demons my friends. They are not Jesus Christ, it is not his gospel. But a relationship with Jesus is totally different. It means that you continue to just live your life, but you become a new creation, and you don't go and hide out in the hills like a monk, rather you become a living witness of Jesus Christ just like Peter and Paul did, who themselves were normal men not hiding away anywhere, they continued to preach Jesus to the common people.
They continued to be common folk. The only thing that changed with them was their hearts, they were totally changed and made a new. That is what happened to me, the same thing. They met Jesus, they walked with him, and everybody who walks by faith in Jesus they will meet him in their hearts, and he will transform your heart to be a new way. I preach with confidence because Jesus is with me. His ways are with me, he set me free from sin. I used to be in sin, but now I'm free from sin, and Jesus leads me on a new way in my life. I know where I'm going. I'm not going down to icons everyday hoping they will intercede for me.
I know from first hand through the Lord that he is with me, and he forgives my sin. I don't have to worry about anything. Jesus is with me. I live by faith. Dear friends, come out of the catholic, the Coptic, and the Orthodox churches. They are not following Jesus. They are clever manipulations of Satan. They're mixing a lot of truth with a lot of lies, and these religious demons are very good at this to make you feel good, and a powerful substitute of the Holy Spirit so you will believe the deception and not be saved. There is no salvation in the Coptic church, there is only salvation in Jesus Christ. In a living relationship with Jesus Christ, as Paul and Peter had. Go read the Bible yourself. Don't go by what the church says. You have your own relationship with Jesus. You read The Bible yourself, asking Jesus to show you the truth and he will. He will open your heart to the truth and the Bible, and you'll not have to you go off the doctrines of church. Jesus bless you.

One thing led to another, and he converted to the Coptic Christian faith. This particular faith originates in Egypt. I want to tell you that if you are in that religion, the Coptic Christian Church, then you are in deception, because it does not lead to heaven.
It is not the true church, the Church of Christ. It is false, as the Roman catholic church, who does the same things. These spirits of religion and what are inside those icons, and the manifest themselves to people bringing them into the deception of that religion. Apparitions of Mary, miracles of the Eucharist, and all these various manifestations in icons, are a work of the devil. They are not a work of Jesus Christ. Mary is not your mother. She doesn't hear you and she doesn't intercede for you. It is of the devil. It is not of the way of truth, not of the apostles, not of Jesus Christ. I want to tell you that being a follower of Jesus, a disciple of Jesus, is the true gospel.
Now the true gospel is not what the Coptic church tells you, the true gospel is the living relationship with Jesus Christ. Not bowing down before an icon of him. When you bow behind an icon there is a demon in that icon, so you're bowing to the devil. But when you get on your knees in prayer to Jesus Christ and pray your own prayers, not somebody else's prayer, interacting with him in your heart asking him to come into your life, he will change you and give you the Holy Spirit.
He's not in the Coptic church. They have many manifestations and spiritual things in there, however so does Islam, and can does Hinduism, and so does Buddhism. These are Demons my friends. They are not Jesus Christ, it is not his gospel. But a relationship with Jesus is totally different. It means that you continue to just live your life, but you become a new creation, and you don't go and hide out in the hills like a monk, rather you become a living witness of Jesus Christ just like Peter and Paul did, who themselves were normal men not hiding away anywhere, they continued to preach Jesus to the common people.
They continued to be common folk. The only thing that changed with them was their hearts, they were totally changed and made a new. That is what happened to me, the same thing. They met Jesus, they walked with him, and everybody who walks by faith in Jesus they will meet him in their hearts, and he will transform your heart to be a new way. I preach with confidence because Jesus is with me. His ways are with me, he set me free from sin. I used to be in sin, but now I'm free from sin, and Jesus leads me on a new way in my life. I know where I'm going. I'm not going down to icons everyday hoping they will intercede for me.
I know from first hand through the Lord that he is with me, and he forgives my sin. I don't have to worry about anything. Jesus is with me. I live by faith. Dear friends, come out of the catholic, the Coptic, and the Orthodox churches. They are not following Jesus. They are clever manipulations of Satan. They're mixing a lot of truth with a lot of lies, and these religious demons are very good at this to make you feel good, and a powerful substitute of the Holy Spirit so you will believe the deception and not be saved. There is no salvation in the Coptic church, there is only salvation in Jesus Christ. In a living relationship with Jesus Christ, as Paul and Peter had. Go read the Bible yourself. Don't go by what the church says. You have your own relationship with Jesus. You read The Bible yourself, asking Jesus to show you the truth and he will. He will open your heart to the truth and the Bible, and you'll not have to you go off the doctrines of church. Jesus bless you.

Ancient and Strong, I wish her long life
