The Force is a 1994 thriller film with Yasmine Bleeth and Jason Gedrick.

Plot

Cal Warner (Jason Gedrick) is a rookie police officer who has frightening nightmares after his friend and fellow police officer, Des Flynn (Gary Hudson), is killed under suspicious circumstances: the soul of Des enters into the body of Cal in order to seek revenge for his murder.

Cal is unaware of what is happening and seeks the help of a psychiatrist when he starts exhibiting unusual behavior. These nightmares lead Cal to uncover evidence of corruption and murder within the police department. Sarah Flynn (Kim Delaney) portrays the wife of the dead officer, Des.

The Force is a Grass Valley punk/hardcore band. Members Matt Wedgley (Viva Hate, Dirty Filthy Mugs), Hunter Burgan (AFI), Mark Roustabout (The Roustabouts), and Chad Cox were all in different punk bands before forming The Force in May 1995. Between 1996 and 1998, The Force released a 7", a 10"/CD and a split 7" as well as a number of songs on compilations. The Force split up in September, 1998. Since then, members of The Force have gone on to form or join several notable bands. On August 28–31, 2008, The Force reunited for the first time in ten years to play four shows in California. The Force also released a complete discography on 12" vinyl containing every song they ever recorded.

The Force (2009 TV series)

The Force was a series of three observational documentary programmes created for Channel 4 by Oxford Film and Television and Patrick Forbes, following the work of Hampshire Constabulary. The first episode follows a murder investigation after a burnt body is found, the second follows the work of a dedicated rape unit, while the third follows a case of arson/murder, nine months after the incident. The series, which was first run in 2009, was well received by critics, who said the documentary was more interesting than they had anticipated.

Commissioning

Oxford Film and Television was commissioned by Channel 4 to produce a three-part documentary covering policing in modern Britain. Filming for The Force, which began in 2006, was directed by Patrick Forbes, and was not finished until 2009. The programme was intended to form the climax of Channel 4's unofficial season covering social institutions in the United Kingdom, along with The Family, The Benefit Business and The Hospital. Knock Knock (song)

"Knock Knock" is a song by American recording artist Monica, taken from her fourth studio album After the Storm (2003). It was written and produced by rapper-producer Missy Elliott and commissioned following the delay and subsequent reconstruction of Monica's 2002 album, All Eyez on Me. One out of a handful of tracks which Elliott contributed, the song incorporates elements of 1970s-style soul and quiet storm, as well as hip hop, and is built around excerpts of the record "It's a Terrible Thing to Waste Your Love" as written by Lee Hatim and released by The Masqueraders in 1976. Rapper Kanye West, whose 2005 Freshmen Adjustment mixtape recording "Apologize" the track is based on, is listed as the song's co-producer.

J Records released "Knock Knock", alongside fellow Elliott production "Get It Off," as one of two singles following leading single "So Gone" during the third quarter of 2003. The song was lauded by critics, who praised its streetwise production and Monica's rap part on the track. A moderate success at the charts, it peaked at number 75 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and number 24 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. Its accompanying music video, directed by Chris Robinson, was filmed as a two-part story with "So Gone".

Knock Knock (2007 film)

Knock Knock is a horror film released in 2007. It was filmed in Monsignor Farrell High School located in Staten Island, New York. The story involves a group of teens being killed in a manner somehow associated with their parents' careers while a female detective and retired beat cop fumble around trying to catch the killer.

Reception

Knock Knock has been met with overwhelmingly negative critical and user reviews, and has a 17% "rotten" rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Jenn Eblin wrote on reviewstream.com, "If you’re thinking of a way to waste an hour and a half of your life, give the movie Knock Knock a try. This movie is a complete waste of time and I don’t know how I ever sat through the whole movie." "I can handle a movie if it has a bad plot, bad acting, bad characters, a bad ending, or even bad lighting and sets. Unfortunately I can’t handle all of those things at one time in the same movie, which is what I ended up with here."
