Krishna & Karna - Karna is the greatest Hero of Mahabharata. He was matchless warrior and a man of compassion whose magnanimity knew no bounds. Karna was the son of Lord Surya and Kunti devi. He was born before the marriage of Queen Kunti to King Pandu. so Karna was abandoned in the river Ganga. A charioteer of Duryodhan, Adhiratha and his wife Radha took care of him. He excelled in every thing. Since he was brought up by a charioteer, he was considered to be of lower caste. Krishna knows about the secret of Karna's birth and wants to bring him to the Pandava army as he doesn't want him to die along with Duryodhana. He tells Karna, the secret about his birth. He also tells that he will be greatest among the Pandavas and all other brothers will listen ti him. But Karna refuses and tells Krishna, that when the whole world humiliated him, Duryodhana rendered him all support. He does not want to desert Duryodhana and join Pandavas. Rather he would give his life for his friend Duryodhana. Krishna, the Lord himself was Drumstruck with Karna's loyalty towards his friend Duryodhana.

Karna (Sanskrit: कर्ण written Karṇa in IAST transliteration Tibetan: གསེར་ཁྲབ, Wylie: gser khrab) or Radheya is one of the central characters in the epic Mahābhārata, from ancient India. He was the King of Anga (present day Bhagalpur and Munger). Karna was one of the greatest warriors whose martial exploits are recorded in the Mahābhārata, an admiration expressed by Krishna and Bhishma within the body of this work.
Karna was the son of Surya (a solar deity) and Kunti. He was born to Kunti before her marriage with Pandu. Karna was the closest friend of Duryodhana and fought on his behalf against the Pandavas (his brothers) in the famous Kurukshetra war. Karna fought against misfortune throughout his life and kept his word under all circumstances. Many admire him for his courage and generosity. It is believed that Karna founded the city of Karnal.
Many believe that he was the greatest warrior of Mahabharata since he was only able to be defeated by Arjuna along with a combination of 3 curses, Indra's efforts and Kunti's request.

Plot: Embarrassed by the birth of a son, an unwed Kunthi (M.V. Rajamma) instructs her maid to abandon him in the river Ganga. The child is set afloat and is rescued, adopted, and named Karna (Shivaji Ganesan) by Charioteer Adhiratha and his wife, Radha. After maturing he does not want to follow in his foster father's footsteps and wants to be a warrior. Unable to secure the patronage of any Guru due to his parentage, he is assisted by Suryadev and then by Sage Parshuram, and excels in all forms of warfare especially archery. He then befriends Rajkumar Dhuryodhana (Ashokan), will participate in the humiliation of Draupadi - setting the initial grounds of the battle of Kurukshetra - where he will join Dhuryodhana to battle the Pandavas - none other than Kunthi's sons.

He was born before the marriage of Queen Kunti to King Pandu. so Karna was abandoned in the river Ganga. A charioteer of Duryodhan, Adhiratha and his wife Radha took care of him. He excelled in every thing. Since he was brought up by a charioteer, he was considered to be of lower caste. Krishna knows about the secret of Karna's birth and wants to bring him to the Pandava army as he doesn't want him to die along with Duryodhana. He tells Karna, the secret about his birth. He also tells that he will be greatest among the Pandavas and all other brothers will listen ti him. But Karna refuses and tells Krishna, that when the whole world humiliated him, Duryodhana rendered him all support. He does not want to desert Duryodhana and join Pandavas. Rather he would give his life for his friend Duryodhana. Krishna, the Lord himself was Drumstruck with Karna's loyalty towards his friend Duryodhana.
