Asam Pedas is a Malaysian fish stew where fish is cooked in tamarind (asam) fruit juice and chili paste. The cooking process involves soaking the pulp of the fruit until it is soft and then squeezing out the juice for cooking the fish. Asam paste may be substituted for convenience. Various vegetables such as brinjals (Indian eggplants), okra and tomatoes are added. Fish (such as mackerel or red snapper) or fish heads are also added to make a spicy and tart fish stew. It is important that the fish remain intact for serving so generally the fish is added last. In Bengal, India this dish is called macher tak (sour fish).

Kita masih di BALI!
Kali ini kita akan cobain makanan yang klasik dan udah tersohor banget sama pecinta kuliner di Bali. Yaitu nasi pedas bu Andika!
Disini kita harus memilih toping diatas nasi hanget yang di sediakan, dengan sistem seperti warteg.
Saya memilih lauk perkedel jagung, urap, dan juga goreng usus yang garing dan renyah.
Menurut saya makanan disini lumayan enak, dan harganya juga cukup murah, yaitu rp 17.000 untuk seluruh makanan saya.
Terutama ususnya yang garing dan gurih, cukup enak.
Bisa jadi pilihan untuk kalian yang mencari makanan halal di Bali!

We are still in Bali!!! This time around, after the pork satays, i had the chance to try this wonderful classic restaurant called "NASI PEDAS BU ANDIKA", or spicy rice in english. The food is basically rice topped with various different toppings that you choose from at the counter. I got the coconut veggies, the crispy intestine, and also the deep fried corn cake.
Overall the food was solid, not my absolute favourite, but still very good, and the price was very good as well. Especially the sambal and the intestine! This place can be a good choice when you are looking for a halal food in BALI.
MY SCORE : 7.5/10
The cost of my plate was rp 17.000 only. ($1.2)

Kali ini kita akan cobain makanan yang klasik dan udah tersohor banget sama pecinta kuliner di Bali. Yaitu nasi pedas bu Andika!
Disini kita harus memilih toping diatas nasi hanget yang di sediakan, dengan sistem seperti warteg.
Saya memilih lauk perkedel jagung, urap, dan juga goreng usus yang garing dan renyah.
Menurut saya makanan disini lumayan enak, dan harganya juga cukup murah, yaitu rp 17.000 untuk seluruh makanan saya.
Terutama ususnya yang garing dan gurih, cukup enak.
Bisa jadi pilihan untuk kalian yang mencari makanan halal di Bali!

We are still in Bali!!! This time around, after the pork satays, i had the chance to try this wonderful classic restaurant called "NASI PEDAS BU ANDIKA", or spicy rice in english. The food is basically rice topped with various different toppings that you choose from at the counter. I got the coconut veggies, the crispy intestine, and also the deep fried corn cake.
Overall the food was solid, not my absolute favourite, but still very good, and the price was very good as well. Especially the sambal and the intestine! This place can be a good choice when you are looking for a halal food in BALI.
MY SCORE : 7.5/10
