Our 8.8k Cavehill challenge is this Saturday! The weather looks to be perfect for the race so make sure you are registered. Online Entries will close at 12pm on Thursday 26 May however, you can still enter on race day – Saturday 28 May. But we advise you to register online so you save time on the race day. Key information

  • Distance 8.8k
  • Location: Over the trails of Cave Hill Country Park, taking in views of Belfast Castle, Bellevue and McArts Fort.
  • Start: Belfast Boy’s Model School, Ballysillan Road, North Belfast
  • Number collection, changing, parking and showering facilities available at Belfast Boy’s Model School. Light refreshments will be available after the run
  • This is a timed run but will be a personal challenge and participants are free to walk, jog, or run as they see fit.
  • This can be a technical course and all participants should ensure that they have adequate footwear and clothing – off road shoes are recommended. It is the responsibility of all participants to ensure they are medically fit to take part.

Prizes

Prizes for top three men and women plus 1st over 40’s and over 50’s male and female.

Entry fee

  • £10 affiliated £12 unaffiliated
  • Minimum age limit is 16 years.  Participants must be 16 or over on race day

Junior 2k race

There is also a 2k race for under-16’s, with a £3 entry fee
