CAMPARI AND PROSECCO COCKTAIL
Enjoy the next instalment of Vincenzo’s Plate with Aperitivo and check out some of Vincenzo’s recommended side dishes to enjoy along with your glass of Italy…!
INGREDIENTS:
30ml Campari
15ml Soda
30ml Italian Prosecco or Sparkling wine
Ice
An orange slice
UTENSILS:
Glass of your choice
30ml shot glass for measuring
Stirrer
METHOD:
1. Add ice to a glass of your choice.
2. Pour in 30ml of Campari and 15ml of soda
VINCENZO’S PLATE TIP: You can add up to 25ml of soda to your drink depending on how strong you would like to serve your Campari and Prosecco Cocktail.
3. Add 30ml of Italian Prosecco and use your stirrer to mix the ingredients through well.
4. Add an orange slice to the Campari and Prosecco Cocktail.
HOW TO SERVE:
Add a straw and voila…you can serve!
VINCENZO’S PLATE TIP: Best served with breadsticks, mixed nuts, and a side of my delicious Lasagna with Porcini Mushrooms and Panzanella Salad.

The Negroni, a classic cocktail utilizing campari. Camillo Negroni (1868-1934) was a Florentine Count who had spent time as a cowboy in the old West and a gambler in New York. When he returned to Florence, in the 1910s, he had the bartender at the Bar Casoni mix these up for him.

The International - by Kevin Brauch, featuring Campari 'Aperitivo'
1 part (oz.) Campari
1 part (oz.) premium Vodka (for our purposes, Wyborowa)
2/3 part (oz.) Port wine
1/2 part (oz.) Chambord (substitute Creme de cassis)
2 dashes orange bitters
Combine ingredients over ice and stir
Strain into chilled cocktail glass (thinking coupe)
Can also be strained into small Collins style glass over crushed ice
Garnish with orange zest.
I believe the cocktail is extremely delicious - front nose and first taste. Delivery is all Campari - it's opened up due to the ice and lengthening. With the inclusion of vodka it's quite aromatic.... the end is beautiful - still maintaining the Campari notes and herbaciousness while the inclusion of 'international' players of Port and French Chambord bring ripe, juicy fruit notes that encourage finishing what is in your glass.
The orange bitters were originally grapefruit, but replaced for more
classic orange bitters because orange is a very strong 'wingman'
historically for Campari.
I'm quite happy how this worked out. Quite proud of the latest, newest KB creation.

Campari is an alcoholic apéritif (20.5%, 21%, 25% or 28% ABV, depending on the country in which it is sold) obtained from the infusion of herbs and fruit (including chinotto and cascarilla) in alcohol and water. It is a bitters characterized by its dark red color.
Campari is often used in cocktails and is commonly served with soda water, wine, or citrus juice. It is produced by the Campari Group, a multi-national company based in Italy.
The history of Campari began in 1860 with its invention by Gaspare Campari in Novara, Italy. It was originally coloured with carmine dye, derived from crushed cochineal insects, which gave the drink its distinctive red colour.
In 1904, Campari's first production plant was opened in Sesto San Giovanni, near Milan, Italy. The company required bars that bought Campari to display the Campari Bitters sign. Under the direction of Davide Campari, Gaspare's son, the company began to export the beverage, first to Nice in the heart of the French Riviera, then overseas. The Campari brand is now distributed in over 190 countries.

The International - by Kevin Brauch, featuring Campari 'Aperitivo' 1 part (oz.) Campari 1 part (oz.) premium Vodka (for our purposes, Wyborowa) 2/3 part (oz.) Port wine 1/2 part (oz.) Chambord (substitute Creme de cassis) 2 dashes orange bitters Combine ingredients over ice and stir Strain into chilled cocktail glass (thinking coupe) Can also be strained into small Collins style glass over crushed ice Garnish with orange zest. CAMPARI AND PROSECCO COCKTAIL
Enjoy the next instalment of Vincenzo’s Plate with Aperitivo and check out some of Vincenzo’s recommended side dishes to enjoy along with your glass of Italy…!
INGREDIENTS:
30ml Campari
15ml Soda
30ml Italian Prosecco or Sparkling wine
Ice
An orange slice
UTENSILS:
Glass of your choice
30ml shot glass for measuring
Stirrer
METHOD:
1. Add ice to a glass of your choice.
2. Pour in 30ml of Campari and 15ml of soda
VINCENZO’S PLATE TIP: You can add up to 25ml of soda to your drink depending on how strong you would like to serve your Campari and Prosecco Cocktail.
3. Add 30ml of Italian Prosecco and use your stirrer to mix the ingredients through well.
4. Add an orange slice to the Campari and Prosecco Cocktail.
HOW TO SERVE:
Add a straw and voila…you can serve!
VINCENZO’S PLATE TIP: Best served with breadsticks, mixed nuts, and a side of my delicious Lasagna with Porcini Mushrooms and Panzanella Salad.

I believe the cocktail is extremely delicious - front nose and first taste. Delivery is all Campari - it's opened up due to the ice and lengthening. With the inclusion of vodka it's quite aromatic.... the end is beautiful - still maintaining the Campari notes and herbaciousness while the inclusion of 'international' players of Port and French Chambord bring ripe, juicy fruit notes that encourage finishing what is in your glass.
The orange bitters were originally grapefruit, but replaced for more
classic orange bitters because orange is a very strong 'wingman'
historically for Campari.

The International - by Kevin Brauch, featuring Campari 'Aperitivo'
1 part (oz.) Campari
1 part (oz.) premium Vodka (for our purposes, Wyborowa)
2/3 part (oz.) Port wine
1/2 part (oz.) Chambord (substitute Creme de cassis)
2 dashes orange bitters
Combine ingredients over ice and stir
Strain into chilled cocktail glass (thinking coupe)
Can also be strained into small Collins style glass over crushed ice
Garnish with orange zest.
I believe the cocktail is extremely delicious - front nose and first taste. Delivery is all Campari - it's opened up due to the ice and lengthening. With the inclusion of vodka it's quite aromatic.... the end is beautiful - still maintaining the Campari notes and herbaciousness while the inclusion of 'international' players of Port and French Chambord bring ripe, juicy fruit notes that encourage finishing what is in your glass.
The orange bitters were originally grapefruit, but replaced for more
classic orange bitters because orange is a very strong 'wingman'
historically for Campari.
