The Psychedelic Experience: A Manual Based on The Tibetan Book of the Dead is an instruction manual intended for use during sessions involving psychedelic drugs. Started as early as 1962 in Zihuatanejo, the book was finally published in August 1964. This version of Tibetan Book of the Dead was authored by Timothy Leary, Ralph Metzner and Richard Alpert, all of whom took part in experiments investigating the therapeutic and religious possibilities of drugs such as mescaline, psilocybin and LSD. The book is dedicated to Aldous Huxley and includes a short introductory citation from Huxley's book The Doors of Perception. Part of this text was used by the Beatles in the song Tomorrow Never Knows.
A reading from the book was recorded by the authors on an LP under the name The Psychedelic Experience in 1966, and reissued on CD by Folkways in 2003.

Timothy Leary, the CIA and the rise of LSD and the psychedelic revolution in America are examined with technologist, explorer and spiritual seeker John Schewel. Schewel recalls the popularization and subsequent criminalization of LSD in the 1960 and gives his take on the War on Drugs 50 years later, in this uncensored Antidote interview hosted by Michael Parker.

John Schewel grew up in Miami Beach, Florida and attended NYU at the Greenwich Village Campus in the mid sixties. He was involved in the protests of the sixties which shut down the major universities in NYC and foreshadowed the general protests against the war and mis-truth to come.
John co-founded the first NYC Be-In and also was one of the nineteen original members of the League for Spiritual Discovery, Millbrook, New York, an extension of the work that was lead and started by Timothy Leary, Ralph Metzner and Richard Alpert at Harvard for the use of psychedelics for spiritual exploration.
He has lived in four continents over the past forty years, exploring the mystical and spiritual paths of various cultures from Afghanistan to Sierra Nevada mountains of Northern Columbia. From his hermetic studies in Basel, Suisse, he began focusing on computer technology guided by such works as the IChing, Paracelsus’s notebooks and other ancient systems that indicated a close relationship of the binary code and the organizations of sacred works.
On a professional level, John has 35 years experience in programming, Software Design & Development, Technology Management and Productization of Software, High Performance Computers and Transaction Processing Systems. As Vice President of Virtual Computer Corporation, he was a key member of the organization that created Reconfigurable Computing Systems used by Government Departments & Agencies, Communications Companies and Advanced Systems Engineering Schools, Worldwide. These systems performed calculation that were 10,000 times faster than compared to the existing Intel Pentium technology at the time.
As the founding editor of the Proceedings of SPIE’s - Reconfigurable Technology for 5 years, John has been a Keynote speaker at numerous Technology Conferences and Symposiums held in the US and Europe; and was one of three invited industrial representatives to speak at the 25 Year Deep Space Exploration Planning Workshop held by NASA and JPL (Jet Propulsion Laboratory). Over the years he's had numerous technical papers published.
John led the design, construction and management team of an advanced debit-card processing center offering connectivity for multiple card programs worldwide. Other achievements include solutions used by the aerospace industry, national security-defense and social networks that combined both engineering new technology and the architecture of business strategy.
He is currently focusing on a esoteric platform for the cross-referencing of diverse systems from the collective consciousness of mankind, with the purpose of providing tools for spiritual explorers of the Aquarian Age. The foundation of this platform is based upon a work completed during his and Rosemary Woodruff (Leary’s) time spent at Solicchiata, Mt. Etna, Sicily, Italy in the early seventies.

Obviously critical members of the TED scientific board have little or no literacy in the psychology, pharmacology, scientific research, and anthropology of psychedelic/entheogenic substance use. Timothy Francis Leary (October 22, 1920 – May 31, 1996) was an American psychologist and writer, known for his advocacy of psychedelic drugs. During a time when drugs such as LSD and psilocybin were legal, Leary conducted experiments at Harvard University under the Harvard Psilocybin Project, resulting in the Concord Prison Experiment and the Marsh Chapel Experiment. Both studies produced useful data, but Leary and his associate Richard Alpert were fired from the university.
Leary believed LSD showed therapeutic potential for use in psychiatry. He popularized catchphrases that promoted his philosophy, such as "turn on, tune in, drop out", "set and setting", and "think for yourself and question authority". He also wrote and spoke frequently about transhumanist concepts involving space migration, intelligence increase and life extension (SMI²LE), and he developed the eight-circuit model of consciousness in his book Exo-Psychology (1977).
During the 1960s and 1970s, Leary was arrested regularly and was held captive in 29 different prisons throughout the world. President Richard Nixon once described Leary as "the most dangerous man in America".

John Schewel grew up in Miami Beach, Florida and attended NYU at the Greenwich Village Campus in the mid sixties. He was involved in the protests of the sixties which shut down the major universities in NYC and foreshadowed the general protests against the war and mis-truth to come.
John co-founded the first NYC Be-In and also was one of the nineteen original members of the League for Spiritual Discovery, Millbrook, New York, an extension of the work that was lead and started by Timothy Leary, Ralph Metzner and Richard Alpert at Harvard for the use of psychedelics for spiritual exploration.
He has lived in four continents over the past forty years, exploring the mystical and spiritual paths of various cultures from Afghanistan to Sierra Nevada mountains of Northern Columbia. From his hermetic studies in Basel, Suisse, he began focusing on computer technology guided by such works as the IChing, Paracelsus’s notebooks and other ancient systems that indicated a close relationship of the binary code and the organizations of sacred works.
On a professional level, John has 35 years experience in programming, Software Design & Development, Technology Management and Productization of Software, High Performance Computers and Transaction Processing Systems. As Vice President of Virtual Computer Corporation, he was a key member of the organization that created Reconfigurable Computing Systems used by Government Departments & Agencies, Communications Companies and Advanced Systems Engineering Schools, Worldwide. These systems performed calculation that were 10,000 times faster than compared to the existing Intel Pentium technology at the time.
As the founding editor of the Proceedings of SPIE’s - Reconfigurable Technology for 5 years, John has been a Keynote speaker at numerous Technology Conferences and Symposiums held in the US and Europe; and was one of three invited industrial representatives to speak at the 25 Year Deep Space Exploration Planning Workshop held by NASA and JPL (Jet Propulsion Laboratory). Over the years he's had numerous technical papers published.
John led the design, construction and management team of an advanced debit-card processing center offering connectivity for multiple card programs worldwide. Other achievements include solutions used by the aerospace industry, national security-defense and social networks that combined both engineering new technology and the architecture of business strategy.
He is currently focusing on a esoteric platform for the cross-referencing of diverse systems from the collective consciousness of mankind, with the purpose of providing tools for spiritual explorers of the Aquarian Age. The foundation of this platform is based upon a work completed during his and Rosemary Woodruff (Leary’s) time spent at Solicchiata, Mt. Etna, Sicily, Italy in the early seventies.

Do they realize that two Nobel prize winning scientists (Francis Crick and Kary Mullis) have been inspired by psychedelics to produce the work that got them the prize?
Obviously critical members of the TED scientific board have little or no literacy in the psychology, pharmacology, scientific research, and anthropology of psychedelic/entheogenic substance use. Here is a list of all the property owners (compiled from courthouse public records) within one mile of the proposed Cleburne County wind farm. Some of the property is vacant, and residents that rent are not included because this is only "owners." Most communities that have had problems are moving to require 1.25 mile setbacks (or more) of new turbines away from people. Many complaints against wind plants extend on out to two or even 3 1/2 miles. If you live in this area, you can expect to be bothered or annoyed in some way. If you simply own property and do not reside there, you can expect to lose some value of your property, and possibly the future use of your property if noise pollution or other factors make it uninhabitable. Alabama lawmakers need to act quickly to protect people from noise, shadow flicker and infrasound with proper setback requirements for these industrial wind power plants.

Important information for people living near Turkey Heaven Mountain and the proposed Industrial Wind Facility :
Here is a list of all the property owners (compiled from courthouse public records) within one mile of the proposed Cleburne County wind farm. Some of the property is vacant, and residents that rent are not included because this is only "owners." Most communities that have had problems are moving to require 1.25 mile setbacks (or more) of new turbines away from people. Many complaints against wind plants extend on out to two or even 3 1/2 miles. If you live in this area, you can expect to be bothered or annoyed in some way. If you simply own property and do not reside there, you can expect to lose some value of your property, and possibly the future use of your property if noise pollution or other factors make it uninhabitable. Alabama lawmakers need to act quickly to protect people from noise, shadow flicker and infrasound with proper setback requirements for these industrial wind power plants.

In recent years the choral music of America has become extremely popular, thanks to the music of Eric Whitacre and Morten Lauridsen. This concert casts light on a few more composers who have illuminated the last half-century, and who now take their place on the international stage, including the UK premiere of Bern Herbolsheimer’s ‘Seven Last Words’ and two brand new arrangements of Negro Spirituals by Timothy Burtt and Carter Sligh.

Dr. French graduated with his PhD from one of the leading European universities, the University of Birmingham in England, in December 2011. His Doctoral Thesis is the first of its kind, researching the foundations of the Oneness Movement at a major university, under the supervision of well-known and well-published college administrator, educator, and author Dr. Allan Anderson, Director of the Graduate Institute at the University of Birmingham.
The 140,000 word Thesis is entitled “Early Oneness Pentecostalism, G. T. Haywood, and the Interracial Pentecostal Assemblies of the World (1906-1931),” and uncovers a wealth of historical treasures and important bits of missing data regarding the early growth, development, and leadership of Oneness Pentecostalism. The core of the research documents the fascinating and important primary sources regarding Haywood’s role in the interracial success of the early movement, especially the PAW, the fore-runner organization of the UPCI. The Thesis demonstrates the trajectory of the emerging movement from inception to a movement of more than 30 million today, with much of its success contributable to its early leadership, such as that of Haywood, William Pendleton, J. J. Frazee, Edward W. Doak, Frank Ewart, Robert C. Lawson, Samuel N. Hancock, D. C. O. Opperman, Howard Goss, Andrew D. Urshan and William Booth-Clibborn. Plans for publishing the work with a major academic publisher are in progress.
Dr. French has also earned degrees from and/or studied at the Apostolic Bible Institute (St. Paul), Crighton College (Memphis), and Wheaton College and Wheaton College Graduate School, and the University of Indiana (Bloomington). In addition to the PhD he holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Ancient Language (Greek), a Master of Arts degree in New Testament Theology, as well as a four year degree in Pentecostal Studies. His earlier Master of Arts Thesis at Wheaton College Graduate School on the history of the Oneness Pentecostal movement gained national recognition when published in 1999 under the title Our God Is One: The Story of the Oneness Pentecostals. It is a landmark study, and now best-seller, regarding the history and expansion of the Oneness movement into a worldwide phenomenon.
After the publication of Our God Is One, he also developed for publication a laminated doctrinal booklet series, “Steadfast in the Apostles’ Doctrine,” in a fold-out pamphlet format. The series currently includes two full-color titles, The Oneness and Jesus’ Name Baptism.
Talmadge and Rebecca French have been married thirty five years, and have three sons. The oldest, Ryan, is a fulltime Assistant Pastor serving the congregation of Apostolic Tabernacle, married to Rachel (Shambo), and has one daughter, Julia Lynn, and a son, Talmadge Joseph. Their middle son, Jonathan, is married to Vera (Kelbaytrov) and they have a baby on the way. The youngest son, Nathan, is currently doing undergraduate work in Biblical Studies and serves as the Worship Minister for Apostolic Tabernacle.
Now fifty eight years old, Talmadge L. French began his preaching ministry in 1976, and evangelized for four years. He later served for three years as an assistant pastor in West Memphis, Arkansas, with Rev. Bobby McCool, then later went to the Chicago area to establish a new church in Wheaton, Illinois beginning in 1983. He served for a time on the UPCI Illinois District Board.
n 1994, he began commuting to Indianapolis, as an Instructor of Bible, Theology, and Biblical Languages at Indiana Bible College of Calvary Tabernacle, Paul Mooney, President. In 2000, the French family moved to Indianapolis to become the fulltime Dean of the Department of Biblical Studies, continuing, though, as a fulltime Instructor, as well. In 2005 he became the became the Executive Vice President of Indiana Bible College, the position he held from 2005-2007.
After leaving IBC in May 2007, he became Provost of the Apostolic School of Theology, Sacramento, California, and instructor of theology and biblical languages, developing extensive course work for online accredited Apostolic studies, including online courses in Greek and Hebrew. These courses, including Greek and Hebrew, Theology and Doctrine, Philosophy, Ethics, Evangelism, and more, are now being prepared for online availability through the Oneness Studies Institute.

Their middle son, Jonathan, is married to Vera (Kelbaytrov) and they have a baby on the way. The youngest son, Nathan, is currently doing undergraduate work in Biblical Studies and serves as the Worship Minister for Apostolic Tabernacle.
Now fifty eight years old, Talmadge L. French began his preaching ministry in 1976, and evangelized for four years. He later served for three years as an assistant pastor in West Memphis, Arkansas, with Rev. Bobby McCool, then later went to the Chicago area to establish a new church in Wheaton, Illinois beginning in 1983. He served for a time on the UPCI Illinois District Board.
n 1994, he began commuting to Indianapolis, as an Instructor of Bible, Theology, and Biblical Languages at Indiana Bible College of Calvary Tabernacle, Paul Mooney, President. In 2000, the French family moved to Indianapolis to become the fulltime Dean of the Department of Biblical Studies, continuing, though, as a fulltime Instructor, as well. In 2005 he became the became the Executive Vice President of Indiana Bible College, the position he held from 2005-2007.
After leaving IBC in May 2007, he became Provost of the Apostolic School of Theology, Sacramento, California, and instructor of theology and biblical languages, developing extensive course work for online accredited Apostolic studies, including online courses in Greek and Hebrew. These courses, including Greek and Hebrew, Theology and Doctrine, Philosophy, Ethics, Evangelism, and more, are now being prepared for online availability through the Oneness Studies Institute.
