HELLO MY SWEETHEARTS!!! This video was filmed two weeks ago, in srilanka, and as you can see I have a guest. My sister liga ( @ligavalodze) . This is our last video together for this year, so hopefully you enjoy it. We tried actually more than this what you see, but I had to cut down to the minimum so you don't get too bored. Yes, most of the sweets were pretty normal and usual, so if you ever happen to be in sri lanka, here's a few you can totally try.
My next video will be back to normal in my old set up and ofcorse talking about makeup. Can't wait. To the next one. cheers :)

Sri Lanka (/sriːˈlɑːŋkə, -ˈlæŋkə/ or 
i/ʃriː-/;Sinhalese - ශ්රී ලංකාව, Tamil Ilaṅkai), officially the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and known from the beginning of British colonial rule until 1972 as Ceylon (/sᵻˈlɒnˌ seɪ-ˌ siː-/), is an island country in South Asia near south-east India.
Sri Lanka has maritime borders with India to the northwest and the Maldives to the southwest. Its documented history spans 3,000 years, with evidence of pre-historic human settlements dating back to at least 125,000 years. Its geographic location and deep harbours made it of great strategic importance from the time of the ancient Silk Road through to World War II.
A diverse and multicultural country, Sri Lanka is home to many religions, ethnic groups, and languages. In addition to the majority Sinhalese, it is home to large groups of Sri Lankan and Indian Tamils, Moors, Burghers, Malays, Kaffirs and the aboriginal Vedda. Sri Lanka has a rich Buddhist heritage, and the first known Buddhist writings of Sri Lanka, the Pāli Canon, dates back to the Fourth Buddhist council in 29 BC. The country's recent history has been marred by a thirty-year civil war which decisively ended when Sri Lankan military defeated Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam in 2009.

Sri Lankan Americans
Sri Lankan Americans (Sinhala: Sri Lankika Amerikanu) are Americans of full or partial Sri Lankan ancestry. Sri Lankan Americans are persons of Sri Lankan origin from various Sri Lankan ethnic backgrounds. The people are classified as South Asian in origin.
History
Sri Lankans started arriving in the U.S. around the mid 1950s in larger numbers, but there is evidence from U.S. census records of Sri Lankans having arrived in earlier years from Ceylon.
In 1975, Sri Lankan immigrants were classified for the first time as belonging to a category separate from "other Asian". In that year, 432 Sri Lankans entered the United States.
According to the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service records, in 1996, 1,277 Sri Lankans were naturalized. This included 615 who had arrived in 1995 and 254 who had arrived in 1994, compared with only 68 arrivals in 1993 and 17 before 1985.
The number increased to 14,448 in the 1990s in conjunction with the Sri Lankan Civil War. Sri Lankan Americans settled largely in cities.

Demographics of Sri Lanka
This article is about the demographic features of the population of Sri Lanka, including population density, ethnicity, education level, health of the populace, economic status, religious affiliations and other aspects of the population.
Sri Lanka is an island in the Indian Ocean also called Ceylon and many other names. It is about the size of Ireland. It is about 28 kilometres (18 mi.) off the south-eastern coast of India with a population of about 20 million. Density is highest in the south west where Colombo, the country's main port and industrial center, is located. The net population growth is about 0.7%. Sri Lanka is ethnically, linguistically, and religiously diverse.
Overview
According to the 2012 census the population of Sri Lanka was 20,359,439, giving a population density of 325/km2. The population had grown by 5,512,689 (37.1%) since the 1981 census (the last full census), equivalent to an annual growth rate of 1.1%. 3,704,470 (18.2%) lived in urban sectors - areas governed by municipal and urban councils.

SRI LANKA TOURIST GUIDE - #4 of 12
For my forth country of the year, I flew over to Sri Lanka, starting in the capital, Colombo. After a day on the road, I found myself in the stunning surroundings of Dambulla, where I wasted no time in trekking the Sri Lankan jungle. We then spent some time in Sigiriya, relaxing in the Jetwing hotel and seeing elephants on safari! After another long journey up to the North of the country, we spent a week on the beaches of Trincomalee, where we saw dolphins, whales and I indulged in a spot of jetskiing. But before going home, I had to experience one of the most famous Sri Lankan delicacies, it's tea, in Kandy. We just arrived in Sri Lanka and we get on a bus to reach Galle, a colonial fortified town in the south. The bus air con is provided by the doors which are kept always open. We loved at first sight the colorful people and the many tuk-tuks that are around. All Bajaj like the one they we drove in India 10 years ago. Sri Lanka was never on my list of places I want to visit but I decided to give it a go and went there anyway and the country turned out to be among the best country I've been to. After a day on the road, I found myself in the stunning surroundings of Dambulla, where I wasted no time in trekking the Sri Lankan jungle. We then spent some time in Sigiriya, relaxing in the Jetwing hotel and seeing elephants on safari! After another long journey up to the North of the country, we spent a week on the beaches of Trincomalee, where we saw dolphins, whales and I indulged in a spot of jetskiing. But before going home, I had to experience one of the most famous Sri Lankan delicacies, it's tea, in Kandy.

We just arrived in Sri Lanka and we get on a bus to reach Galle, a colonial fortified town in the south. The bus air con is provided by the doors which are kept always open. We loved at first sight the colorful people and the many tuk-tuks that are around. All Bajaj like the one they we drove in India 10 years ago.
In this travel report, we explore Sri Lanka by bus, train and tuk-tuk. The definition “India for beginners” is not doing justice to this country. We soon learn, that more than temples and landscapes, we are fascinated by its colourful population

I spent 2 weeks in Sri Lanka starting from Colombo, Habarana, Kandy, Ella, Udawalawe national park, Tangalle, and ended in Mirissa and I have experienced so many things in that 2 weeks from going on an elephant safari to witnessing the world largest animal, the blue whale off the coast of Mirissa. Sri Lanka was never on my list of places I want to visit but I decided to give it a go and went there anyway and the country turned out to be among the best country I've been to. The wildlife there is unbelievable, the beaches are mostly untouched, the Sigiriya is definitely worth a hike, and the best of all, the people were extremely friendly toward travelers. If you want to go off the beaten track then Sri Lanka is a must for you.
For this video, I decided to play around a little bit more with transitions and time remapping and the result turned out pretty good imo. I also try my first handheld hyperlapse shot and I'm loving the result so you will be seeing more of this technique used in my future travel videos. :) Let me know what you guys think about the technique used or feel free to ask me any questions in the comments! 6 Ways You Can Give to Nepal Earthquake Relief

Justin and I managed to squeeze in several hikes during our week-long stay in Nepal in December of 2015.
Despite the winter season being in full swing (and we are folks from a tropical country who never experience this kind of weather back at home!) we still spent majority of our time outdoors.
The Nagarkot Panoramic Hike (2 hours) took us in and out of villages surrounding Nagarkot, a 2000 MASL hilltown 1-1/2 hours away from Kathmandu. As the activity suggests, the hike was a leisurely walk along the Nagarkot ridge with open views of the Langtang Range, Manaslu, Dorje Lhakpa and the Central Nepal / Himalayan Range. We got info on this hike from Kyarol Dhoju of Peaceful Cottage and Cafe du mont, who also helped secure our hike guide. Temperature lowest at 1º.
A day after, we headed westward by bus to Pokhara where we started our 2-day hike that concluded in Australian Camp, Dhampus. The first day was a 5-hour hike. We spent 1 night in a teahouse. The second day was a more relaxed 3-hour downhill walk back to Naudanda. The Annapurnas could be seen from camp, or from anywhere during the hike for that matter. This 2-day hike is, as we later on learned, the trailhead to Annapurna Base Camp. We got info and everything we needed for this hike from the helpful staff of Himalayan Deurali Resort where we spent 1 night prior the 2-day hike. Temperature in camp: High 7º, low 0º.
Before you go: I would note that in light of an ongoing fuel crisis, transportation costs continue to go up, food choices are slim due to lack of cooking gas, and a country-wide electricity load balancing is in effect leaving everyone out of power 99% of the time we were there. That meant for a tourist: no power in your hostel, no hot shower, hard to bargain. You would be lucky if your hostel had a generator. We saw fewer tourists in the Kathmandu capital than in Pokhara. Hikers and trekkers were still aplenty.
Despite all this, the Nepalis that I returned to and the ones that we met were still the same warm, soft-spoken, passionate people that I knew. They are going through a lot. Tourism WILL help them.

HELLO MY SWEETHEARTS!!! This video was filmed two weeks ago, in srilanka, and as you can see I have a guest. My sister liga ( @ligavalodze) . This is our last video together for this year, so hopefully you enjoy it. We tried actually more than this what you see, but I had to cut down to the minimum so you don't get too bored. Yes, most of the sweets were pretty normal and usual, so if you ever happen to be in sri lanka, here's a few you can totally try. My next video will be back to normal in my old set up and ofcorse talking about makeup. Can't wait. Sri Lankan blue whales are a unique, non-migrating, endangered subspecies. They breed six months out of phase with other pygmy blue whales in the Southern Hemisphere, are half a meter shorter and have a unique vocal call. Most unusually, this population does not migrate to Polar regions, but remains in warm tropical waters year-round. Their confinement within the Northern Indian Ocean makes this population increasingly vulnerable to human activities. In particular, their high-use areas overlap with one of the world’s busiest shipping lanes, and whale deaths due to ship-strikes are well documented and likely to increase.
