Robbie Robertson is the self-titled solo debut by Robbie Robertson, released in 1987. The album won the Juno Award for "Album of the Year", and producers Lanois and Robertson won the "Producer of the Year" Juno award, both in 1989 as there were no Juno Awards held in 1988.
The album includes contributions from the members of U2 and Peter Gabriel, both of whom were also working with producer Daniel Lanois at the time. U2 was recording The Joshua Tree and Gabriel was recording So. U2's contribution is heard in the song "Sweet Fire of Love" which is a duet of sorts between Robertson and U2 lead singer Bono. The other track featuring U2 is "Testimony", again with vocals from Bono. Gabriel's contributions are heard on the song "Fallen Angel", which was dedicated to Robertson's former Band bandmate Richard Manuel, and "Broken Arrow" which reverberates with Gabriel's signature Rhodes electric piano. In addition, Tony Levin and Manu Katché, who were recording with Gabriel, are featured prominently on this record.
Joseph "Robbie" Robertson is a supporting character in Marvel Comics's Spider-Man series. Created by Stan Lee and John Romita Sr., he first appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man #51 (August 1967).
Robertson was one of the first African-American characters in comics to play a serious supporting role, rather than act as comic relief. He has usually been a high-ranking editor at the New York newspaper The Daily Bugle and a close friend and confidant of publisher J. Jonah Jameson, acting as a voice of reason in Jameson’s campaign to discredit Spider-Man. He is more friendly and supportive of Peter Parker and his alter ego Spider-Man as well as the other Bugle staffers than the brash Jameson. In the 1980s his backstory was explored with the revelation of conflict with a superhuman hit man Tombstone, with whom he attended high school. He later spent time in jail with Tombstone (aka Lonnie Lincoln).
Joseph Robertson was born in Harlem, New York. He is married to Martha and they have had two sons. Their first son, Patrick Henry Robertson, died when he was only six months old. Their second son, Randy, is currently divorced. Growing up in a working-class family and being a member of an ethnic minority, Robertson seemed to sympathize with the downtrodden, including Marvel Comics' mutants, and he preached tolerance. He was forced to practice what he preached when his son came home from college with his white Jewish wife, Amanda.

Who would have thought that a guitar preserved in actual bronze would still be playable, let alone iconic? But that’s exactly what happened with Robbie Robertson’s 1954 Stratocaster, an instrument that gained worldwide notoriety when it was featured in the 1978 Martin Scorcese concert film "The Last Waltz". Since the film's release almost 40 years ago, the guitar has achieved legendary status within the guitar community. Soldier of fortune, he's a man of war
Just can't remember what he's fighting for
Start a revolution right before your eyes
When you hear the big bang don't you be surprised
Showdown at big sky
Darkness at high noon
Showdown at big sky
That day may be soon
People, people, can you hear the sound
From every village and every town?
Let the bells ring out, hear the bells ring in
Let the bells ring out, keep them ringing, ringing
Can't predict the future, can't forget the past
Feels like any moment could be the last
All you believers standing inside this room
Can't you see it coming shooting out across the moon?
(Save this place)
In the valley of tears by the river of time
(From weapons race)
In the Book Of David in the Holy Bible
(When it's laid to waste)
It will be written by the children of Eden
(I said save this place)
And the Holy Ghost
Showdown at big sky
Darkness at high noon
Showdown at big sky
That day may be soon
People, people, can you hear the sound
From every village and every town?
Let the bells ring out, hear the bells ring in
Let the bells ring out, keep them ringing, ringing
(Save this place)
In the valley of tears by the river of time
(From weapons race)
In the Book Of David in the Holy Bible
(When it's laid to waste)
It will be written by the children of Eden
(I said save this place)
And the Holy Ghost, and the Holy Ghost
Showdown at big sky
Darkness at high noon
Kiss tomorrow goodbye
That day could be soon
Give us strength, give us wisdom
And give us the morals
Let the bells ring out, hear the bells ring in
Let the bells ring out, keep them ringing, ringing
Let the bells ring out, hear the bells ring in
Let the bells ring out, keep them ringing, ringing
Let the bells ring out, hear the bells ring in
