Plot: Frisco's mother walked out on his father when he was a young boy. She sailed to America chasing her dreams, met a man in New York and had another son called Dallas. Twenty yars later Frisco and his father Roy exist in a sate of impoverished batchelorhood in a South London council flat. Life is uneventful until a letter arrives from Frisco's mother informing him Dallas is to pay them a visit. Dallas is really a small-time crook who owes money to the East Coast mob. Using the pretext of a family visit, Dallas is avoiding his murderous creditors while attempting to 'aquire' new funds. Under the noses of his relatives he embarks on a criminal escapade to restore his depleted cash reserves leaving Frisco and Roy to deal with the consequences.

Plot: Alan gets a map to some war treasure which the Japanese army left behind on a small Pacific island at the end of World War II. But some gangsters try to steal the map from him and so he hides on Charlie's boat which just leaves the harbor. He manipulates the ship's compass so that Charlie is not aware that he is sailing to the treasure island. But when they step on the island, they discover that it is not as abandoned as they believed: there are some natives - and a Japanese soldier still defending the treasure.

Plot: Paul Kriza is a cashier of a bank in a small town, and the happy husband of Anna and the father of four children. He is sent to New York to deliver some securities for the bank. There, he is tagged as easy-pickings by a con-game gang and Mary Brown, gang accomplice, proves he is. Waking up in the morning he discovers he has been robbed of the securities and, when he confronts the gang, he is hit on the head and taken out to be left on a railroad track. He comes to, struggles with the henchman and the man is killed when a train comes roaring by. Paul escapes but his watch is found and he is reported as the dead man. But he can't go home again.
