Waaris: Born as a girl, but a boy to the world

&TV;'s new social drama, 'Waaris', is the story of a girl whose identity is hidden by her mother, Amba, and is raised as a boy. It's the journey of Manpreet Pawania (played by Saniya Touqeer) who, in her innocence, faces the world like a boy and believes whatever her mother says.


The show stars actor Iqbal Khan who was last seen in 'Pyaar Ko Ho Jaane Do' and Arti Singh in the lead along with Mukesh Khanna, Anand Suryavanshi and Akshay Dogra. While Arti plays mother to three kids in the show, Iqbal will be seen sporting a buzz cut for the role.
