Kestrin is a classically trained musician-turned-rocker. She plays cello, percussion, and sings.She was shanghaied into rock and roll when one of her stoner-dude-guitar friends realized she played cello, and suggested she "put a fucking pickup on that thing and rock the fuck out." She was then invited to join the bands of several other stoner-dudes and a lifestyle ensued.
She has performed with Weezer, Beck, Soko, Adam Freeland, Brandi Carlile, Cary Brothers (Grammy Award winning “Garden State” soundtrack), Rob Dickinson (The Catherine Wheel). Her original music has appeared on television shows and award winning films.
