Check out this video to see how to build a very simple and inexpensive trellis for any size raised bed garden. Using some scrap wood that I already had I was able to keep the cost of each of these below $1. These are great for growing peas, cucumbers, pole beans, or any other vining crop. In our case we have six 6' X3' raised bed garden boxes that were made from free pallet wood. I choose to run a trellis down the long side of each box so that I could maximize the amount of climbing crops I could grow. Our family loves pickles and peas so that will be the main use for them this year. This is also the best angle for the sun so that as the vining crops get bigger they will not block out the smaller crops in the box below. I started by cutting 3 2X4's into 6' pieces and 6 2X4's into 45" p...
Trellises are a great way to grow more using less space. I use them for beans, and cucumbers, but they can also be used for squash, or small melons. I like things that are easy, and this trellis is about as easy as it gets. It is pretty close to being a trellis when you buy it. It comes in 8 foot sections, so if you don't want it that tall, you will have to cut some off.......using bolt cutters. I garden in zone 6b. We have some pretty challenging weather sometimes. I don't claim to be an expert, so you will see my successes and my failures. I really appreciate feedback, so please say hi so I'll know you've dropped by. Training climbing vegetables up supports is a great way to get maximum yield from minimum space. Building your own supports is easy, fun and can make an impressive feature in your garden. If you’re growing climbing peas, beans, cucumbers or any other vining plant, you’ll need to build supports to help them grow skywards. Providing support also means you can pack more sprawling plants such as squashes and melons into your space by training them upwards instead. In this video we demonstrate how to choose the best supports for your garden and give step-by-step instructions for creating the ultimate pea and bean frame. If you love growing your own food, why not take a look at our online Garden Planner which is available from several major websites and seed suppliers: http://www.GrowVeg.com ...

My love it's been such a long long time
One day I always knew I'd hear from you again
But I'm sorry to find you're having such hard times
But you thought of me in your time of need
So I say,
Build me a road dear, and I will come running
No matter how long or how hard it may be
I have a light from your love dear to guide me
I promise I'll be there whenever you need
Who'd have thought it would ever come to this
One last letter but no one last kiss
As the seasons go by, everyday you're on my mind babe
I long one day to be with you
So I say,
Build me a road dear and I will come running
No matter how long or how hard it may be
I have a light from your love dear to guide me
I promise I'll be there whenever you need
You promised me I promised you
Our love for one another was true
But somewhere there in time, we went on with our lives
No we're all so far apart
Too far to make a start
Too long to make it end
I must see you again
Build me a road dear and I will come running
No matter how long or how hard it may be
(wherever you are)
I have a light from your love dear to guide me
I promise I'll be there whenever you need
