Jukebox compilation of superhit songs of Amit Kumar. Amit Kumar (born 3 July 1952) is an Indian film playback singer, actor, director, and music director. He is the son of the legendary Indian singer and actor Kishore Kumar and the Bengali singer and actress Ruma Guha Thakurta. Like his father, Amit loved singing and from childhood used to sing during Durga Pooja functions in Kolkata. Once when he was performing on stage in a Durga Pooja function arranged by Bengali actor Uttam Kumar, people kept requesting more songs and this information reached his mother. She complained to Kishore Kumar that his son was singing ,filmy, songs. Hearing that, Kishore Kumar decided to bring him to Bombay. Amit Kumar (born 3 July 1952) is an Indian film playback singer, actor, director, and music director. He is the son of the famous singer and actor Kishore Kumar and the Bengali singer and actress Ruma Guha Thakurta. Like his father, Amit loved singing and from childhood used to sing during Durga Pooja functions in Kolkata. Once when he was performing on stage in a Durga Pooja function arranged by Bengali actor Uttam Kumar, people kept requesting more songs and this information reached his mother. She complained to Kishore Kumar that his son was singing "filmy" songs. Hearing this Kishore Kumar decided to bring him to Bombay.
Before this, Kishore Kumar had cast Amit as his son in two critically acclaimed films that he produced himself, Door Gagan Ki Chhaon Mein (the well known song "Aa chalke tujhe, mein leke chaloon" was filmed with Kishore Kumar singing to his eleven-year-old son) and Door Ka Raahi (with Amit as a teenager).
He has sung many popular Bollywood and regional film songs since the 1970s. Apart from Hindi songs, he sang several songs in Bangla, Bhojpuri, Oriya, Assamese, Marathi, Konkani.

Plot: An SP Amit Kumar who is given charge of Tezpur police station in Bihar. The area is full of corruption, inefficiency, bribery, nepotism, favoritism and crime with help from the local police. Gradually Amit realizes that the local politician Sadhu Yadav is the one who benefits the most out of it. Amit arrests Sunder Yadav, Sadhu's son. While Sunder is released soon, some police officers, get frustrated with the system, and pour acid into the eyes of two of Yadav's men, blinding them. A hue and cry is raised by the media, crime almost comes to a standstill, and the police are regarded with respect. SP Amit Kumar must now put an end to this kind of situation.

Plot: Shraddha lives in Mahim, Bombay, with her widowed dad, younger school-going brother, Bittu; a step-brother and his wife, Rani. When her dad passes away, he leaves all the property in Bittu's name, which does not auger well with Rani and her husband. They lock Shraddha and Bittu in a room, refuse to feed them in order to force him to sign the papers. Both manage to escape, but Bittu is killed when boiling oil falls on his body. An unconscious Shraddha is rescued by her long-time boyfriend, Amit Kumar, who takes her to a hospital, and after she recovers, gets married to her. She is welcomed in the Kumar residence, which consists of Geeta, Amit's mom, and Raju, Amit's school-going brother. Raju welcomes Shraddha initially, but begins to hate her when she becomes pregnant. Then a business rival, Laxmi Narayan, breaks into their house in order to steal money. Both Geeta and Amit are killed when they try to stop him. Now widowed and completely devastated but determined Shraddha aborts her child so that she can look after Raju. Years later, Raju has grown up and is now assisting Shraddha in the family business, which was originally Shraddha Construction, but is now called Geeta Construction. Raju meets and falls in love with Nita. Shraddha approves of her and subsequently arranges their marriage, despite of the fact that she is Laxmi Narayan's daughter. It is after the marriage that Nita will accuse Shraddha of having a affair with her husband, while Shraddha will find out that Nita who is not who she claims to be, as she is not Laxmi Narayan's daughter - but has an altogether different relationship with him.
