Zach wanted to send an update on
Harvest of Generosity's plan for 2016. This video shows the health issues he went through last year.
Hello Harvesters!
For those of you that don't know I'm Zach Caruth. Founder and executive director of Harvest of Generosity. I just wanted to take a moment to update you on our ministry.
Last summer during the beginning on July my health started decreasing. I was hospitalized every month from July-January plus several other
E.R. visits. I was hospitalized in
Holland,
Grand Rapids, and
Ann Arbor. I was falsely diagnosed with a rare disease that would of effected me for the rest of my life. I spent more than 4 weeks at the
Mayo Clinic in
Rochester Minnesota. No doctor has ever seen a case like this. One of the doctors I saw at the Mayo Clinic has 35+ years or experience with similar cases. He has only once seen a patient that had similar symptoms and that was when he was an intern and that patient passed away with tetanus.
These health issues impacted my involvement with Harvest of Generosity. Thankfully we had volunteers that kept the vital part of our ministry going! With that being said the less important parts where dropped because of my health.
I know this has brought up the question if Harvest of Generosity would exist this summer.
The answer is
YES!
God has healed me and every week I keep on getting more and more healthy.
When I was hospitalized in December, I was told that modern medicine has nothing else to offer me and I need to start looking into alternative options. I had a doctor tell me that I needed to come up with my own plan of treatment before I was able to leave the hospital. This doctor did not give me suggestions. Let me tell you our God is so much stronger than the worlds best doctors!
I started regularly listing to healing scriptures, meditating with scripture, praying even more frequently, seeing a chiropractor, I started a new healthy diet with no sugar, gluten, beef, diary, as well as nearly 20 other ingredients, as well as detoxing, seeing a wholistic doctor, using essential oils, as well as other natural options.
God continues to heal me. He has shown me the importance even more of this ministry.
People need healthy fresh organic produce. Not processed food.
Often ministry's with the best intention feed people the food that is making them sick.
Harvest of Generosity ministry is going to be stronger then ever!
We are going to continue to have day camps for youth. We are going to have family events. We are going to be ministering to the community. We are going to be assisting church's and non profits in fulfilling their ministry. We are going to be offering free "Harvest
Experience's" where we teach others how to live a healthy life. We are going to reach the greater Holland area in a new way!
We need your help! We need donations to accomplish this. We need your knowledge. We need volunteers. We need to share this ministry with others!
Will you help us accomplish this?
Please be in prayer about joining this movement.
