On January 1st, 1953 a company Imuna š.p. was established in Šarišské Michaľany. Its business activities were gradually extended to the following areas of production and development: Broths Infusion solutions Dialysate concentrates Dietetic preparations Pads Tablets Blood derivatives Bacteriology diagnostics Cell implants Immunomodulators Vaccines Allergens IMUNA PHARM, a. s. took over portfolio of the original company IMUNA and continues in production of the mentioned assortment of pharmaceutical products for the health service. IMUNA PHARM, a. s. with a new marketing strategy and strengthening its sales department started the production in all divisions by entry of a strategy partner in November 2002. The first stage of restructuring was aimed at support of the production of infusion solutions, tablets and dietetic preparations on the basis of milk proteins. Currently, IMUNA PHARM, a. s. provides the collection of plasma in the Slovak Republic, and its subsequent transfer to the Spain firm Grifols, where is treated and then returned to the Slovak market in the form of products. We are the only firm on the market offering products made from the Slovak plasma. IMUNA PHARM, joint stock company, has purchased shares of the Czech pharmaceutical company SEVAPHARMA, a. s., in autumn 2005, and whereby its portfolio was extended by the vaccine, allergen and immunomodulator production. Currently, IMUNA PHARM, a. s. starts production of fibroblasts. Mainly fibroblasts, classified into the group of cell implants, are used in the plastic surgery and are very appreciated in healing and regeneration processes (wrinkles). This is a non-toxic, natural way for the body to remove wrinkles and the mechanism of its action is based on the biological principles of skin regeneration. The Company benefits from a good reputation of the firm and a superior portfolio of products during a long-term participation of IMUNA PHARM, a. s. in the pharmaceutical market. Its strategic aim is to re-acquire lost dominant positions in the Slovak Republic and Czech Republic. Alongside its expansion and modernization of production capacities, IMUNA PHARM, a. s. is aimed at research and development activities. It entered into frame contracts with the P.J. Šafárik University in Košice, Virology Institute of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, and the Veterinary Medicine University in Košice that includes a newly opened field of study - Pharmacy. The Company simultaneously creates new work possibilities for specialists, graduates from colleges and industrial schools.
