Hello everyone! This is my first flight review onboard Freebird Airlines Airbus A320-200 aircraft I was travelling from Glasgow Airport, Scotland to Dalaman/Mugla Airport, Turkey It was a full flight and the crew on this flight were most hospitable. One of the highlights of my trip was that United Airlines were celebrating 15 years of their Glasgow to Newark flights, (previously served by Continental Airlines) There was a small American themed buffet at the gate and a tribute to Elvis Presley. Members from the Glasgow City Council and airport bosses inaugurated the flight. The Boeing 757 was given a traditional 'water cannon salute'
Please do excuse the background voices. My brother, friend and Dad were all talking so loudly!

On the stunning evening of 14th September 2013, we were at Sheldon Country Park at Birmingham International Airport (EGBB/BHX) and this was one of the aircraft we saw.
This Freebird Airlines airbus A320 (reg; TC-FBH) arrived from Dalaman, Turkey at around 18:30 BST, shortly after an Air India 787 operating one of the first flights into BHX after beginning service a week or so before this was filmed. It landed on runway 33 and then vacated at B, before taxying along A, D and V to stand. This video includes the ATC communications between the pilot and controller.
I still have plans to make a compilation of clips taken from the evening this was filmed, the lighting was perfect and I got some great footage.
My mate Will (bristolcardifairport) came up to Birmingham on this trip which was awesome, check out his channel here; www.youtube.com/bristolcardifairport.
A quick note; I did have some focusing problems while filming this such that if I zoomed in any more it wouldn't focus so I had to keep this fairly low zoom unfortunately. But sometimes it is nice to be able to get a better perspective of things anyway.

Freebird Airlines (Turkish: Hürkuş Havayolu Taşımacılık ve Ticaret A.Ş.) is an airline based in Florya, Bakirköy, Istanbul, Turkey. It operates holiday charter flights in Europe to and from Turkish holiday resorts. Its main base is Atatürk International Airport, Istanbul, with hubs at Antalya Airport and Dalaman Airport.
The airline was established in June 2000 and started operations on April 5, 2001 with a service between Istanbul and Lyon using a McDonnell Douglas MD-83 aircraft.
In November 2003 the airline received its first Airbus A320 aircraft, and today the fleet is made up entirely of this aircraft family.

Members from the Glasgow City Council and airport bosses inaugurated the flight. The Boeing 757 was given a traditional 'water cannon salute' Please do excuse the background voices. My brother, friend and Dad were all talking so loudly! -

This is my first flight review onboard Freebird Airlines Airbus A320-200 aircraft I was travelling from Glasgow Airport, Scotland to Dalaman/Mugla Airport, Turkey It was a full flight and the crew on this flight were most hospitable. One of the highlights of my trip was that United Airlines were celebrating 15 years of their Glasgow to Newark flights, (previously served by Continental Airlines) There was a small American themed buffet at the gate and a tribute to Elvis Presley. Members from the Glasgow City Council and airport bosses inaugurated the flight. The Boeing 757 was given a traditional 'water cannon salute'

On the stunning evening of 14th September 2013, we were at Sheldon Country Park at Birmingham International Airport (EGBB/BHX) and this was one of the aircraft we saw.
This Freebird Airlines airbus A320 (reg; TC-FBH) arrived from Dalaman, Turkey at around 18:30 BST, shortly after an Air India 787 operating one of the first flights into BHX after beginning service a week or so before this was filmed. It landed on runway 33 and then vacated at B, before taxying along A, D and V to stand. This video includes the ATC communications between the pilot and controller.
I still have plans to make a compilation of clips taken from the evening this was filmed, the lighting was perfect and I got some great footage.

A quick note; I did have some focusing problems while filming this such that if I zoomed in any more it wouldn't focus so I had to keep this fairly low zoom unfortunately. But sometimes it is nice to be able to get a better perspective of things anyway.
