He's the creator of classics such as 'The Awakening', 'On The Beach' and 'Addicted'. But he's also the producer behind 'Salida Del Sol', 'Red Violin' and his latest addition, 'Swan Dive'. Taken from his impressive 'Islanders' album, he shows never to have lost his stamina for quality music.

Withstanding the test of time, it's the sounds of German producer York that will once again reign supreme. More than 20 years after he found a passion to live for, Torsten Stenzel still has the same, relentless stamina for music. The mastermind behind classics such as 'The Awakening', 'On The Beach' and 'Addicted' proudly presents 'Islanders'. The brand new York album that'll show you that this pioneer still knows how to walk today's musical landscape.
York was one of the first names to adopt the trance sound. In the early 90's, he worked on projects such as Taucher, DJ Sakin & Friends and Suspicious, selling over 3 million records and earning 10 Gold and Platinum Awards with his sales. Completing his dream, was the launch of his very own Planet Love Records. Set up in 1992, it kick-started a new era for EDM and became a realm for those in search of quality music. In November 2011, Planet Love joined forces with Armada Music, offering a great opportunity for York to enjoy a fresh start. And so he did.
Riding his typical and timeless sound, known for its breath-taking melodies, deep bass and enchanting vocals, 'Islanders' brings out a full-colour reflection of what York is all about. A sound eclectic, touching the edges of Balearic chill-out, while moving you with slick progressive and warm, trancy beats. Taking you in and rushing over, is exactly what 'Islanders' does.

Ani DiFranco was born in Buffalo, New York, to Elizabeth and Dante DiFranco, who had met while attending MIT. She started playing Beatles covers at local bars and busking with her guitar teacher, Michael Meldrum, at the age of nine.
DiFranco's guitar playing is often characterized by a signature staccato style, rapid fingerpicking and many alternate tunings. She delivers many of her lines in a speaking style notable for its rhythmic variation. Her lyrics, which often include alliteration, metaphor, word play and a more or less gentle irony, have also received praise for their sophistication.
She has continued touring through 2011. As of 2008 her backing band consists of Todd Sickafoose on upright bass, Allison Miller on drums, and Mike Dillon on percussion and vibes.

York (
i/ˈjɔːrk/) is a historic walled city at the confluence of the rivers Ouse and Foss in North Yorkshire, England, and is the traditional county town of Yorkshire to which it gives its name. Ani DiFranco (/ˈɑːniː/; born Angela Maria DiFranco; September 23, 1970) is an American singer, multi-instrumentalist, poet, songwriter and businesswoman. She has released more than 20 albums and is widely considered a feminist icon. DiFranco has received positive feedback from critics for much of her career.
Although DiFranco's music has been classified as both folk rock and alternative rock, she has reached across genres since her earliest albums incorporating first punk, then funk, hip hop, and jazz influences. She was one of the first independent musicians to create her own record label (Righteous Babe), a move that has given her significant creative freedom.
From the earliest days of her career, DiFranco has lent her voice and her name to a broad range of social movements, performing benefit concerts, appearing on benefit albums, and speaking at rallies. Completing his dream, was the launch of his very own Planet Love Records. Set up in 1992, it kick-started a new era for EDM and became a realm for those in search of quality music. In November 2011, Planet Love joined forces with Armada Music, offering a great opportunity for York to enjoy a fresh start. And so he did.
Riding his typical and timeless sound, known for its breath-taking melodies, deep bass and enchanting vocals, 'Islanders' brings out a full-colour reflection of what York is all about. Ani DiFranco was born in Buffalo, New York, to Elizabeth and Dante DiFranco, who had met while attending MIT. She started playing Beatles covers at local bars and busking with her guitar teacher, Michael Meldrum, at the age of nine.
DiFranco's guitar playing is often characterized by a signature staccato style, rapid fingerpicking and many alternate tunings. She delivers many of her lines in a speaking style notable for its rhythmic variation. Summer in NYC isn't really summer until you get your butt on a rooftop. My pick was Jimmy Rooftop. Sunday's after 3pm are bomb! Amazing music courtesy of DJ Cato. I believe it is doorman discretion, which means, dress your best and don't travel with a bunch of dudes. You get an amazing view of the sun setting over the Hudson River and you get to splash around in the pool if you so choose. I chose this spot because I used to work here and loved it!

Yes! Go to Church! After you party it up Saturday night or Sunday afternoon bring your sinful behind to this awesome church! You don't have to be religious to attend. This is a non-denominal church and people from all over the world come here for the amazing sermons and not to mention the interior. This Church is a converted theatre and a must see. I will do more in depth videos on neighborhoods like Harlem, Brooklyn, Lower East Side which will include shopping, entertainment, eating, all that :) But for now I hope you find this helpful and excited about exploring NYC. Need to get around? Rent a bike! I have yet to try this but it seems fabulous! Save your feet and cover more ground. These bikes and bike spots are all over the city. A perfect way to burn calories and see more of the city faster.

Summer in NYC isn't really summer until you get your butt on a rooftop. My pick was Jimmy Rooftop. Sunday's after 3pm are bomb! Amazing music courtesy of DJ Cato. I believe it is doorman discretion, which means, dress your best and don't travel with a bunch of dudes. You get an amazing view of the sun setting over the Hudson River and you get to splash around in the pool if you so choose. I chose this spot because I used to work here and loved it!

Yes! Go to Church! After you party it up Saturday night or Sunday afternoon bring your sinful behind to this awesome church! You don't have to be religious to attend. This is a non-denominal church and people from all over the world come here for the amazing sermons and not to mention the interior. This Church is a converted theatre and a must see. Now go and pray!

Most journeys begin at Penn Station or Grand Central, and if you arrive at the later you'll be wowed by the building. The Meatpacking District was once home to markets, slaughterhouses, and packaging plants, but times have changed. Today you'll find a mixture of trendy restaurants, clubs and boutiques. The Village used to be a bohemian neighborhood that drew artists and musicians, but today you're more likely to find upper middle class families living here. Completed in 1883, Brooklyn Bridge is one of the oldest suspension bridges in the United States. Williamsburg has become popular given its lower rent prices. University students and young professionals have been flocking to this part of town.
You can walk along the riverfront for a great view of the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges and the Manhattan skyline. During the summer months, Bryant Park also becomes a popular hangout spot people looking to relax and even work on their tans. The Staten Island Ferry is free of charge and this makes it really popular with visitors who want to catch a glimpse of the Statue of Liberty from a distance. Battery Park is located on the southern tip of Manhattan. Having both lived in South Korea, we were thrilled to come across Manhattan's own Little Korea. Coney Island is all about good old fashioned fun. The Cloisters will make you feel like you've travelled over to Europe. Central Park is massive and there are so many places to visit within its boundaries. We managed to visit Belvedere Castle, the Great Lawn, Shakespeare Garden, The Ramble, The Jackie Onassis Reservoir, the Alice in Wonderland Statue, and we still left feeling like we barely scratched the surface.
And that concludes a look at our very busy week in New York City. I'm still shocked we managed to cover so many attractions, but the great thing about this city is that distances aren't very long and there's always something really cool worth checking out around each corner. Nearby the Roman Catholic Saint Patrick´s Cathedral is the largest and most magnificent church in the United States. The Grand Central Terminal divides Park Avenue and is a huge station with which the railroad kings, the Venderbilts, left an indelible mark. The huge hall, with its magnificent vaulted ceiling in Beaux Arts style, has been the city’s central railway station for twelve lines since 1913. The confines of Chinatown are inhabited by a hundred and fifty thousand Chinese from China, Taiwan and Hong Kong, most of whom are unable to speak a word of English. Chinese characters wherever one looks and restaurants and Asian stores on every street corner. The famous Wall Street was named after a wall which in the early days protected the growing city against attack by Native American Indians. However, the roots of its subsequent claim to fame were laid in 1792. The young state desperately needed investment and therefore the powers that be decided to issue bonds. Close by, on a small island, is New York’s most famous landmark, the Statue Of Liberty. The head of Lady Liberty leads to the crown from which there are stunning views from several windows. New York City is most certainly unique. A city that’s very much alive and kicking, self-confident and always a surprise!

This fortified town is surrounded by high stone walls that protected it from attackers in the past and then from modernization. The walls, dating to the Middle Ages and still 95 percent intact, are nearly three miles long, making it the nation's longest continuous stretch of medieval fortifications. A hundred other towns in Great Britain had fortified walls, but only York has such a grand state of preservation. Moreover, it is the only place where the walls were constructed on top of an earthen mound, making them that much more imposing.
In all of Europe there are only a few medieval walled towns standing today, such as Rhodes in Greece, Carcassonne in France, and York.
