Caravan is a 1971 Bollywood film produced under Nasir Hussain Films banner, directed by Nasir Hussain and produced by his brother Tahir Hussain. The film stars Jeetendra and the Nasir Husain fixture- Asha Parekh in lead roles. It also has Aruna Irani, Helen and Madan Puri. Two more Hussain fixtures were involved in the songs; lyricist Majrooh Sultanpuri and music composer R.D. Burman.
The film was a "Mega Hit" at the box office.
The story is a thriller about a young woman, Sunita (played by Asha Parekh), who ends up married to the "wrong" man, Rajan. Thinking that he has conspired with his girlfriend Monica (played by Helen) to murder her, she runs away to find an old friend of her father's in Bangalore who may be able to help. Having no money, the only way she can get there is to join a traveling group of gypsies. There she meets Mohan (played by Jeetendra) and is attracted to him. But Nisha (played by Aruna Irani), who loves Mohan, can go to the extent of killing anyone who gets in her way.
