Guess Who may refer to:
The Guess Who are a Canadian rock band from Winnipeg, Manitoba. Initially gaining recognition in Canada, the group also found international success from the late 1960s through the mid-1970s with numerous hit singles, including "No Time", "American Woman", "These Eyes" and "Share the Land". Several former members of The Guess Who, notably Burton Cummings and Randy Bachman (of Bachman–Turner Overdrive), have found considerable success outside the band. Formed as a garage rock/rhythm and blues group during the rise of British beat, their musical style primarily consisted of pop rock, blues rock, psychedelic rock and hard rock.
The band was inducted into The Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 1987. In 2002, Randy Bachman, Burton Cummings, Garry Peterson, Donnie McDougall and Bill Wallace received the Governor General's Performing Arts Award for Lifetime Artistic Achievement, Canada's highest honour in the performing arts, for The Guess Who's contribution to popular music in Canada.
The Roots are an American hip hop/neo soul band, formed in 1987 by Tariq "Black Thought" Trotter and Ahmir "Questlove" Thompson in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. The Roots are known for a jazzy and eclectic approach to hip-hop featuring live musical instruments.Malik B., Leonard "Hub" Hubbard, and Josh Abrams were added to the band (formerly named "The Square Roots").
Since its first independent album-length release the band has released 10 studio albums, two EPs, two collaboration albums (with other artists), and also collaborated on recordings and in live shows with a wide variety of artists in many musical genres. The Roots served as the house band on NBC's Late Night with Jimmy Fallon from 2009 to 2014, and in the same role (and accompanying show guest artists) on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon since 2014. The Roots' work has consistently been met with critical acclaim. About.com ranked the band #7 on its list of the 25 Best Hip-Hop Groups of All-Time, calling them "Hip-hop's first legitimate band."
Undun is the tenth studio album by American hip hop band The Roots, released on December 2, 2011, by Def Jam Recordings. Recording sessions for the album took place at several recording locations in Philadelphia and New York City. Production was handled primarily by Questlove, record producer and drummer for the band.
Undun incorporates neo soul and indie music elements. It is an existential concept album about the short, tragic life of fictional character Redford Stevens, set in urban poverty, and is told through a reverse-chronological narrative.
The album performed modestly on music charts and sold 112,000 copies in the United States. Upon its release, Undun received acclaim from music critics, who praised its existential subject matter, production quality, and the band's musicianship. It was included on several critics' year-end lists of best albums.
At the time of recording, The Roots comprised lead rapper Black Thought, drummer and producer Ahmir "Questlove" Thompson, keyboardists Kamal Gray and James Poyser, percussionist F. Knuckles, guitarist Captain Kirk Douglas, sousaphonist Damon Bryson, and bassist Mark Kelley. The band also worked with other rappers for the album, including Big K.R.I.T., Dice Raw, Phonte, and Truck North, as well as vocalists such as Aaron Livingston and Bilal.
Karl Jenkins, better known as Dice Raw, is an American hip hop artist, from Philadelphia. He is associated with The Roots, and one of the founding members of the now defunct musical group Nouveau Riche.
He hooked up with the band while still in high school after Kelo, a member of the group's production team, spotted him in a local talent show. The group quickly took the young rapper under their collective wings and decided to bring his talent along slowly. He made his debut in "The Lesson, Pt. 1." Soon after, he made a name for himself with cameos on "Episodes" and "Adrenaline", where his hard-hitting style complemented the heady rhymes of Roots leader Black Thought. Dice Raw has made several guest appearances on several mixtapes. He made an appearance in fellow band member and beatboxer Scratch's first solo album Embodiment of Instrumentation.
In 2000, Dice Raw released his solo debut album, Reclaiming the Dead on MCA Records.
Jenkins recorded vocals for the entrance theme of WWE wrestler Kung Fu Naki. The track is titled "Kung Fu San", and samples Carl Douglas's "Kung Fu Fighting", and is available on Voices: WWE The Music, Vol. 9.

"Undun" is a song by Canadian rock band The Guess Who. Composed by guitarist Randy Bachman, the song was the 'B' side of their #10 hit single "Laughing"and was peaked at #22 in 1969. It got radio play when some disc jockeys flipped the single and played this instead, which prompted the record company to release it as an A-side 4 months later. Burton Cummings learned to play the flute for this song. In his old band The Deverons he played saxophone. Randy Bachman encouraged him to play the flute for some of their songs, to give them a spacier feel. Right after Randy wrote Undun, The Guess Who played a YAMAHA music store opening where they had a flute in the display case. Burton learned from the dealer that the fingering for the flute was the same as a sax (except for C), and a classic was bo...

First tune off undun, ft Aaron Livingston produced by Hot Sugar Video Directed, Shot & Edited by Clifton Bell for http://www.ghettonerd.com undun is an existential re-telling of the short life of one Redford Stephens (1974-1999). Through the use of emotives and Redford's internal dialogues the album seeks to illustrate the intersection of free will and prescribed destiny as it plays out 'on the corner'. Utilizing a reverse narrative arc, the album begins as the listener finds Redford disoriented--postmortem--and attempting to make sense of his former life. As he moves through its pivotal moments he begins to deconstruct all that has led to his (and our own) coming undun.
baby come back
[verse 1: black thought]
yo, we obviously need to tone it down a bit
running round town spending time like it's counterfeit
everybody catching hay fever like sinuses
step in my arena let me show y'all who the highness is
you might say i could be doing something positive
humbled head down low and broke like promises
soaking and broken in a joke like comics is
not enough paper to be paying folks compliments
but when that paper got low so did my tolerance
and it ain't no truth in a dare without the consequence
listen if it not for these hood inventions
id just be another kid from the block with no intentions
on the dock of that bay serving a life sentence
even if i'm going to hell i'm gonna make an entrance
yeah let em know i'm getting cheese like omelets is
but i'm the toast of the town like thomas is
[hook: bilal]
we're all on a journey
down the hall of memories
don't worry bout what you ain't got
leave with a little bit of dignity
never loved what i had
always felt like i deserved more
but when i
make it to the other side
make it to the other side
that's when we'll settle up the score
[verse 2: black thought]
yo, we did this in remembrance of
faces from the past
we no longer have an image of
carrying cold blood hearts
that never been for love
brothers keep going for theirs but never get enough
world travelers that seen it all
and did enough
only to return to learn
the world wasn't big enough
damn, how long has it been?
i guess the jig is up
now all i know is i'm about to wake this n*gga up
yeah that hindsight 20/20 now n*ggas dead on the money
trying to take something from me
it's a wrap like mummy
undone i am becoming and
when he's tired of running
through the layers of the onion
he'll probably shed a tear
cause they'll be no more fast times
just his weak mind scrolled out like a bad sign
he never had enough and got confused when they asked why
life is only a moment in time and it passed by
[hook: bilal]
we're all on a journey
down the hall of memories
don't worry bout what you ain't got
leave with a little bit of dignity
never loved what i had
always felt like i deserved more
but when i
make it to the other side
make it to the other side
that's when we'll settle up the score
[verse 3: greg porn]
i'm sitting on top of the world ready to jump off
thinking of various ways to break law
thinking that enough is enough but still i want more
thinking of how i'm playing with fire that burned my young boy
by any means necessary don't give a damn
so every night i'm on a flight that never lands
be an asshole when the shit hits the fan
or bet your life on a bluff and a bad hand
can't win, can't lose
get 'em gassed leave em leaking fuel
either way the market moves
cash rules kings, queens, prince and princess
every night i'm crossing a line that ain't the finish
every thought is dark as a glass of f*cking guinness
too far gone to come back to my senses
now i'm on the edge of my bed making love to my meds
every moments like a pistol to my head
when i'm getting mine
[hook: bilal]
we're all on a journey
down the hall of memories
don't worry bout what you ain't got
leave with a little bit of dignity
never loved what i had
always felt like i deserved more
but when i
make it to the other side
make it to the other side
that's when we'll settle up the score
