Équinoxe (English: "equinox") was the second major-label album release by French musician Jean Michel Jarre, released on Disques Dreyfus (with license to Polydor) in late 1978.
The album reflects a day in the life of a human being, from morning to night.[citation needed] Parts 1 to 4 (i.e. side A) and tracks 5 to 8 (side B) segué smoothly from one to the next.
Jarre had developed his sound, employing more dynamic and rhythmic elements, particularly a greater use of sequencing on basslines. Much of this was achieved using custom equipment developed by his collaborator Michel Geiss.
The release was followed by a concert on the Place de la Concorde, Paris on July 14, 1979. The concert attracted 1 million people, becoming Jarre's first entry in the Guinness Book of Records for the largest crowd for an outdoor concert.
Two singles were released from the album, "Équinoxe Part 5" first, and then "Équinoxe Part 4". Part of "Équinoxe Part 8" has been played live with different arrangements, including a version for an acoustic street organ, under the title of "Band in the Rain".

Orhan Terzi (born 28 June 1964), better known by his stage name DJ Quicksilver is a Turkish born German DJ and music producer.
Terzi moved to Germany with his family in the late 1960s. His stage name derives from his days taking part in DJ contests, where a mercury column would gauge audience reaction.
He began working with Tommaso de Donatis on DJ Quicksilver material, and released tracks for a variety of record labels, including Avex Trax, Positiva, Telstar, Edel, Alphabet City, and Sub Terranean.
In 1997 they released "Bellissima" a hit double A-sided single after contributions from Alice Deejays' Marc Lee-Smith. The song became a big hit on the UK dance charts and then crossed over into pop, reaching #4 on the UK Singles Chart and selling enough copies to become a gold record, selling well throughout Europe. It remains his biggest single so far. Other releases include "Boombastic", which sampled the Shaggy track.
He released the track "Heart of Asia" under the alias "Watergate" in 1999
Terzi has also worked as a remixer, on tracks by Ian van Dahl, Faithless, and The Verve ("Bittersweet Symphony").

This time my favorite song from JM Jarre. It took my about 5 hours to get the right sound for the lead melodie. Created a own drumset with the sounds from univox SR-95 , a lot of work but i wanted to use this sounds. For the basslines i used omnisphere and gladiator vst plugins all controled with cantabile performer ( LOVE THIS PROGRAM !!! ) Hope you enjoy this one so please rate or comment Kind regards , Albert -

This is my version of Jarre's Equinoxe 4 track from 1978, and as a funny little nod to the original music video from the 70's, my synths also get invaded by robots from outer space... ;-) All the video clips of my playng was shot during recording to the sequencer, so the sound and video for each part are real playing. The only modification I've done to any of the parts is the arpeggio being played in the lower half of the screen, which has been quantized to create a more "robotic" timing. But as you can see, my hands are playing every note. I hope you'll enjoy it. :o) R. -

Created a own drumset with the sounds from univox SR-95 , a lot of work but i wanted to use this sounds.

This is my version of Jarre's Equinoxe 4 track from 1978, and as a funny little nod to the original music video from the 70's, my synths also get invaded by robots from outer space... ;-)
All the video clips of my playng was shot during recording to the sequencer, so the sound and video for each part are real playing. The only modification I've done to any of the parts is the arpeggio being played in the lower half of the screen, which has been quantized to create a more "robotic" timing. But as you can see, my hands are playing every note.
I hope you'll enjoy it. :o)
