Gundagai in NSW had twin trestle bridges spanning the Murrumbidgee River. One is for road traffic, the other for rail. Both have been out of use since the mid 1970's and are gradually falling into disrepair, and one day will disappear. The road bridge is over 900m long, and was originally built in 1870's.

Blue Mountains, Canberra, Gundagai, Holbrook, Milawa and Beechworth. In the Blue Mountains we visit the Wentworth Falls and I made a heavy (down an upstairs) walk in the Scenic World at Katoomba. In Canberra - capital of Australia - we got a splendid explanation about the government in the Parliament House and we visit the National Museum. In Gundagai we made a stop at the Tuckerbox monument. In Holbrook we amazed ourselves about their marinepatriottisme. In Beechworth a made again a walk and we looked around in the old city.

I went from Sydney north to Townsville, across to Tennent Creek, Down to Ayres Rock and Adelaide, across the Great Ocean Road to Melbourne, up to Gundagai, Cootamundra, Dubbo, and back to Sydey. In total almost 10,000 kms (6,200 miles). A great trip you will see a lot of Australia. Disc three consists of eight parts, and covers from Townsville to Tennent Creek.

The council had to sell irreplaceable assets to pay for it and it looks just like a railway shed. There is a more famous tuckerbox in Gundagai that the dog sat on. This Tuckerbox is sat in. Performed in the Council chambers to jaws locked in dropped position and features in David Bradbury's 1999 doco Battle for Byron II
