Weston, also known as the S. Brady Farm, is a historic home and farm located at Middletown, New Castle County, Delaware. It was built about 1850, and consists of the original two-story brick farmhouse adjoining a later and larger brick three-story addition whose design displays influences of both Greek Revival and Italianate styles. It features large pairs of sawnwork brackets supporting the overhanging boxed cornice. Also on the property are a contributing icehouse, smokehouse, barn, granary, and tenant house.
It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.
Weston GO Station is a GO Transit and Union Pearson Express train station on the Kitchener line in Toronto, Canada. It is located on the south side of Lawrence Avenue West, just east of Weston Road, in the neighbourhood of Weston. Two set of platforms have been built; UP Express trains stop at high-level platforms separate from the low-level GO Transit platforms.
The station is fully accessible with pedestrian entrances from Weston Road and Lawrence Avenue. A pedestrian bridge that crosses Lawrence just east of Weston Road allows access to the station. The parking lot in front of the station is accessed from Weston Road and has a capacity of 144 cars. It includes a kiss and ride passenger drop off area. There is an additional 110-space parking lot north of John Street, which is owned by the City of Toronto but leased by GO Transit.
The first stations at this location were the Weston Stations of the Canadian National Railway (CNR) and Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR). The CNR station was built in 1856 by the Grand Trunk Railway (GTR) which was absorbed by the CNR in 1923. The Toronto, Grey and Bruce Railway (TG&BR) went into service in 1871 on narrow gauge rail, which had been converted to standard gauge track by 1883, and became part of the CPR in 1884.
The 'Graham' mango is a named mango cultivar which originated in Trinidad.
'Graham' was a seedling of the 'Julie' mango planted in Trinidad. In 1932 the variety was introduced to the United States by the USDA through Florida.
'Graham' has become a popular nursery stock tree in Florida for home growing due to its fine flavor and good disease resistance. It was selected as a curator's choice mango for Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden's 2008 mango festival. The fruit is also popular in the Windward Islands.
'Graham' trees are now planted in the USDA's germplasm repository in Miami, Florida., the University of Florida's Tropical Research and Education Center in Homestead, Florida, and the Miami-Dade Fruit and Spice Park, also in Homestead.
The fruit is of oval shape, with a rounded apex that sometimes contains a small lateral beak. The skin is yellow at maturity, and is bumpy and undulating. The flesh is orange, fiberless, and has a rich and aromatic flavor with a resinous note. The fruit contains a monoembryonic seed, and typically matures from June to August in Florida.
Graham (/ˈɡreɪəm/ in UK and US English or /ɡræm/ or /ɡræəm/ in US English) is a masculine given name in the English language. According to some sources, it comes from an Old English word meaning "grey home". According to other sources, it comes from the surname Graham, which in turn is an Anglo-French form of the name of the town of Grantham, in Lincolnshire, England. The settlement is recorded in the 11th century Domesday Book variously as Grantham, Grandham, Granham and Graham. This place name is thought to be derived from the Old English elements grand, possibly meaning "gravel", and ham, meaning "hamlet" the English word given to small settlements of smaller size than villages. In the 12th century the surname was taken from England to Scotland by Sir William de Graham, who founded Clan Graham. Variant spellings of the forename are Grahame and Graeme. The forename Graham is considered to be an English and Scottish given name.
