A paw is the soft foot of a mammal, generally a quadruped, that has claws or nails. A hard foot is called a hoof. Paws are used to pad feet for walking and increase friction.
The paw is characterised by thin, pigmented, keratinised, hairless epidermis covering subcutaneous, collagenous, and adipose tissue, which make up the pads. These pads act as a cushion for the load-bearing limbs of the animal. The paw consists of the large, heart-shaped metacarpal pad (forelimb) or metatarsal pad (rear limb), and generally four load-bearing digital pads, although there can be five or six toes in the case of bears and the Giant Panda. A carpal pad is also found on the forelimb which is used for additional traction when stopping or descending a slope in digitigrade species. Additional dewclaws can also be present.
The paw also includes a horny, beak shaped claw on each digit. Though usually hairless, certain animals do have fur on the soles of their paws. An example is the Red Panda, whose furry soles help insulate them in their snowy habitat.

Plot: Paw arrives home from a night out with the boys and is determined to enter his house without waking Maw. Unable to do it himself, he asks for assistance from Milford the pig who supplies him with tips on how to stealthily enter the house...but they all fail miserably. Finally, Milford suggests, "Have you tried the back door?" It is unlocked and Paw enters quietly...only to discover Maw hasn't arrived home yet! At this point, Maw comes home and Paw goes out the front door to berate Maw for coming home so late. Maw goes in the back door ("so's not to wake Paw") and sees Paw at the front door at which point it's presumed *he* is just coming home and is berated by Maw anyway.

Plot: At the farm, it's Milford's birthday so the family throws a party for him. Unfortunately, just as he is about to blow out the candles, he is kidnapped by a neighboring family, the "Boomer Brothers", who want to have the pig for supper. Maw and Paw make numerous attempts to rescue the pig from their clutches (including Paw dressing as Superman in a vein attempt to fly) but nothing works. Finally, Paw puts dynamite in the oven in Milford's place but has to wrestle the other Boomers for possession of Milford. Eventually, Maw and Paw triumph and Milford is saved to celebrate another birthday.

Plot: This cartoon is based on Universal's Maw and Paw Kettle features. Maw and Paw and their kids live on a farm and can be described as a rural family with below average intelligence (their pet pig, Milford, is regarded in the opening titles as the "Smart One"). At dinner, Milford answers a phone-in quiz contest correctly and wins a new car for the family. The problem is no one in the family knows how to drive it (Maw thinks the antenna is a "new fangled clothesline"). Eventually, Milford goes for a joyride around the farm chasing most of the residents before finally crashing into a tree reducing it to the size of a Model-T. It is now the right size for the family!

Plot: Milford the pig gets the mail and informs Paw that the family has won a new house. The catch is they have to put it together themselves. Of course, with the family's intelligence, this isn't an easy task. Examples: Paw is enrolled in measuring tape when Milford lets go too suddenly and when Maw carries a board, it starts vibrating to the point where it carries her into the air dropping her into the washing machine (Paw thinks he's watching Maw on TV). Finally, the house is finished and the family moves inside. Unfortunately, Paw steps on a loose floorboard causing the house to disassemble into a pile of rubble.

Plot: The patriarch of a family of farming hill billies is fattening a turkey to slaughter for Thanksgiving Day dinner, and he is fattening the fowl by providing him with a veritable feast of roast beef, ham, fruits, vegetables, cakes, and pies. A jealous Daffy Duck, one of the turkey's fellow farm animals, wants to have all the food for himself. So, Daffy pretends to care for the turkey's welfare and warns the turkey off the food, and he urges the turkey to lose weight so that the hill billies won't want to slaughter him. Daffy gorges himself on the food while acting as coach to the turkey, who is frantically and strenuously trying to reduce himself. When Thanksgiving comes, the turkey is toothpick-thin, and the hillbilly father turns his hungry sights on an overweight Daffy!

Of what you feel
You keep it inside
You made it real
Twenty times to get it
Twenty times to give
You kept it inside, long enough
Enough to let it live
I feel no shame
For what I do
Mistakes the same
The hate rings true
Never had no heaven
Had too much of hell
I never cared what I did
It's probably just as well
I've heard it all before
I know nothin's gonna change
I've heard it all before
I know nothin's gonna change
I've heard it again and again
I know nothin's gonna change
Aw, change the way I feel
Change the pain
Of what you feel
You keep it inside
You made it real
Twenty times to get it
Twenty times to give
You kept it inside long enough
Enough to let it grow
I've heard it all before
I know nothin's gonna change
I've heard it all before
I know nothin's gonna change
I've heard it again and again
I know nothin's gonna change
Aw, change the way I feel
You swing up to me acting like everything's jake between us.
It starts off easy enough,
but you don't get more than one chance,
before I don't know you anymore.
It's easy for me.
and I don't miss you that much.
But I can tell by the hurt in your eyes.
It's only gonna take a little push,
to make all the hurt blossom up inside of you.
Yeah, I'm caught in my own trap
I'm caught in my own trap
Caught in my own trap again
I feel no pain
I feel no shame
You'll hurt yourself
When you turn on me
Yeah, I've heard it all before
I know nothin's gonna change
Hey, your mom and dad
Can't teach you like I can
I'm goin' back and forth
Back and forth again
And I'm wrong enough
To say how right I am
And nothin' will take away your pain
And nothin' will take away your shame
And nothin' is ever gonna change
