Signal is an ongoing book series dedicated to documenting and sharing compelling graphics, art projects, and cultural movements of international resistance and liberation struggles. It is edited by Josh MacPhee and Alec Dunn and published by PM...
Poster produced by the Huntley Street Squatters, 1978.
The squatters had installed a cafe, hosted festivals
(one of which saw anarchist-punks Crass play their first live gig) and
opened an office for the London Squatters Union. 150 people lived there
in 52 flats for a period of eighteen months before a military-style
eviction in 1978 involving the first use of new powers under the new
Criminal Law Act.
