Talavera may refer to:
Alfredo Talavera Díaz (Spanish pronunciation: [alˈfɾeðo talaˈβeɾa]; born 18 September 1982 in La Barca) is a Mexican footballer, who plays for Toluca and the Mexico national team as a goalkeeper.
With Oswaldo Sánchez out during the first part of the Clausura 2005 with a shoulder injury, Talavera entered the Chivas team as a starter against teams from the Primera División de México, and also coming through against South American teams in the Copa Libertadores.
On 2 April 2006, Sanchez left temporarily to play with the Mexico national football team for the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany, leading Talavera in goals. Since then he has started six Clausura 2006 games for Chivas. In the first game he started the club posted a 2–0 loss against Monarcas Morelia. This was followed by a loss to Atlas in the Clásico Tapatío. In the final game of the season, Chivas lost to Toluca, 2–0, but after a terrible performance in the first leg of the quarter-finals against Jaguares when he made a big mistake in injury time that caused the winning goal for Jaguares, coach José Manuel de la Torre dropped him as the starter and was replaced by Luis Ernesto Michel and Guadalajara fought back and advanced to the semifinals. The next season, when Oswaldo Sánchez returned, Talavera saw himself as the third goalkeeper of Guadalajara, with Michel as the second keeper, after Oswaldo left Chivas, Michel was the starting keeper and Talavera the backup. After this, he didn't have any action with Chivas again, taking the decision to leave the club in order to have more minutes played.
Carlinhos Brown (born Antonio Carlos Santos de Freitas; November 23, 1962) is a Brazilian musician, songwriter and record producer from Salvador, Bahia. His musical style blends tropicália, reggae, and traditional Brazilian percussion.
He was born in Candeal Pequeno, a small neighbourhood in the Brotas area of Salvador de Bahia (Brazil) to parents Renato and Madalena. In 1967 he was still a child when Caetano Veloso and Gilberto Gil (two 25-year-old musicians from Bahia) started a movement that would radically change Brazilian and popular music: Tropicália.
Osvaldo Alves da Silva (known as the Master of the Bongo) introduced him to the tradition of Brazilian folklore and its percussion: tambourine, drums and reco-reco. He soon learned all the secrets of the percussion instruments and developed a personal style he has never abandoned.
In the early 1980s he started to work in the WR studios in Bahia, where he learned recording and record production techniques, in addition to initiating a task of recompilation and coding of rhythm and percussion sounds from the Bahia area. He then adopted his first nickname: Carlinhos Brown. "It doesn't come from James Brown as people think", he says. "It is inspired in Henry Box Brown, a black person that escaped from slavery in a box. I also tried to learn from the good (and not the mistakes) of H. Rap Brown, of the Black Panther movement".
The Art (sometimes stylised as THEART) are an Australian Alternative Rock band based in Sydney. They began performing under the name The Follow in 2004. Tasmanian band leader Azaria Byrne was known as an unsuccessful contestant on the reality television series Popstars.
Early highlights for the band's career have been supporting successful bands such as the Pixies, Marilyn Manson, Nine Inch Nails, Sonic Youth and Thirty Seconds to Mars as late as 2010, however this was marred by the crowd booing and calls to "get off the stage".
As band leader Azaria Byrne enters middle age success has so far eluded him despite media attention resulting from his being cuckolded by the even older fading celebrity Bill Corgan.
The other band members have all been described as "dull" but this could also be a result of the attention seeking behavior of their singer.

Plot: We first meet Christopher Columbus as an exuberant boy of Genoa, Italy, who wants only one thing - an adventurous life at sea. As he grows into young manhood, he becomes an expert sailor. When King John offers a handsome reward for the captain who can find the fastest route to the treasures of India, Columbus realizes he has found his calling. Columbus is convinced that the most direct route to the Far East is by sailing due west around the globe. But King John only laughs at Columbus. "No one has ever sailed to the west on the great ocean. It cannot be done." Columbus' determination keeps his dream alive. Many years later, in search of support for his voyage of discovery, Columbus is in the court of Queen Isabella of Spain. He tells her, "I have met many men who say it is impossible to sail west. They all have one thing in common - none of them has sailed west." The Queen is intrigued by Columbus' determination, but Spain is at war. She can spare neither ships nor money for such an expedition. She asks her learned men, led by the comic figure of Talavera, to research Columbus' plan. Talavera rejects the idea of sailing west. "It is a child's dream," he declares. But the Queen believes in Columbus. When the war ends, she gives him a commission - three ships, a crew of ninety and money to make his journey. On the voyage Columbus has two strong allies - the great captain Pinson, and the young boy Rodrigo. The trip begins well, but as the days stretch into weeks, the men turn mutinous. Rations run short, and the men are convinced they will perish. Pinson is able to get the crew to agree to only three more days of sailing. Then they will turn back. At the end of the three days, Christopher Columbus kneels in prayer. "Dear God," he says, "There is nothing more I can do. Please help us." Suddenly, from high up in the crows' nest, Rodrigo shouts out, "Land ho!" Columbus has discovered a new world. Back in Spain, Queen Isabella honors Columbus. "I name you Admiral of the Ocean Seas. Your name will live forever. Because of you the world will never be the same."

I always strive to write music that is enjoyable and satisfying to play, and my compositions are best described as "classical crossover". During the composition process, I write out every note. Once a piece is complete, I practice and learn it just as I would a work by Beethoven or Bach. Each of my videos is the culmination of many, many hours of...

Well we were born within one hour of each other
Our mothers said we could be sister and brother
Your name is Deborah. Deborah. It never suited ya
And they said that when we grew up, we'd get married and never split up
We never did it although often I thought of it
Oh Deborah, do you recall
Your house was very small with wood chip on the wall
When I came around to call you didn't notice me at all
I said let's all meet up in the year 2000
Won't it be strange when we're all fully grown
Be there at 2 o'clock by the fountain down the road
I never knew that you'd get married
I would be living down here on my own
On that damp and lonely Thursday years ago
You were the first girl at school to get breasts
Martyn said that yours were the best
The boys all loved you but I was a mess
I had to watch them trying to get you undressed
We were friends but that was as far as it went
I used to walk you home sometimes but it meant
Nothing to you, cause you were so popular
Ah Deborah, do you recall
Your house was very small with woodchip on the wall
When I came around to call you didn't notice me at all
I said let's all meet up in the year 2000
Won't it be strange when we're all fully grown
Be there at 2 o'clock by the fountain down the road
I never knew that you'd get married
I would be living down here on my own
On that damp and lonely Thursday years ago
Oh yeah, oh yeah
Oh what are you doing Sunday baby
Would you like to come and meet me maybe you can even bring your baby
Ohhh ooh ooh. Ooh ooh ooh ooh
What are you doing Sunday baby
Would you like to come and meet me maybe you can even bring your baby
