1713 Bancilhon, provisional designation 1951 SC, is an asteroid from the inner regions of the asteroid belt. It was discovered on 27 September 1951 by French astronomer Louis Boyer at Algiers Observatory in Algeria, North Africa.
The asteroid orbits the Sun at a distance of 1.8–2.6 AU once every 3 years and 4 months (1,214 days). Its orbit shows an eccentricity of 0.19 and is tilted by 4 degrees to the plane of the ecliptic. Little is known about the asteroids size, composition, albedo and rotation, despite having a well-observed orbit with the lowest possible uncertainty (i.e. a condition code of 0) and an observation arc that spans over a period of nearly 90 years.
The asteroid was named after French female astronomer Odette Bancilhon, Boyer's colleague and wife of astronomer Alfred Schmitt. Odette Bancilhon herself discovered the minor planet 1333 Cevenola at Algiers Observatory in 1934.
Heavy Rain is an interactive drama action-adventure video game developed by Quantic Dream and published by Sony Computer Entertainment exclusively for the PlayStation 3 in February 2010.
The game is a film noir thriller, featuring four diverse protagonists involved with the mystery of the Origami Killer, a serial killer who uses extended periods of rainfall to drown his victims. The player interacts with the game by performing actions highlighted on screen related to motions on the controller, and in some cases, performing a series of quick time events during fast-paced action sequences. The player's decisions and actions during the game will affect the narrative. The main characters can be killed, and certain actions may lead to different scenes and endings.
Heavy Rain was a critical and commercial success, winning multiple Game of the Year awards and selling over three million copies. A film adaptation of the game is currently in development. A PlayStation 4 version was announced in June 2015 and is set to be released on March 1, 2016.
Quantic Dream is a French video game developer based in Paris, France, founded in 1997. The company also supplies motion capture services to the film and video game industries. They are well known for their interactive drama story based games such as Heavy Rain, Indigo Prophecy and Beyond: Two Souls.
Quantic Dream launched their first title Omikron: The Nomad Soul, in 1999 for PC and Dreamcast, which featured original music and acts by musician David Bowie. In 2002, they began development of Fahrenheit (known as Indigo Prophecy in North America), the first game to use their interactive cinema technology which allows gamers to play through multiple worldlines based on the decisions made rather than a one-dimensional story.
Fahrenheit was generally well received, receiving multiple awards and nominations prior to its release, with high ratings from all major gaming publications. In 2005, Quantic Dream's next announced titles were Heavy Rain and Omikron 2. Released in February 2010, Heavy Rain was well received and has sold over two million copies worldwide.

Beyond: Two Souls is an interactive drama action-adventure video game for the PlayStation 3 home video game console, created by French game developer Quantic Dream and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. It was released in October of 2013. The game features Jodie Holmes, one of two player characters. The other is an incorporeal entity named Aiden: a separate soul linked to Jodie since birth. Jodie, who is portrayed by actress Ellen Page, possesses supernatural powers through her psychic link to Aiden, growing from adolescence to adulthood while learning to control Aiden and the powers they share. Willem Dafoe co-stars as Nathan Dawkins, a researcher in the Department of Paranormal Activity and Jodie's surrogate-father-figure. The actors in the game worked during the year-long project in Quantic Dream's Paris studio to perform on-set voice acting and motion capture acting.
Despite being a video game, Beyond: Two Souls premiered at the 2013 Tribeca Film Festival, marking only the second time the film festival recognised a video game. David Cage, writer and director of the game, explained that game development studios should provide "interactive storytelling" that can be played by everyone, including non-gamers. The game received polarized critical reception upon its release. Sales reached over one million copies worldwide by the end of 2013. A PlayStation 4 version was released in November 2015.
