Fat Wreck Chords to release acoustic comp, 'Mild in the Streets'

Fat Wreck Chords are going to release a new compilation. It's called Mild in the Streets, and will be an all acoustic comp. Five of the tracks are unreleased. As a bonus, it will have a symphonic rendering of NoFX's The Decline by Baz and His Orchestra. It's out July 1. See the track list below.

Original Alice Cooper group to reunite for new tracks

The surviving members of the Alice Cooper group have reunited to record new material. The Coop himself will play along with guitarist Michael Bruce, bassist Dennis Dunaway, and drummer Neal Smith. Earlier this year, Cooper, Smith, and Bruce spent two weeks in Cooper's home state of Arizona writing new music. Meanwhile, Dunaway also wrote new songs in Connecticut. Cooper stated that while they original group might perform together live, all four would be more likely to perform a segment of a show, rather than a full Alice Cooper group show. Also, it was unclear if the group plans to record an entire Alice Cooper group album, or just contribute tracks to an Alice Cooper "solo" album. Further, cooper stated that he is working on a second Hollywood Vampires album. we'll keep you updated on this one, for sure.

Taco Hell: “High 2.2” (Punknews Exclusive)

Today, Punknews is pleased to debut the debut song by Taco Hell!

This tune is hot off the presses- They just finished recording it twelve hours ago! On "High 2.2", the band revels in the same sort of messy, power-pop and college rock introspection as Jeff Rosenstock and Swearin'. Here is a group of scrappy youths pondering the meaning of life… and also weed, I think.

Candy Hearts are going a a summer tour and it will be all acoustic. Chase Huglin will be opening. As you may recall, this tour was booked mostly by fans after the band did an open call for non-traditional venues to play. See the dates below.

The Menzingers finish recording new LP

The Menzingers have stated that they are finished recording their new album. The LP will be called After the Party and was produced by Philly's Will Yip at Studio 4. No release date has been announced yet. The group released Rented World in 2014.

Melted on gambling, Dr. Pepper, and playing shows in crack houses

Corona, California's Melted is a ripping, garage punk band that likes to drink Dr. Pepper. They worship thee power of thee mighty riff, but also slip surprisingly earnest revelations in their lyrics- "25 Years" is about kinda, maybe, crashing your car on purpose…
