Tujuan China Rebut Natuna Dari Indonesia - Kabupaten Natuna, Provinsi Kepulauan Riau yang terletak di tengah Laut China Selatan menjadi sumber konflik kedaulatan Republik Indonesia. Isu tersebut muncul setelah awal pekan ini Presiden Joko Widodo mengkritik peta Republik Rakyat China yang memasukkan daerah kaya gas alam itu dalam wilayahnya.
"Setelah konfrontasi Malaysia-Indonesia, disusul sentimen anti-Tionghoa di kawasan itu, jumlah warga keturunan China di Natuna turun dari kisaran 5000 sampai 6000 menjadi tinggal 1000 orang, tulisnya.
Muncul selentingan, warga Tionghoa yang masih bertahan menghubungi Presiden China Deng Xiaoping pada dekade 80-an. "Ada permintaan kepada Deng, agar China mendukung kemerdekaan wilayah Natuna yang dihuni mayoritas Tionghoa, atau paling tidak memasukkan kepulauan itu di wilayah administrasi China, kata Victor.
Negosiasi ini tidak bisa dibuktikan sampai sekarang. Yang jelas, China secara sepihak pada 2009 menggambar sembilan titik ditarik dari Pulau Spratly di tengah Laut China Selatan, lalu diklaim sebagai wilayah Zona Ekonomi Eksklusifnya.
Pemerintah Indonesia di era Presiden Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono sudah memprotes lewat Komisi Landas Kontinen PBB.
Garis putus-putus yang diklaim pembaruan atas peta tahun 1947 itu membuat Indonesia berang. Padahal Indonesia sebenarnya berencana menjadi penengah negara-negara yang berkonflik akibat Laut China Selatan.
Tapi, sejak jauh-jauh hari TNI sudah menyadari potensi konflik melibatkan Natuna. Lebih dari 20 ribu personil TNI dikerahkan menjaga perairan dengan cadangan gas terbesar di Asia mulai tahun 1996.
Setelah berkuasa, Presiden Jokowi hendak menegaskan sikap terhadap Natuna, lebih keras dari sikap SBY.
"Sembilan titik garis yang selama ini diklaim Tiongkok dan menandakan perbatasan maritimnya tidak memiliki dasar hukum internasional apapun," ujarnya saat diwawancarai Koran Yomiuri Shimbun.

China, officially the People's Republic of China (PRC), is a sovereign state in East Asia. It is the world's most populous country, with a population of over 1.35 billion. Covering approximately 9.6 million square kilometers, China is the world's second-largest country by land area, and either the third or fourth-largest by total area, depending on the method of measurement. China's landscape is vast and diverse, ranging from forest steppes and the Gobi and Taklamakan deserts in the arid north to subtropical forests in the wetter south. The Himalaya, Karakoram, Pamir and Tian Shan mountain ranges separate China from South and Central Asia. The Yangtze and Yellow Rivers, the third- and sixth-longest in the world, run from the Tibetan Plateau to the densely populated eastern seaboard. China's coastline along the Pacific Ocean is 14,500 kilometres (9,000 mi) long, and is bounded by the Bohai, Yellow, East and South China Seas.

Negosiasi ini tidak bisa dibuktikan sampai sekarang. Yang jelas, China secara sepihak pada 2009 menggambar sembilan titik ditarik dari Pulau Spratly di tengah Laut China Selatan, lalu diklaim sebagai wilayah Zona Ekonomi Eksklusifnya.
Pemerintah Indonesia di era Presiden Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono sudah memprotes lewat Komisi Landas Kontinen PBB.
Garis putus-putus yang diklaim pembaruan atas peta tahun 1947 itu membuat Indonesia berang. Padahal Indonesia sebenarnya berencana menjadi penengah negara-negara yang berkonflik akibat Laut China Selatan.
Tapi, sejak jauh-jauh hari TNI sudah menyadari potensi konflik melibatkan Natuna. Lebih dari 20 ribu personil TNI dikerahkan menjaga perairan dengan cadangan gas terbesar di Asia mulai tahun 1996.
Setelah berkuasa, Presiden Jokowi hendak menegaskan sikap terhadap Natuna, lebih keras dari sikap SBY.
"Sembilan titik garis yang selama ini diklaim Tiongkok dan menandakan perbatasan maritimnya tidak memiliki dasar hukum internasional apapun," ujarnya saat diwawancarai Koran Yomiuri Shimbun.

Isu tersebut muncul setelah awal pekan ini Presiden Joko Widodo mengkritik peta Republik Rakyat China yang memasukkan daerah kaya gas alam itu dalam wilayahnya.
"Setelah konfrontasi Malaysia-Indonesia, disusul sentimen anti-Tionghoa di kawasan itu, jumlah warga keturunan China di Natuna turun dari kisaran 5000 sampai 6000 menjadi tinggal 1000 orang, tulisnya.

A stone’s throw away from the old Summer Palace is the Garden of Harmonious Unity that was the favourite garden of the Emperor’s household who retreated to its cool lakeside shores during the humid months of summer. Close to Badaling the Great Wall Of China extends majestically across misty mountains. It is the largest Man-made structure in the world and was erected to protect the country from invasion from the North. The gigantic wall represented the division of two very different cultures. On one side the Central Asian Nomads and on the other the highly developed civilisation of the emerging Chinese Empire. Shanghai is a Gigantic City and a meeting point of both east and west. The shoreline is without a doubt the city’s main focal point and is a combination of past, present and future and contains the historic monuments and eye catching buildings of a great city. So tonight is our very last night in Yangshuo, a charming little town in Southwestern China, so we're going to show you around the main strip.
So our first stop is going to be the street food market. I haven't eaten in maybe two hours, so it's time to get a snack.
If I had to choose between Guilin and Yangshuo the two most popular cities in this region it's definitely Yangshuo. It's a more historic town. It's a lot more pedestrian friendly and there are great
As we were wandering around the night market tonight we had lots of people come up to us and ask to take photos beside us. At least probably four or five times and we finally filmed the last one. It was really cool. We were like celebrities in China. Yeah, almost famous.
So, this market had some pretty cool souvenirs. We saw fake Chinese passports if you want to take one of those home. They also had combs carved out of ox bone. They had these stamps where you can get your Chinese name carved on them and then you can just sign documents that way which is pretty cool.
Today we are visiting a local hill tribe that just lives a few hours outside of Guilin and we've come here because this community is known for the women's long hair. They grow it out and it's almost a meter and a half long and we're actually going to be watching a performance where they spin their hair and wrap it up and show us how they wear it.
Today we're in between Guilin and Yangshuo and we're doing a special river cruise down the Li River.
So this tour is going to be an hour and a half long and we're going to get to enjoy some pretty stunning landscapes, so I'm pretty excited about it.
When I came here two years ago it was hazy and foggy. Now it's a gorgeous glorious day.
Here we are at the Longji Rice Fields which are located just outside of Guilin. We've had such good luck. Check out the weather and the views behind.
So this is the Guilin main square. It gets really busy here at night. Lots of shops, restaurants, eateries. You can do it all here.
Chinese singing.
So we are now at the lake and the main attraction are the these two pagodas that light up at night.
Background music playing.
Oh, that mapo tofu looks so good. Really generous sized portion.
Well, it's hard to believe but our time in Hong Kong has already expired. Today we're taking a train ride. Where are we going? We're crossing over into China.
We are in Guangzho. Apparently there are two train stations. We arrived at the one that is on the East End of the City and we had to get across town to the other and it was difficult but we need to keep going.
So right now we are in Guangzho station waiting for our train to Guilin. And we happen to be waiting in the VIP room.
There is no tea in this tea room.
We're going to Guilin.
Uh, we're looking for number ten.
So we're in the dining cart now getting ready to have dinner. Let's see what is on the menu if we can even read it. We barely got a seat here.
Decision time. So we did manage to find an English menu which makes things a lot easier.
Fish one. Tofu with pork. One. Okay. Rice. One Rice? Okay. Beer. One. Okay. Ah, green tea - one. okay.
So this is the friend fish with a sweet and sour sauce.
Good morning. We are almost in Guilin. Our train has been delayed about an hour and a half.

Some of the best progamers in the world have this one other progamer which they can't seem to beat, not when it matters anyway. Despite worrying signs of intensifying rivalry between Washington and Beijing, few observers have provided concrete paradigms to lead this troubled relationship away from disaster. Meeting China Halfway: How to Defuse the Emerging US-China Rivalry is dramatically different from any other book about US-China relations. Lyle J. Goldstein's explicit focus in almost every chapter is on laying bare both US and Chinese perceptions of where their interests clash and proposing new paths to ease bilateral tensions through compromise. Each chapter contains a "cooperation spiral"—the opposite of an escalation spiral—to illustrate the policy proposals. Goldstein not only parses findings from the latest American scholarship but also breaks new ground by analyzing hundreds of Chinese-language sources, including military publications, never before evaluated by Western experts. Goldstein makes one hundred policy proposals over the course of this book, not because these are the only solutions to arresting the alarming course toward conflict, but rather to inaugurate a genuine debate regarding cooperative policy solutions to the most vexing problems in US-China relations.

Lyle J. Goldstein is an associate professor in the Strategic Research Department at the US Naval War College (NWC). He was also the founding director of the NWC's China Maritime Studies Institute. 2. First of all Oedipus is from a high noble character. He is taken even higher up on pedestal when he's able to answer the Spinx's riddle and then become king. He's an excellent ruler but he may have the tragic flaw of being too quick to judge (as in thinking Creon and Tiresias were after his power and were plotting against him. He also has the flaw of doing things without thinking (i.e., killing the people at the crossroads just because they got in his way) or accusing Tiresias of lying. And of course in the end it is discovered that he was fated for destruction and this destruction spreads out even to his entire family including his wife/mother Iocaste.
What makes the play so fascinating is the fact that Oedipus has no control over what will inevitably happen to him. I think it's the ironic tension that is build up during the play that makes it such a good "read" as literature. As far as the theme goes, those in power are still struggling with issues such as pride and irrational thought and action. This is something that continues to repeat itself throughout time again and again.
3. In Scene III Iocaste speaks of incest and saying that fate has control over everyone and that why should one worry about something that one cannot control. It is very ironic here that we all know that the things she says that Oedipus should not fear, is in fact the exact thing he should fear. This irony is present because of the knowledge of the audience about what has already happened between Oedipus and his mother/bride. It is also quite ironic that she's telling him to do whatever he wants without thinking of the consequences because it seems that everyone in the play is not following this (including herself) because otherwise why would everyone be checking with soothsayers and oracles for true answers if nothing really mattered except happiness?
It's also quite ironic in the beginning of the play when Oedipus vows to seek out and kill the murderer of Laios. This irony again is present only from the background knowledge that the audience possesses of Oedipus's story.
4. References to eyesight and vision, both literal and metaphorical, are very frequent in all three of the Theban plays. Quite often, the image of clear vision is used as a metaphor for knowledge and insight. In fact, this metaphor is so much a part of the Greek way of thinking that it is almost not a metaphor at all, just as in modern English: to say "I see the truth" or "I see the way things are" is a perfectly ordinary use of language. However, the references to eyesight and insight in these plays form a meaningful pattern in combination with the references to literal and metaphorical blindness. Oedipus is famed for his clear-sightedness and quick comprehension, but he discovers that he has been blind to the truth for many years, and then he blinds himself so as not to have to look on his own children/siblings. Tiresias is blind, yet he sees farther than others. Overall, the plays seem to say that human beings can demonstrate remarkable powers of intellectual penetration and insight, and that they have a great capacity for knowledge, but that even the smartest human being is liable to error, that the human capability for knowledge is ultimately quite limited and unreliable.

" First and foremost, I would like to extend my heartiest congratulations to Organizing Committees of The 8th National Dragon & Lion Dance Championships 2014 and our Dragon & Lion Dances Federation of Malaysia Committee Members for the term 2014-2017.
The Dragon and Lion Dance Federation of Malaysia had a very humble beginning and since our formation, we have developed a close cooperation with the various Lion & Dragon Dance Associations to improve the standard of Lion & Dragon dances in the country. Our Federation has taken a long journey towards being recognized as the official sports body under the Sports Commissioner's Office in charge of regulating dragon and lion dances activity in our country. Being the regulating body of dragon and lion dances, we are drafting a master plan into making dragon and lion dances as a sporting activity instead of a cultural activity.
Currently, our Federation has embarked on a mission to introduce Lion & Dragon Dances to our national primary and secondary schools nationwide by training qualified coaches and judges.
As the role of our Federation is to promote and develop Lion & Dragon Dances as a sporting activity, we will continue to engage with the Education Ministry and Youth & Sports Ministry to achieve our goal of promoting Dragon & Lion Dance as an alternative sports for youth and school children. We also look forward to the continuous close rapport between our Federation and the various Lion & Dragon Dances Association to maintain out status as the world champion in dragon and lion dance. We have always seen great success where our Lion & Dragon Dance troupes are highly recognized internationally. I am proud to announce that we have won 2 Gold, 1 Silver and 4 Bronze medals in the recently concluded 3rd Asian Dragon & Lion Dance Championship in Bali, Indonesia. We also emerged as the World Champion for the International Lion Dance on Stilts Championship held in Macau last month. As such we really hope that the various government bodies could assist our national teams financially to further bring glory to our country. As a matter of fact, our national teams never failed in glorifying our country in international competitions.

The former chief rabbi of Israel was one of the many Holocaust survivors who gathered in Borough Park today to commemorate the Holocaust, pay tribute to its survivors and honor several World War II heroes who saved thousands of Jews from certain death under the Nazi regime.
Rabbi Yisroel Meir Lau, who flew in from Israel this morning, was the keynote speaker at the two hour event at Temple Beth El titled "Remembering the Past and Living for the Future" co-hosted by Assemblyman Dov Hikind and Nachas Health and Family Network of Brooklyn, an Organization that serves hundreds of Holocaust survivors annually.
Among the other speakers who addressed the audience were Rabbi Moshe Snow of Temple Beth-El, Hikind, who also emceed the event, Shanghai ghetto survivors Benny Fishoff and Moishe Hellman and Greg Schneider, executive vice president of the Claims Conference.
In addition to honoring Holocaust survivors and their descendants, the tribute paid homage to the memory of Chiune Sugihara, a Japanese diplomat who saved thousands of Jews during the war, Jan Zwartendijk, a Dutch councilman in Lithuania who together with Sugihara issued transit visas allowing Jews to escape to Shanghai and Oscar Schindler, who saved the lives of over 1,000 Jews by employing them in his factory.
Awards were presented to Ambassador Sumio Kusaka, the Consulate General of Japan, and Rob de Vos, Council General of the Netherlands, who accepted their awards on behalf of Sugihara and Zwartendijk, respectively.
Rabbi Lau, who was smuggled into Buchenwald as a young child, avoiding certain death, spoke at length about his own experiences during the war and related a story about meeting former New York City mayor Ed Koch who remarked that he considered himself to be a survivor.
Rabbi Lau noted that he was puzzled by the Bronx born Koch's use of the term survivor, but the former mayor explained that he once had the opportunity to attend a meeting in Hitler's office during a visit to Germany.
A large map on the wall had a number assigned to each country and Koch was told that Hitler wrote down the number of Jews in each country, hoping to be able to annihilate them all. The audience was filled with survivors, their children and their grandchildren. Several local high schools, including Shulamith School for Girls, Bais Yaakov of 18th Avenue, Machon Bais Yaakov and Yeshiva of Flatbush, sent students to the event where speaker after speaker echoed the twin themes of "always remember" and "never forget."
"People told me there was no reason to invite schools to come because they have classes on the Holocaust, but I explained that this was live history," said Mrs. Rizy Horowitz, senior coordinator for Nachas' Holocaust program told VIN News. "Here they will see people who went through the war and will have an appreciation for what the survivors went through."
Many of the survivors in attendance came from varying religious backgrounds, a fact that was particularly notable to Mrs. Horowitz.
"I promise you that when Hitler put people in the gas chamber, he didn't ask you if you were a Litvak, a Chosid or Modern Orthodox. He had one word. You were a Jew. Nothing else mattered."
According to Esther Mittleman, a home care coordinator at the Jewish Community Center of Greater Coney Island which runs Nachas Health's home care program for Holocaust survivors, the survivors treated today's tribute with the dignity of a holiday.
"They came with their aides, they came with their walkers and they came with their wheelchairs," said Mrs. Mittelman. "They came all dressed up and they were proud to be there. At times they cheered the speakers on. Other times were more emotional and they cried. We cried, too."
The most poignant moment of the day came when Chazan Ushi Blumenberg made the Kel Maley Rachamim.
"It was the most powerful rendition I have ever heard," said Hikind. "I thought the ceiling was going to cave in."
Hikind hopes that those who attended today's tribute will take the lessons that they absorbed with them and will never forget the lessons of the Holocaust.
"It is so important to recognize those who had the courage to go against their own government and to issue these permits that saved lives," said Hikind. "The best part about today was seeing the young people listening to Rabbi Lau, hearing what he had to say and really feeling it. He spoke for maybe 45 minutes and nobody moved. You could have heard a pin drop. Today was a powerful day and it is all about remembering."

The former chief rabbi of Israel was one of the many Holocaust survivors who gathered in Borough Park today to commemorate the Holocaust, pay tribute to its survivors and honor several World War II heroes who saved thousands of Jews from certain death under the Nazi regime.
Rabbi Yisroel Meir Lau, who flew in from Israel this morning, was the keynote speaker at the two hour event at Temple Beth El titled "Remembering the Past and Living for the Future" co-hosted by Assemblyman Dov Hikind and Nachas Health and Family Network of Brooklyn, an Organization that serves hundreds of Holocaust survivors annually.
Among the other speakers who addressed the audience were Rabbi Moshe Snow of Temple Beth-El, Hikind, who also emceed the event, Shanghai ghetto survivors Benny Fishoff and Moishe Hellman and Greg Schneider, executive vice president of the Claims Conference.
In addition to honoring Holocaust survivors and their descendants, the tribute paid homage to the memory of Chiune Sugihara, a Japanese diplomat who saved thousands of Jews during the war, Jan Zwartendijk, a Dutch councilman in Lithuania who together with Sugihara issued transit visas allowing Jews to escape to Shanghai and Oscar Schindler, who saved the lives of over 1,000 Jews by employing them in his factory.
Awards were presented to Ambassador Sumio Kusaka, the Consulate General of Japan, and Rob de Vos, Council General of the Netherlands, who accepted their awards on behalf of Sugihara and Zwartendijk, respectively.
Rabbi Lau, who was smuggled into Buchenwald as a young child, avoiding certain death, spoke at length about his own experiences during the war and related a story about meeting former New York City mayor Ed Koch who remarked that he considered himself to be a survivor.
Rabbi Lau noted that he was puzzled by the Bronx born Koch's use of the term survivor, but the former mayor explained that he once had the opportunity to attend a meeting in Hitler's office during a visit to Germany.
A large map on the wall had a number assigned to each country and Koch was told that Hitler wrote down the number of Jews in each country, hoping to be able to annihilate them all.
