Poulnabrone Dolmen, County Claire, Ireland
This tomb was in use during the Neolithic and radiocarbon dates place its use between 3,800 - 3,600 BC. The first excavation of Poulnabrone Dolmen was in 1986 and then again in 1988 by Ann Lynch. During this excavation, one portal stone was replaced, and the team excavated the chamber, portico, and cairn. The remains of up to 22 individuals from the Neolithic were found. Sixteen adults, six children, and one newborn (from the Bronze Age) were among the remains. Their bodies were not cremated. Only one adult was over the age of 40 while most died before they reached 30. Most of the children were between the ages of five and fifteen. The skeletal remains show evidence of arthritis. The tip of a flint or chert projectile point was found embedded in the hip of one individual. Two other healed fractures, one skull and one rib, were also found. Dental wear analysis shows evidence for the consumption of stone-grounded cereals. Also found in the burial chamber was a polished stone axe, 2 stone beads, a decorated bone pendant, a fragment of a mushroom-headed bone pin, 2 quartz crystals, several shards of coarse pottery, and a number of arrowheads and scrapers. Grykes are crevices in the limestone that were then filled with remains. Chamber and grykes also were filled with the bones of various large and small animals.

Dublin is the capital of the Irish Republic and is a city of musicians, poets and dreamers. Its Georgian buildings, whisky distilleries and historic castles are tangible and colorful reminders of bygone times. Numerous well preserved buildings, cafes, churches and idyllic canals also add to the captivating atmosphere of this fun loving city.
One of the city's main landmarks is a splendid structure, Halfpenny Bridge, which derived its name due to a toll that was once extracted from those who crossed it.
Dublin Castle is one of the city's oldest buildings. It has seen much transformation and

Ireland Travel Video Guide
Travel video about destination Ireland.
Ireland is one of Europe’s most green and mysterious islands and everyone who visits this isolated island in the Atlantic Ocean is given a very warm welcome. Dublin is the capital of the Irish Republic and it is a city of musicians, poets and dreamers, as well as being a financial centre. Its many old buildings indicate its long and dramatic past. It was founded by the Vikings within a wonderful valley where the River Liffey flows into the Atlantic Ocean. After the Vikings, the Normans conquered the city and ruled over it for seven hundred years and under King Henry The Eighth Dublin became the capital of what was then a British colony. South west of Dublin is Kildare, the heart of Ireland’s horse racing. In 1902 the Irish national stud, Tully House, was founded there. Rich and eccentric Scottish brewery heir, Colonel William Hall-Walker, had the idea of a creating unique horse breeding scheme that would be based upon astrological calculation. The Wicklow Mountains are a natural paradise of mountains, swamps and lakes, beautiful valleys and a fascinating mountain landscape to the south of Dublin. Jerpoint Abbey near Thomastown dates back to the twelfth century and is one of the most beautiful Cistercian ruins in Ireland. It was founded in around 1160 by Donal Mac Gillapatrick, the King Of Ossory. The Cistercians built the monastery in characteristic style and one of the stone sarcophaguses is said to contain the bones of Holy Nicolas who was buried there by the Crusaders. Although much of it has remained unspoiled, Ireland has undergone much change. It is a land of great natural beauty, healthy commercial success and excellent hospitality: a wild green island set in the wild Atlantic Ocean!

Ireland Travel Video Guide, Meet a Local Travel Series
Meet the locals as the Overlander travels around Ireland - Complete Program
See the beauty and hospitality of Ireland, through the eyes of it's people.
Stories include:
In Dublin I interviewed Niamh Ni Mhir who works for Hostel World,a local IT business that rode the Celtic Tiger to become the biggest Hostel booking website online Niamh explains how Ireland has changed since my last visit, in the early 1990 s and also tells us what it is she likes about living in Dublin.
I interview Kathleen Moran about the Kilkenny Craft Centre and how Kilkenny established itself as Ireland's craft capital.
In Belfast I interviewed Sean McKernan, a photographer who in 1983 set up a photo exhibition called Belfast Exposed, featuring a lot of images from the height of the troubles.
On the Aran Islands I interviewed Teresa Millane, an old style (Sean Nos) singer.
In Galway I interviewed actor Diarmuid de Faoite about the flourishing arts scene.
The small fishing Village of Dingle on the West Coast of Ireland is home to a friendly Dolphin called Fungi, who seems to prefer the company of humans to his own kind.
In Doolin I interviewed Banjo player, Kevin Griffin about why Doolin has become the traditional music capital of Ireland.
Sean now runs an multifunction arts centre called BX Arts.
Sean discusses how Belfast has changed since the 1997 ceasefire.
In Cork I try and trace my Irish ancestors (O'Shea), and look at the modern day immigration of Polish workers to Ireland.
For my final Irish story, I visit Cahersiveen where there are some Stone Forts that may well been the home of my Shea ancestors.
IF YOU LIKE THE PROGRAM PLEASE RATE IT AND LEAVE ME A COMMENT, LOVED TO HEAR FROM YOU - MARK

Dublin - City Video Guide
This video for Dublin is one of our older productions, but we wanted to share it with you to get some feedback on how these older clips compare to the more recent travel guides we’ve shot. The city of Dublin, Ireland, is over a thousand years old and straddles the River Liffey.
The word “Dublin” is a derivative of “Duiblinn,” which means black pool, or dark tide pool. Dublin’s black pool has since ceased to exist, but its former location is marked behind Dublin Castle. Speaking of the castle, your Dublin sightseeing should include a stop at the castle walls—it’s been in continuous use since its construction in the 13th century, and it’s a striking piece of architecture. Looking for something a little more modern? Have a look around Dame Street; there’s no shortage of shops to check out, or pubs that will welcome you to sample their fare.
Ready to jump back into Dublin’s history? Head to Jervis Street, where you can get to know one of Ireland’s most famous characters at the National Leprechaun Museum, Learn about the mythology of and tour exhibits related to that mythological figurehead of Irish lore, and maybe search for a pot of gold. Kilmainham Gaol is another popular tourist destination; this is where you’ll find a record of Ireland’s political history, as well as see the living conditions inside a notoriously rough prison.
In the evening, head for the Temple Bar, a district that serves as the hub of the city’s nightlife. It is where you’ll go to eat dinner, grab drinks, go dancing, or to watch the fascinating people of Dublin go by.

Welcome to Cork City, Ireland.
Cork City has a long and varied past. The Irish variant of the name, “Corcaigh,” is derived from the word for “marsh,” though it hasn’t been a marshy area for quite some time. The city is built atop the River Lee, rich splits into two channels around the central area. Cork City has been important avenue for Irish trade since the early 900s, when Vikings used the port as a base of operations. A deep sense of history pervades the area; today, when you stroll down the streets of Cork City, you’re very likely treading over ancient waterways.
When you tour Cork City, consider stopping at the Cork City Gaol. Originally opened in 1824, this gaol was described as “the finest in three kingdoms,” and it has housed both petty criminals and terrifying murderers. After closing in 1923, the gaol found use as a radio station and opened as a museum in 1994.
Squeeze in some additional history in your Cork City sightseeing with a stop at Blackrock Castle Observatory. This 16th-century castle sits on the banks of the River Lee, and within its ancient stone walls are a science center, a restaurant, and an informational section about the city.
Where will you go in Cork City?

Dublin Travel Video Guide
Travel video about destination Dublin in Ireland.
It has seen much transformation and is a combination of several building styles. After the Vikings, the Normans conquered the city and ruled over it for 700 years and under King Henry VIII, Dublin became the capital of what was then a British colony.
Trinity College is Ireland's oldest and most venerable university. It was founded in 1592 by Queen Elizabeth I. The high standard of education offered here has attracted famous pupils such as Jonathan Swift, Henry Grattan and Samuel Becket.
Dublin's General Post Office was once the site of an important historical event. Under the leadership of Padraig Pearse and James Connolly, around a hundred men occupied the post office and thus began Ireland's struggle for Independence. In Easter of 1916, the Irish Republic was born.
Bursting with pubs and music, this most hospitable city is a wonderful combination of lively city life and infectious Irish blarney!

View on top of Knocknarae Ireland | Magnificent sacred site
Knocknarae is a striking 327 meter hill in Sligo topped with an enormous 55 meter wide, 30 feet tall, 5k year old cairn, the legendary burial of Queen Maeve. It's a magnificent piece of history and the view of Sligo is one of the best in Ireland. There are other archaeological remains on the plateau which are thought to be older than the cairn and I found the energy near some of the smaller stone alignments to be exceptionally potent. We were giddy with a feeling we couldn't describe except joyous. I felt the density of sacred attention this place has received for thousands of years by our ancestors. It lifted my vibration and attuned me to

Healing Nature of Ireland | New Moon Message: Healing the deep well of emotions
The nature of Ireland is breathtaking, mysterious, magical and wild. There is a potent energy in the land and certain sacred places that can offer healing and an echo to your soul. I incorporate mindful walking and meditation at sites to connect deeper and hear the wisdom messages from nature. Here in the Mam Ean valley of Connemara I share the inspiration that I felt near the top of the valley at the holy well.
Visit my website for more information about my therapy practice including ecotherapy sacred site tours, mindfulness and meditation, intuitive counseling, shamanic, rahanni and reiki healing.

It lifted my vibration and attuned me to a state of joy and peace.
I highly recommend a visit to this extraordinary world wonder, to gaze into the mystery of the past, commune with the sacred energy of our ancestors and appreciate the great natural beauty of Ireland.

Healing Nature of Ireland | New Moon Message: Healing the deep well of emotions
The nature of Ireland is breathtaking, mysterious, magical and wild. There is a potent energy in the land and certain sacred places that can offer healing and an echo to your soul. Poulnabrone dolmen is a portal tomb located in Co. Clare. It is one of the most famous dolmens in Ireland. The large capstone rises up from the limestone bedrock of the Burren, supported by two portal stones that are 1.8 meters high. The people that were buried in Poulnabrone dolmen were Neolithic farmers. The radiocarbon dates from the bones produced an age of 3800 to 3200 B.C. The name Poulnabrone literally means 'The hole of the sorrows'. Poulnabrone Dolmen excavated in 1986 by Dr Anne Lynch of Duchas, among the discoveries were the remains of 16-22 adults and 6 children.
Excavations done in 1986 and 1988 by Ann Lynch produced many interesting finds, in addition to replacing two of the broken orthistat stones. This assures that Poulnabrone will remain a dominant part of the Irish landscape for many years to come. In the grykes (crevices between the pavement-like blocks of limestone),the Burren boasts a diversity of flora representing over 70% of Ireland's 900 native species in less than 0.5% of its area. No matter what time of year, there always seems to be something wonderful growing in these little unexpected areas.
Location: From Ennis, take N 85 north to R 476. Travel through Corofin and turn right onto R 480 at Leamaneh Castle. Signposted, Poulnabrone is approximately 9 kilometers up this road on the right. Visible from the road.
MORE : This tomb was in use during the Neolithic and radiocarbon dates place its use between 3,800 - 3,600 BC. Also found in the burial chamber was a polished stone axe, 2 stone beads, a decorated bone pendant, a fragment of a mushroom-headed bone pin, 2 quartz crystals, several sherds of coarse pottery, and a number of arrowheads and scrapers. Grykes are crevices in the limestone that were then filled with remains. Chamber and grykes also were filled with the bones of various large and small animals.

Pastor Charles Lawson - The Vatican and E T. # 13 Portals, E T 's, and the Catholic Church
Lawson was born Quintin Charles Devenish Lawson[1] in Enniskillen, County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland, Lawson was educated at Campbell College (a Grammar School) in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and later at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, England.
Lawson has appeared in at least three films and in at least twenty television productions. He is probably best known for appearing as Jim McDonald (who is originally from Belfast) in the ITV television soap opera Coronation Street. He first appeared as Jim in 1989 and remained a regular character for the next 11 years, since which time his appearances have been few and far between.
His other television work includes appearing as Seamus Duffryn in the Yorkshire Television thriller miniseries Harry's Game (also known as Belfast Assassin) (1982) based around The Troubles in Northern Ireland and as Trigg in the television film The Firm (1989). He has also appeared in various other television series including Doctors (twenty-four episodes), Bread (three episodes), The Bill (three episodes) and Rosemary & Thyme (one episode).
In 2009, Lawson appeared alongside an eight-foot frankfurter sausage in a German television commercial, advertising hot dogs. His overdubbed catchphrase in the commercial is Betrachten Sie die Größe meiner Wurst! (English-language translation — "Look at the size of my sausage!").
In 2010, Lawson revealed that he would be returning to Coronation Street for its 50th anniversary celebrations. He speculated that bosses may be planning to kill his character off. Ultimately, this has not happened.[2] He stayed until April 2011. Lawson then returned for a three-month stint on the soap between August and November 2014. His brief return coincided with the imprisonment of Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) after he is framed for the murder of Tina McIntyre.
In 2015, Lawson made a guest appearance in an episode of the Comedy Central sitcom Brotherhood as the father of the three main characters.

My friends! I don't know what dark depths you had to navigate to find me but you did and I thank you. My name is Jack and I make videos of myself talking over gameplay. I am a 20-something college student studying Computing with Games Development in the South West of Ireland. I am primarily a Total War commentator but I am looking to broaden my channels content with story driven games as well. Look to my steam library and see the possibilities!
Enjoy your stay here and if you like what you see you can help me out by subscribing to me and sticking around! It helps so much more than you might think.
