Plot: Chiranjeevuli is a man who was a wealthy landowner and farmer, but his better-educated wife Neelima squandered his resources in investment schemes. Reduced to penury, his wife leaves him, and though she wants to take their son Vishwanath and give him a good education, Chiranjeevi (he goes by the shorter name, and his son thinks of him as a hero) takes the boy and struggles to find adequate jobs in Hyderabad to do this himself. Plot: The conflict between Mother-in-law and Daughter-in-law is very common in every family. But in our exemplary story, there is a conflict between Mother-in-law and Son-in-law. Millionaire Durgeshwari Devi is a very stubborn and proud lady. She has two sons, who are employed in her factory. Her pet daughter Rekha is studying in a medical college in Bombay. Everybody is scared of Durgeshwari in the house. In Raja's house, his mother Devki and his adopted sister Indu are staying. They are poor people. Raja is trying for a job. It is a co-incidence that he falls in love with Rekha. When this news is conveyed to Durgeshwari by her Secretary Shakti, she get enraged. Raja marries Rekha secretly. Durgeshwari has to accept Raja as her son-in-law and invites him along with her daughter to stay in her house. But it is her keen desire that Rekha must be separated from Raja and she tries her best to create hatred between them. But truth prevails. During the events that are unfolded, Durgeshwari finally accepts Raja as her son-in-law.

Plot: Devastated to learn that their only child, a son, has been killed by muggers in New York City, former Headmaster B.B. Pradhan and his wife, Parvati, grieve. With their son dead, there is no income coming in, so they rent out a room, in their Shivaji Park (Bombay) apartment to a budding Bollywood actress, Sujata Suman, who has been having an illicit affair with the only son (Vilas) of a politician named Gajanan Chitre. Vilas lacks the guts to tell his father that he is in love and would like to marry Sujata, and hence puts off any marriage plans. They do get intimate and as a result Sujata gets pregnant. When Pradhan finds out, he offers to take Sujata to meet Gajanan with the hope that he will permit her to become his daughter-in-law. But Gajanan not only refuses, he also threatens them, he warns them of dire consequences if Sujata does not abort the child, and moves away to another town. Pradhan refuses to let Sujata out of his house, and then begins the stalking and harassment by Gajanen's men. Pradhan goes to file a police complaint, but is told that the police cannot even touch Gajanan's men. Sujata has no choice but to continue to seek shelter with Pradhan and his wife. Sujata does not know that Pradhan and Parvati have a secret agenda of their own in keeping her within their sight.

Plot: Dr. Vijay is a psychiatrist and is in love with a beautiful young woman named Asha. Vijay hypnotizes Asha, and is successful in driving away her fears.
