CHINA TORTURE METHODS COMPARISON
This is one of our somber videos that focuses on human torture methods still used on prisoners in China today. According to Amnesty International, China still uses brutal torture methods against opponents. We searched the Internet to bring you some of China's torture methods.
Torture in China is used to achieve two main goals: one, to extract confessions and obtain evidence for criminal prosecutions, and the other, to punish. Chinese security agents continue to employ a medieval array of torture methods against government opponents, activists, lawyers, and petitioners, including spiked rods, iron torture chairs, and electric batons.
The victims of torture are very often human rights advocates and lawyers, union activists, members of non-state controlled Christian churches, Falun Gong pr...

The victims of torture are very often human rights advocates and lawyers, union activists, members of non-state controlled Christian churches, Falun Gong practitioners, members of the ethnic minority groups like Tibetans as well as Uyghurs.
China's laws are too often either selectively implemented or completely ignored by security forces and the courts. Security forces, faced with the end of labor camps, created new forms of extralegal detention, such as "black jails" or residential surveillance in undisclosed locations where torture can continue without oversight or interruption.
Almost every prisoner in China had to or still has to suffer being beaten and kicked. This by far the most common form of abuse is especially easy to spot once the prisoner has been released from prison as the victims exhibit widespread bruises and injuries on their bodies.
Numerous victims of torture have reported that the beatings and other torture methods stopped a few weeks before they were due to be released from the camps or penitentiaries in order not to leave behind any external signs of the abuse.
Despite all this, there may be Chinese officials who want to end the use of torture in detention facilities and curtail the force and influence of the public security bureau. Their efforts should be encouraged and, of course, supported.
