James Arnold may refer to:
James Arnold (1909–1999) was an English commercial artist who developed a passion for the wagons that he saw on his cycling tours of the countryside in the pre- and post-War years. He set about producing painstakingly accurate measured drawings and watercolours of all the main regional types that he came across and these he included in a series of books beginning with The Joyous Wheel (Hamish Hamilton, 1940) and including The Farm Waggons of England and Wales (John Baker, 1969).

James Jarvist Arnold (12 April 1902 – 29 October 1967) was an Australian politician. Born in Wallaroo, South Australia, he was educated at Christian Brothers College in Adelaide before becoming a railway worker and firefighter. Moving to Newcastle, New South Wales, he qualified as an accountant. In 1940, he was elected to the Australian Senate as a Labor Senator for New South Wales. He held the seat until his retirement in 1965. Arnold died in 1967.

Plot: On the first night of their shoot a documentary filmmaker and his crew catch the breakup of the up-and-coming comedy team Pete and James. Not wanting to scrap the project the director continues filming, but James is the only member of the duo he has access to. Out on his own James' stand-up career falters miserably while Pete becomes a huge star on television and in movies. Documenting the former partners on their vastly divergent paths in the world of entertainment ultimately leads to a rumored reunion back in the comedy club where it all began.
