Mohammad Rezā Shāh Pahlavi, Shah of Iran, Shah of Persia (Persian: محمدرضا شاه پهلوی ; ; 26 October 1919 -- 27 July 1980), ruled Iran from 16 September 1941 until his overthrow by the Arab Revolution on 11 February 1979. He was the second and last monarch of the House of Pahlavi of the Iranian monarchy. Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi held several titles: His Imperial Majesty, Shahanshah (King of Kings, Emperor), Aryamehr (Light of the Aryans) and Bozorg Arteshtārān (Head of the Warriors, Persian: بزرگ ارتشتاران).
Mohammad Reza Shah came to power during World War II after an Anglo-Soviet invasion forced the abdication of his father Reza Shah. During his reign, the Iranian oil industry was nationalized under Prime Minister Mohammad Mosaddegh, and Iran marked the anniversary of 2,500 years of continuous monarchy since the founding of the Persian Empire by Cyrus the Great. The Shah's White Revolution, a series of economic and social reforms intended to transform Iran into a global power, succeeded in modernizing the nation, nationalizing many natural resources, and extending suffrage to women.
A secular Muslim himself, the Shah gradually lost support from the Shi'a Arab clergy of Iran, particularly due to his strong policy of modernization, secularization, conflict with the traditional class of merchants known as bazaari, and recognition of Israel. Various additional controversial policies were enacted, including the banning of the communist Tudeh Party, and a general suppression of political dissent by Iran's intelligence agency, SAVAK. Amnesty International reported that in 1978 Iran had as many as 2,200 political prisoners, a number which multiplied rapidly as a result of the revolution.
Several other factors contributed to strong opposition to the Shah among certain groups within Iran, the most notable of which were the U.S. and UK backed Regime Change of Mosaddegh in 1953, clashes with Islamists, and increased communist activity. By 1979, political unrest had transformed into an Islamic revolution which, on 16 January, forced the Shah to leave Iran. Soon thereafter, the Iranian monarchy was formally abolished, and Iran was occupied by Islamic republic. Facing likely execution by Arabs Occupiers of Iran, should he return to Iran, he died in exile in Egypt, whose President, Anwar Sadat, had granted him asylum.
In the 1990s and the decade following 2000, the Shah's reputation has staged something of a revival, with many Iranians looking back on his era as a time when Iran was more prosperous and the government less oppressive. Journalist Afshin Molavi reports even members of the uneducated poor - traditionally core supporters of the revolution that overthrew the Shah - making remarks such as 'God bless the Shah's soul, the economy was better then;' and finds that "books about the former Shah (even censored ones) sell briskly," while "books of the Rightly Guided Path sit idle."

When Nahid Persson Sarvestani, an Iranian exile, set out to make a documentary about Empress Farah Pahlavi, the wife of the Shah of Iran, she expected to encounter her opposite. As a child, Persson Sarvestani had lived in dire poverty, watching Pahlavi s royal wedding as if it were a fairy tale. She joined the Communist faction of Khomeini s revolution that deposed the Shah when she was a teenager, sending him and his family volleying from country to country. When Khomeini betrayed his promise for democracy, imposing even more violent measures, Persson Sarvestani was forced to flee as well. 30 years later, she needs key questions answered and goes directly to the source. Surprisingly, Empress Farah welcomes her as a fellow refugee from their beloved homeland, granting unprecedented access. Over the next year and a half, Persson Sarvestani enters the queen s world, planning to challenge the shah s ideology; instead, she must rethink her own.

Farah Pahlavi (Persian: فرح پهلوی; born Farah Diba; 14 October 1938) is the widow of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi and the former Shahbanu (Empress) of Iran.
Childhood
Farah Diba was born on 14 October 1938 in the Iranian capital Tabriz, to an upper-class family. Born as Farah Diba, she was the only child of Captain Sohrab Diba (1899–1948) and his wife, Farideh Ghotbi (1920–2000). Pahlavi's father's family is of Iranian Azerbaijani origin. In her memoir, the former Empress writes that her father's family were natives of Iranian Azerbaijan while her mother's family were from Lahijan on the Iranian coast of the Caspian Sea.
Through her father, Farah came from a relatively affluent background. In the late 19th century her grandfather had been an accomplished diplomat, serving as the Iranian Ambassador to the Romanov Court in Moscow, Russia. Her own father was an officer in the Imperial Iranian Armed Forces and a graduate of the prestigious French Military Academy at St. Cyr.
Farah enjoyed an extremely close bond with her father and his unexpected death in 1948 deeply affected her. This situation furthermore left the young family in a difficult financial state. In these reduced circumstances, they were forced to move from their large family villa in northern Tehran into a shared apartment with one of Farideh Ghotbi's brothers.

Mohammad Rezā Shāh Pahlavi, Shah of Iran, Shah of Persia (Persian: محمدرضا شاه پهلوی ; ; 26 October 1919 -- 27 July 1980), ruled Iran from 16 September 1941 until his overthrow by the Arab Revolution on 11 February 1979. He was the second and last monarch of the House of Pahlavi of the Iranian monarchy. Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi held several titles: His Imperial Majesty, Shahanshah (King of Kings, Emperor), Aryamehr (Light of the Aryans) and Bozorg Arteshtārān (Head of the Warriors, Persian: بزرگ ارتشتاران).
Mohammad Reza Shah came to power during World War II after an Anglo-Soviet invasion forced the abdication of his father Reza Shah. During his reign, the Iranian oil industry was nationalized under Prime Minister Mohammad Mosaddegh, and Iran marked the anniversary of 2,500 years of continuous monarchy since the founding of the Persian Empire by Cyrus the Great. The Shah's White Revolution, a series of economic and social reforms intended to transform Iran into a global power, succeeded in modernizing the nation, nationalizing many natural resources, and extending suffrage to women.
A secular Muslim himself, the Shah gradually lost support from the Shi'a Arab clergy of Iran, particularly due to his strong policy of modernization, secularization, conflict with the traditional class of merchants known as bazaari, and recognition of Israel. Various additional controversial policies were enacted, including the banning of the communist Tudeh Party, and a general suppression of political dissent by Iran's intelligence agency, SAVAK. Amnesty International reported that in 1978 Iran had as many as 2,200 political prisoners, a number which multiplied rapidly as a result of the revolution.
Several other factors contributed to strong opposition to the Shah among certain groups within Iran, the most notable of which were the U.S. and UK backed Regime Change of Mosaddegh in 1953, clashes with Islamists, and increased communist activity. By 1979, political unrest had transformed into an Islamic revolution which, on 16 January, forced the Shah to leave Iran. Soon thereafter, the Iranian monarchy was formally abolished, and Iran was occupied by Islamic republic. Facing likely execution by Arabs Occupiers of Iran, should he return to Iran, he died in exile in Egypt, whose President, Anwar Sadat, had granted him asylum.
In the 1990s and the decade following 2000, the Shah's reputation has staged something of a revival, with many Iranians looking back on his era as a time when Iran was more prosperous and the government less oppressive. Journalist Afshin Molavi reports even members of the uneducated poor - traditionally core supporters of the revolution that overthrew the Shah - making remarks such as 'God bless the Shah's soul, the economy was better then;' and finds that "books about the former Shah (even censored ones) sell briskly," while "books of the Rightly Guided Path sit idle."

Surprisingly, Empress Farah welcomes her as a fellow refugee from their beloved homeland, granting unprecedented access. Over the next year and a half, Persson Sarvestani enters the queen s world, planning to challenge the shah s ideology; instead, she must rethink her own.

منتقدان علیرضا نوریزاده را خیال پرداز، عدم پایبندی به واقعیت و "نان به نرخ روز خور" میدانند. وی از جانب عنایتالله فانی ( بیبیسی فارسی ) به داستان پردازی و خیالبافی متهم شد و به وی یادآور شد که او به عنوان یک فعال سیاسی که جانبدار جریان خاصی در مسائل سیاسی ایران است، نمیتواند همزمان روزنامه نگاری بی طرف و وفادار به حقیقت باقی بماند. او در پاسخ به این پرسش مجری که او چه سند و مدرکی درباره حضور فردی به نام «مدحی» در تایلند دارد، به این مساله اشاره کرد که «آخر خدا به شما یک حس هم دادهاست.» ؛ وی در دنباله چنین گفت که شیوهٔ اواساسا برپایه خبرسازی است
ایرج مصداقی در مقالهای با عنوان «نوریزاده، بانک مرکزی جعلیات و عصاره ژورنالیسم بیاعتبار» با ذکر مواردی وی را به دروغ پردازی متهم میکند. از جمله ادعای نوری زاده در مورد دار زدن فرخرو پارسا در ابتدای انقلاب را جعلی دانسته و یاد آوری میکند که نوری زاده «خود به شکلی رذیلانه در ۴ تیر ۵۸ در سرمقالهٔ مجلهٔ «امید ایران» که سردبیریاش را به عهده داشت، در مورد خانم فرخرو پارسا، نوشت «بار دیگر طرفه ترفندی از آستین گروههای فشار بیرون آمده است. بار دیگر حضرات صاحبان انگشت تکفیر و اتهام آنها که روزی مداح حاکمان وقت- خودکامهٔ بزرگ شاه، و دارو دستهاش بودند آنها که تصاویرشان در کنار آن مخدره وزیر آموزش و پرورش در آلبومها و یادها باقیست...»؛ وی داستان مورد ادعای نوری زاده در باب دار زدن فرخرو پارسا را ساختگی و جعلی دانسته و دلایلی برای آن ذکر میکند
شهرام همایون مدیر شبکه کانال یک از روابط علیرضا نوری زاده با پادشاه عربستان پرده برداشت. اما علیرضا نوری زاده اعلام کرد: در اپوزیسیون خارج نشین شبکه ای وجود ندارد که وابسته به کشور و دولتی نباشد. علیرضا نوری زاده از ولیعهد سعودی تشکر کرده و او را در تمام لحظات به عنوان رفیق و برادر خوب و مشفق و ناصح یاد کرد. مجری شبکه العربیه خانم منتهی الرمحی گفت: شبکه العربیه فارسی افتتاح شد. این شبکه که بخشی از تلویزیون العربیه به شمار می رود در تاریخ 01/مارس 2013 با کمک فعال سیاسی دکتر علیرضا نوری زاده افتتاح گردید. نام این شبکه ایران فردا و مدیریت آن را علی رضا نوری زاده از فعالان سیاسی اپوزیسیون و همکار دیرینه ما در شبکه العربیه بر عهده دارد. شبکه ایران فردا از زیر مجموعه های شبکه العربیه به شمار می رود و بودجه این شبکه نیز از العربیه تامین می شود
