Femi Seun Ogunode (born 15 May 1991) is a Nigerian-born sprint athlete who competes internationally for Qatar. His personal best of 9.91 at 100 m makes him the current holder of the Asian 100m record.
Ogunode made his international debut for Qatar at the 2010 Asian Games and won a 200 metres/400 metres double. The following year he won Asian and Arab titles over 200 m as well as 100 metres/200 m sprint titles at the 2011 Military World Games. He was a finalist in the 400 m at the 2011 World Championships in Athletics, but served a two-year ban from January 2012 to 2014 after a positive drugs test.
He won his second career double at the Asian Games in 2014, this time in the 100 m/200 m, and set an Asian record of 9.93 seconds for the former event (the second Asian man to break the 10-second barrier after fellow Qatari-Nigerian Samuel Francis). He also won bronze medals at a global level that year at the 2014 IAAF World Indoor Championships and 2014 IAAF Continental Cup.
Ogunode improved his Asian record to 9.91 to win the 100 m at the 2015 Asian Athletics Championships, he also improved is 200 meters Asian record of 19.97 (-0.4) in Bruxelles 11 Sep 2015.

Qatar’s Femi Ogunode, who equalled his Asian 100m record of 9.91 (+0.6 mps) won the 100-meter dash in a time of 9.91 seconds to break the six-year-old Percy Beard Track record by 0.1 seconds and setting the fastest time in the world this year. He has been training with former Gator All-American and Olympian Dennis Mitchell for nearly a year.
Nigerian born Ogunode who now represents Qatar, holds the Asian Record in both the 100m/200m. Having failed to qualify for the 100m finals, the Qatari believes he can do much better in the 200m semifinals, by making it to the finals and probably finish on the podium. He placed second in his Heat in 20.23s.

Femi Ogunode was awarded with the Best Male Athlete in the Asian Continent prize on 29-10-2015 Thursday night by the Association of National Olympic Committees in, Femi Ogunode in his acceptance speech thanked the ANOC awards and His Royal Highness Joaan bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani of Qatar, after leaving the stage he later address the press by thanking God and his family for the support they have been showing towards him and also thanked is coach, Qatar athletics federation for also believing in him, he also thanked is fans for showing him so much love and also inspiring him to do more. Femi who said the award was a major achievement for him in is career and he promised to do more and go higher in the coming Athletics events.

American Justin Gatlin has stepped up his preparations for the Rio Olympics with an impressive victory in the 100 metres at the Diamond League in Shanghai. Gatlin, who has twice served bans for doping, was unbeaten at 100m and 200m in 2015 until he faced an out-of-form Usain Bolt in the world championships in Beijing last August.
