When you're shooting video, you see on your camera that you have several different clips. But when you plug the card into your computer and look at the files, you can't see the individual video clips.
If you dig deep, you'll find mysterious MTS files, but when you try to open them in a video player, it doesn't work.
How can you copy or move a single video clip? How can you open them in a video player without bringing them into your video editing software?

--Check the box for "Large File Size" if your video is 4GB or higher. If your video is long, HD, and/or shot with a DSLR, you'll probably need to do this.
--If your video is "interlaced," like recorded in 1080i, you need to go to the "Video Filters" tab. Next to "Decomb," select "Default," from the drop-down menu. Decomb works better than regular Deinterlace.
You do NOT need to do this if your video is "progressive," like 1080p.
--YouTube recommended bitrates:
8000 kbps for 1080p
5000 kbps for 720p
2500 kbps for 480p
--Audio sample rate can be 48 khz.

Sony, Panasonic, JVC and other cameras have a choice of AVCHD or MP4 format for recording video clips. AVCHD is the high def format, but unfortunately is very, very confusing in file management on Mac OS. It is typically a "container" holding multiple video clips, inaccessible for direct editing or file management without exporting to MP4 or MOV file format.

Ich habe diese Methode bis jetzt nur mit der Sony HDR CX730E Testen können, wie es mit andern Camcorder Modellen Funktioniert kann ich nicht sagen.
