It's December 28th, 2016, and for the year 2016, in Canada, there could be no larger IMPACT EVENT than "The Great Fort McMurray Wildfire". It's Canada's largest ever natural disaster. 88,000 people evacuated successfully in a raging Wildfire. A tribute! A model!
Songs and images can capture the emotions of people affected by historic events and I hope the people of Alberta and people across Canada will consider this song, as a way to continue to help those who need it, and to remember how we all came together as one nation, one world, undivided, despite all of our differences.
That image of togetherness, all for one, one for all, drove me as I wrote this song. I guess that's because I've suffered unimaginable loss in this life, and I knew these people were about to and I just wanted to help... because that's what people that have suffered want and need to do. So that's how this song evolved.
The images you'll see in this video drove the rhythm, the melody and the lyrics and the message. Many thanks to Michel Chamberland who captured these images and to the CBC for their tireless coverage and their interview of Captain Adam Bugden (as you'll see here), Chief Darby Allen and so many others. To the Montana Smoke Jumpers who provided their fearless footage in solidarity with their fellow firefighters, both brothers and sisters.
I just want to send a little love out there and encourage us all to do the same now, before the end of 2016, and then every day after that into 2017 and beyond.
Sorry for going on about it.

Highway 63 is the only north-south highway through the booming oil town of Fort McMurray. The highway connects Fort McMurray to the oilsands to the north, and Edmonton, Alberta to the south.

Fort McMurray
Fort McMurray, once named McMurray, is an urban service area in the Regional Municipality (R.M.) of Wood Buffalo in Alberta, Canada. Formerly a city, it became an urban service area when it amalgamated with Improvement District No. 143 on April 1, 1995, to create the Municipality of Wood Buffalo (renamed the R.M. of Wood Buffalo on August 14, 1996). Despite its current official designation of urban service area, many locals, politicians and the media still refer to Fort McMurray as a city. Fort McMurray was known as McMurray between 1947 and 1962.
The Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo is Canada's most affluent city, with an average household income of $191,507.
History
Before the arrival of Europeans in the late 18th Century, the Cree were the dominant First Nations people in the Fort McMurray area. The Athabasca Oil Sands were known to the locals and the surface deposits were used to waterproof their canoes. In 1778, the first European explorer, Peter Pond, came to the region in search of furs, as the European demand for this commodity at the time was strong. Pond explored the region farther south along the Athabasca River and the Clearwater River, but chose to set up a trading post much farther north by the Athabasca River near Lake Athabasca. However, his post closed in 1788 in favour of Fort Chipewyan, now the oldest continuous settlement in Alberta.

Highway
A highway is any public road or other public way on land. It is used for major roads, but also includes other public roads and public tracks: It is not an equivalent term to freeway (motorway), or a translation for autobahn, autoroute, etc.
In North American and Australian English, major roads such as controlled-access highways or arterial roads are often state highways (Canada: provincial highways). Other roads may be designated "county highways" in the US and Ontario. These classifications refer to the level of government (state, provincial, county) that maintains the roadway.
In British English, "highway" is primarily a legal term. Everyday use normally implies roads, while the legal use covers any route or path with a public right of access, including footpaths etc.
The term has led to several related derived terms, including highway system, highway code, highway patrol and highwayman.
The term highway exists in distinction to "waterway".
Overview
Major highways are often named and numbered by the governments that typically develop and maintain them. Australia's Highway 1 is the longest national highway in the world at over 14,500 km or 9,000 mi and runs almost the entire way around the continent. China has the world's largest network of highways followed closely by the United States of America. Some highways, like the Pan-American Highway or the European routes, span multiple countries. Some major highway routes include ferry services, such as U.S. Route 10, which crosses Lake Michigan.

Road to Victory is a 1944 short film notable for the appearance of Bing Crosby, a major singing and movie star, Cary Grant, a major actor in motion pictures, and Frank Sinatra, a young singer who would soon become a movie star himself. The short also featured Benny Goodman and Harry James. The movie was an edited and truncated re-release of The Shining Future from the same year.

Parable of the Good Samaritan
The parable of the Good Samaritan is a parable told by Jesus and is mentioned in only one of the gospels of the New Testament. According to the Gospel of Luke (10:29–37) a traveler (who may or may not have been a Jew) is stripped of clothing, beaten, and left half dead along the road. First a priest and then a Levite come by, but both avoid the man. Finally, a Samaritan comes by. Samaritans and Jews generally despised each other, but the Samaritan helps the injured man. Jesus is described as telling the parable in response to a question regarding the identity of the "neighbour", whom Leviticus 19:18 says should be loved.
Portraying a Samaritan in a positive light would have come as a shock to Jesus's audience. It is typical of his provocative speech in which conventional expectations are inverted.
Some Christians, such as Augustine, have interpreted the parable allegorically, with the Samaritan representing Jesus Christ, who saves the sinful soul. Others, however, discount this allegory as unrelated to the parable's original meaning and see the parable as exemplifying the ethics of Jesus.

On the 1st of July 2010 I met Rick by chance in Anchorage / Alaska in front of Donald Rosene's motorcycle shop ( www.themotorcycleshop.com ) - during the Long Way Round in 2004 they did a meticulous service on our BMWs after the heavy battering in Siberia. I just started www.RacingGreenEndurance.com, where I'm following a group of Imperial College graduates from London who are trying to establish a long distance record with an electric super car by driving the 26'000 km long Pan-American Highway from Alaska to Argentina. Rick offered to help me out with his BMW GS1200 and let me ride pillion from Alaska to Texas. Unfortunately he had to leave us after that but it was a great privilege to have met him. A visual concert made of miles of footage "Highway World - living, changing, growing" is a visual concept, embedded between asphalt and the mobile human being. In this nonverbal documentary film, the spectator sets out on a trip throughout giant highway construction sites in Africa, high-tech factories of the global car manufacturing corporations and multi-storey US highways. Other locations include the river-spanning capital highways of Abuja, Bangkok’s Bang Na Express which is built on giant concrete segments and California’s eight-lane super highways. The archive footage of "Highway World - living, changing, growing" dates back to the Thirties, likewise visualising the industrial history of car manufacturing and the construction of highways. The footage, distilled from the industrial context, as well as Paisley Music (Ambient musical style) of sitar master Al Gromer Khan lead to a contemplative immersion into the highway worlds. The film manages without any comment. The actual narration "Highway World - living, changing, growing" intends to open the mind of the audience to human evolutionary processes, generated by a space-capturing and time-spanning highway world. During this journey, the viewer becomes “pillion” of several development stages (birth, infant, adult, death, rebirth). The human soul is formed by the different stages of construction (starting from the first blasting until the highway’s official opening) and the different stages of traffic (freely flowing traffic, stop and go, traffic jam). Contemplation via repetition is a basic creative principle of the film. Graphic connections, cyclic repetition of similar visual content and film metaphors create the film’ s base for an immersion into the highway spheres. It is 81 minutes of “state of mind”. The entire associative documentary film (a crossover of compilation and found footage film) was composed out of more than 63 hours of film, video material and 1.700 photos. The associative documentary film comprises commercial, educational and scientific footage as well as computer animations from the fields of automotive industry, traffic research and personal footage of the director, Martin Hans Schmitt. The project was funded by the German Federal Film Board as reference film.

It's December 28th, 2016, and for the year 2016, in Canada, there could be no larger IMPACT EVENT than "The Great Fort McMurray Wildfire". It's Canada's largest ever natural disaster. 88,000 people evacuated successfully in a raging Wildfire. A tribute! A model!
Songs and images can capture the emotions of people affected by historic events and I hope the people of Alberta and people across Canada will consider this song, as a way to continue to help those who need it, and to remember how we all came together as one nation, one world, undivided, despite all of our differences.
That image of togetherness, all for one, one for all, drove me as I wrote this song. I guess that's because I've suffered unimaginable loss in this life, and I knew these people were about to and I just wanted to help... because that's what people that have suffered want and need to do. So that's how this song evolved.
The images you'll see in this video drove the rhythm, the melody and the lyrics and the message. Many thanks to Michel Chamberland who captured these images and to the CBC for their tireless coverage and their interview of Captain Adam Bugden (as you'll see here), Chief Darby Allen and so many others. To the Montana Smoke Jumpers who provided their fearless footage in solidarity with their fellow firefighters, both brothers and sisters.
I just want to send a little love out there and encourage us all to do the same now, before the end of 2016, and then every day after that into 2017 and beyond.

On the 1st of July 2010 I met Rick by chance in Anchorage / Alaska in front of Donald Rosene's motorcycle shop ( www.themotorcycleshop.com ) - during the Long Way Round in 2004 they did a meticulous service on our BMWs after the heavy battering in Siberia.

The footage, distilled from the industrial context, as well as Paisley Music (Ambient musical style) of sitar master Al Gromer Khan lead to a contemplative immersion into the highway worlds. The film manages without any comment. The actual narration "Highway World - living, changing, growing" intends to open the mind of the audience to human evolutionary processes, generated by a space-capturing and time-spanning highway world. During this journey, the viewer becomes “pillion” of several development stages (birth, infant, adult, death, rebirth). The human soul is formed by the different stages of construction (starting from the first blasting until the highway’s official opening) and the different stages of traffic (freely flowing traffic, stop and go, traffic jam).
Contemplation via repetition is a basic creative principle of the film.
Graphic connections, cyclic repetition of similar visual content and film metaphors create the film’ s base for an immersion into the highway spheres. It is 81 minutes of “state of mind”. The entire associative documentary film (a crossover of compilation and found footage film) was composed out of more than 63 hours of film, video material and 1.700 photos.
The associative documentary film comprises commercial, educational and scientific footage as well as computer animations from the fields of automotive industry, traffic research and personal footage of the director, Martin Hans Schmitt. The project was funded by the German Federal Film Board as reference film.

Graphic connections, cyclic repetition of similar visual content and film metaphors create the film’ s base for an immersion into the highway spheres. It is 81 minutes of “state of mind”. The entire associative documentary film (a crossover of compilation and found footage film) was composed out of more than 63 hours of film, video material and 1.700 photos.
The associative documentary film comprises commercial, educational and scientific footage as well as computer animations from the fields of automotive industry, traffic research and personal footage of the director, Martin Hans Schmitt. The project was funded by the German Federal Film Board as reference film.

Speed Creed is a community dedicated to sports car owners in Indonesia. We hold meets and cruises, documenting them like no other car community in the country.
The crew met at Flavor Bliss in Alam Sutera at 5:30AM, where we all had a hearty breakfast (arguable) at Wendy's. After a few snaps, the crew took off in a semi-organized fashion to Cibubur Junction.
Equipped with a few walkie talkies and GoPro cameras, it was a challenge to keep everyone together, especially with the traffic that was getting heavier. Nevertheless, everyone had a chance to drive spiritedly, pushing their cars and roaring through the Jagorawi highway.
Arriving in BK at around 8:30AM, we stopped by for yet ANOTHER meal and a photo session. Some of the crew left for the Forza event at Sentul, and the rest stayed. Afterwards, we moved on to Sentul City, for a rest stop at Bakmi Kelinci (next to Petronas gas station).

Mother’s come in all sizes and ages. Some of us had young mothers, some had older mothers. Some of us had petite mom’s some had larger moms. Regardless of the age or size of our Mom’s, I know something all Mom’s have in common. When push comes to shove, when the gates of hell open up, when the world falls apart, there is nothing stronger than a mother’s love for her children. Sorry Dad’s. You don’t come close.
A mother’s love for her children is one of the strongest forces in this world. I believe it is so strong because it is chiseled directly from the heart of God!
What makes God’s Love so powerful, and what makes a mother’s love so powerful, is a special bond!
A Mother bonds with her child through countless hours, countless feedings. This is her baby, her child. God’s love is so powerful because of His relationship to those He loves. God had a special relationship with His people, the Jews. It was a covenant relationship. It made the Jews special, beloved to Him. His love for them was different than His love for the gentiles because of that Covenant Relationship. Through Jesus Christ, we have a New Covenant Relationship with God. We are born again and become children of God. We enter into a new and special relationship with God. He has a special Love for His children. Just as a Mother has a special love for her own children, so does God have a special love with His children.
THE POWER OF LOVE IS BECAUSE OF THE RELATIONSHIP!
Just like you don’t pull on superman’s cape, your don’t spit into the wind, you don’t pull the mask off the old lone ranger and you don’t mess around with a Mom and her children.
Fremont, CA (KPIX) - A Fremont, California woman is recovering from severe injuries to her arms after a pit bull terrier attacked her in her own garage, forcing her to stash her baby in a garbage can for protection.
Thirty-two-year-old Angela Silva received 50 staples and countless stitches as a result of Tuesday's attack.
Silva says her neighbor's dog wandered into her open garage and lunged at her and her four-month-old son.
After she put the child in a plastic garbage bin, the 80-pound pit bull terrier, "Swisher", continued pursuing the baby and knocked over the bin as Silva fought the animal off with her arms. Two men across the street eventually came to her aid and chased away the dog.
"My flesh was flying off of my arms," she says. "I just don't think that I would have been able to stand up any longer."
Mighty Pharaoh tried to kill the Jewish babies.
The Jewish Mom’s were so tough they were having the babies one day and out working in the field the next, their babies hidden away. One Mom was bold enough to make a basket of reeds and then waterproof it, and then put her baby Moses in it to float downstream. Mom’s do amazing things because of their love for their children.
Jeremiah 9:23-24 (NASB) Thus says the Lord, "Let not a wise man boast of his wisdom, and let not the mighty man boast of his might, let not a rich man boast of his riches; but let him who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the Lord who exercises lovingkindness, justice and righteousness on earth; for I delight in these things," declares the Lord.
This morning we need to understand Three things that God Delights in, and once we understand these, we can better understand the power of a Mother’s Love. But first, let me ask you a couple of questions that this verse brings up…
1. What Do You Boast About?
let not a rich man boast of his riches; but let him who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me
You may be smart, you may have wealth, but God says that doesn’t matter. If you are going to boast in anything, boast in knowing and understanding God. That requires growing relationship with Him. That requires an intimacy with God such that any time you pick up His Word you are immediately overwhelmed with a flash from God!
Like the TV series Chuck, who has the Intersect in his brain. Whenever he sees someone or something that is in the Super Spy data base, he flashes on it and all this information comes to his mind. He always gets overwhelmed for just a bit when he “flashes” on the information.
Do you have that kind of relationship with God? Do you boast to your friends that you have such a special relationship?
I know that our world has become so infected with sin that homes and families are fractured and tormented. Not everyone has a wonderful mom who loved them and nurtured them. Our Mom’s may be flawed in several ways, but there is always something you can boast in about your mom. It may be her cooking, her crafts, her drive, her protection, her prayers, her drive. Dig deep and find something to boast in about your Mom. Boast about her to your children, and even your grandchildren. Honor her. She gave you life.
We honor God because He gave us life. If we are to boast, boast in God, in that you know Him and understand Him.

This morning we need to understand Three things that God Delights in, and once we understand these, we can better understand the power of a Mother’s Love. But first, let me ask you a couple of questions that this verse brings up…
1. What Do You Boast About?
let not a rich man boast of his riches; but let him who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me
You may be smart, you may have wealth, but God says that doesn’t matter. If you are going to boast in anything, boast in knowing and understanding God. That requires growing relationship with Him. That requires an intimacy with God such that any time you pick up His Word you are immediately overwhelmed with a flash from God!
Like the TV series Chuck, who has the Intersect in his brain. Whenever he sees someone or something that is in the Super Spy data base, he flashes on it and all this information comes to his mind. He always gets overwhelmed for just a bit when he “flashes” on the information.
Do you have that kind of relationship with God? Do you boast to your friends that you have such a special relationship?
I know that our world has become so infected with sin that homes and families are fractured and tormented. Not everyone has a wonderful mom who loved them and nurtured them. Our Mom’s may be flawed in several ways, but there is always something you can boast in about your mom. It may be her cooking, her crafts, her drive, her protection, her prayers, her drive. Dig deep and find something to boast in about your Mom. Boast about her to your children, and even your grandchildren. Honor her. She gave you life.
We honor God because He gave us life. If we are to boast, boast in God, in that you know Him and understand Him.

LUKE 10:25‐37
We call the Hero in this parable the “Good Samaritan”. But to the listeners of Jesus, the Samaritans were anything else but good. They were trash, they were rabid dogs. The Samaritans were the remnants of what was left in the Northern Kingdom when Assyria destroyed Israel and Babylon destroyed Judea. The Samaritans intermarried with the locals, which made them impure; they only read the first five books of the Hebrew Bible, which made them unholy heretics. They worshipped on the tops of hills, the High Places, and did not go to Jerusalem, which the Judeans had decided was the only place to do effective sacrifices. That’s all bad stuff. A Jew could be made impure just by talking to them.
The relationship between the Jews and Samaritans was one of hostility because of these things. According to the Mishna, "He that eats the bread of the Samaritans is like to one that eats the flesh of swine" (Mishna Shebiith 8:10). The Mishna is the collection of oral traditions that developed to met specific situations which the law deals with only in principle.
"The Samaritan woman therefore said to Him, “How is it that You, being a Jew, ask me for a drink since I am a Samaritan woman?” (For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.)" (John 4:9).
"The Jews answered and said to Him(Jesus), “Do we not say rightly that You are a Samaritan and have a demon?” 49 Jesus answered, “I do not have a demon; but I honor My Father, and you dishonor Me,'" (John 8:48-49)
Three Attitudes Toward Life
1. The Thief: "What you have is mine." I determine what is the best use of your possessions.
2. The Priest and Levite: "What I have is mine." I determine what is the best use of my time and possessions.
3. The Good Samaritan: "What I have belongs to God" I follow God as He determines what is the best use of my time and possessions.
The first two said, What will happen to me if I stop?” But the Samaritan looked upon him, and had compassion, and he thought, “What will happen to him if I don’t?”
The Samaritan Had Compassion
And Jesus in pity touched their eyes, and immediately they recovered their sight and followed him. Matthew 20:34
Moved with pity, he stretched out his hand and touched him and said to him, “I will; be clean.” Mark 1:41
And he arose and came to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion, and ran and embraced him and kissed him. Luke 15:20
When he went ashore he saw a great crowd, and he had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd. And he began to teach them many things. Mark 6:34
When he went ashore he saw a great crowd, and he had compassion on them and healed their sick. Matthew 14:14

And out of pity for him, the master of that servant released him and forgave him the debt. Matthew 18:27
“LIFE THAT’S TRULY LIFE.”
THE SAMARITAN DEMONSTRATES THE LIFE OF ONE WHO IS TRULY LIVING!
Loving God and neighbor leads to true life.
Now, I’d like to head back up to the top of this passage to verse 28, which possibly contains the most important aspect of this entire passage. In Luke 10:28, Jesus makes a powerful, implicit promise to the lawyer who first posed the question—and to us. What is that promise? If we as his followers will love the Lord our God with all our heart and our soul and with all our strength and with all our mind and if we love our neighbor as well as we do ourselves, then we will truly live.
Life, in other words, comes by way of loving God with everything we are and loving our neighbor with everything we have. Contrary to what the Enemy would have us believe, life does not come by way of satisfying our own personal desires.
Listen to the apostle Paul’s charge to young Timothy,
1 TIMOTHY 6:17‐19: “Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life.”
Putting our hope in God.
Being rich in good deeds.
Being generous and willing to share.
Add these things together, and what does it equal?
LIFE THAT IS TRULY LIFE.
Who is it that I’m supposed to love as I love myself. Who am I supposed to show favor to? Who am I called to work for;

Rick Peterson is a helicopter pilot, motorcycle adventurer, sailing boat captain, photographer. On the 1st of July 2010 I met Rick by chance in Anchorage / Alaska in front of Donald Rosene's motorcycle shop ( www.themotorcycleshop.com ) - during the Long Way Round in 2004 they did a meticulous service on our BMWs after the heavy battering in Siberia. I just started www.RacingGreenEndurance.com, where I'm following a group of Imperial College graduates from London who are trying to establish a long distance record with an electric super car by driving the 26'000 km long Pan-American Highway from Alaska to Argentina. It's December 28th, 2016, and for the year 2016, in Canada, there could be no larger IMPACT EVENT than "The Great Fort McMurray Wildfire". It's Canada's largest ever natural disaster. 88,000 people evacuated successfully in a raging Wildfire. A tribute! A model!
Songs and images can capture the emotions of people affected by historic events and I hope the people of Alberta and people across Canada will consider this song, as a way to continue to help those who need it, and to remember how we all came together as one nation, one world, undivided, despite all of our differences.
That image of togetherness, all for one, one for all, drove me as I wrote this song. I guess that's because I've suffered unimaginable loss in this life, and I knew these people were about to and I just wanted to help... because that's what people that have suffered want and need to do. So that's how this song evolved.
The images you'll see in this video drove the rhythm, the melody and the lyrics and the message. Many thanks to Michel Chamberland who captured these images and to the CBC for their tireless coverage and their interview of Captain Adam Bugden (as you'll see here), Chief Darby Allen and so many others. To the Montana Smoke Jumpers who provided their fearless footage in solidarity with their fellow firefighters, both brothers and sisters.
I just want to send a little love out there and encourage us all to do the same now, before the end of 2016, and then every day after that into 2017 and beyond.
Sorry for going on about it.

"Highway World - living, changing, growing" is a visual concept, embedded between asphalt and the mobile human being. In this nonverbal documentary film, the spectator sets out on a trip throughout giant highway construction sites in Africa, high-tech factories of the global car manufacturing corporations and multi-storey US highways. Other locations include the river-spanning capital highways of Abuja, Bangkok’s Bang Na Express which is built on giant concrete segments and California’s eight-lane super highways. The archive footage of "Highway World - living, changing, growing" dates back to the Thirties, likewise visualising the industrial history of car manufacturing and the construction of highways.
The footage, distilled from the industrial context, as well as Paisley Music (Ambient musical style) of sitar master Al Gromer Khan lead to a contemplative immersion into the highway worlds. The film manages without any comment. The actual narration "Highway World - living, changing, growing" intends to open the mind of the audience to human evolutionary processes, generated by a space-capturing and time-spanning highway world. During this journey, the viewer becomes “pillion” of several development stages (birth, infant, adult, death, rebirth). The human soul is formed by the different stages of construction (starting from the first blasting until the highway’s official opening) and the different stages of traffic (freely flowing traffic, stop and go, traffic jam).
Contemplation via repetition is a basic creative principle of the film.

A visual concert made of miles of footage
"Highway World - living, changing, growing" is a visual concept, embedded between asphalt and the mobile human being. In this nonverbal documentary film, the spectator sets out on a trip throughout giant highway construction sites in Africa, high-tech factories of the global car manufacturing corporations and multi-storey US highways. Other locations include the river-spanning capital highways of Abuja, Bangkok’s Bang Na Express which is built on giant concrete segments and California’s eight-lane super highways. The archive footage of "Highway World - living, changing, growing" dates back to the Thirties, likewise visualising the industrial history of car manufacturing and the construction of highways.
The footage, distilled from the industrial context, as well as Paisley Music (Ambient musical style) of sitar master Al Gromer Khan lead to a contemplative immersion into the highway worlds. The film manages without any comment. The actual narration "Highway World - living, changing, growing" intends to open the mind of the audience to human evolutionary processes, generated by a space-capturing and time-spanning highway world. During this journey, the viewer becomes “pillion” of several development stages (birth, infant, adult, death, rebirth). The human soul is formed by the different stages of construction (starting from the first blasting until the highway’s official opening) and the different stages of traffic (freely flowing traffic, stop and go, traffic jam).
Contemplation via repetition is a basic creative principle of the film.

Speed Creed is a community dedicated to sports car owners in Indonesia. We hold meets and cruises, documenting them like no other car community in the country.
The crew met at Flavor Bliss in Alam Sutera at 5:30AM, where we all had a hearty breakfast (arguable) at Wendy's. After a few snaps, the crew took off in a semi-organized fashion to Cibubur Junction.
Equipped with a few walkie talkies and GoPro cameras, it was a challenge to keep everyone together, especially with the traffic that was getting heavier. Nevertheless, everyone had a chance to drive spiritedly, pushing their cars and roaring through the Jagorawi highway.
Arriving in BK at around 8:30AM, we stopped by for yet ANOTHER meal and a photo session. Some of the crew left for the Forza event at Sentul, and the rest stayed. Afterwards, we moved on to Sentul City, for a rest stop at Bakmi Kelinci (next to Petronas gas station).

Mother’s come in all sizes and ages. Some of us had young mothers, some had older mothers. Some of us had petite mom’s some had larger moms. Regardless of the age or size of our Mom’s, I know something all Mom’s have in common. When push comes to shove, when the gates of hell open up, when the world falls apart, there is nothing stronger than a mother’s love for her children. Sorry Dad’s. You don’t come close.
A mother’s love for her children is one of the strongest forces in this world. I believe it is so strong because it is chiseled directly from the heart of God!
What makes God’s Love so powerful, and what makes a mother’s love so powerful, is a special bond!
A Mother bonds with her child through countless hours, countless feedings. This is her baby, her child. God’s love is so powerful because of His relationship to those He loves. God had a special relationship with His people, the Jews. It was a covenant relationship. It made the Jews special, beloved to Him. His love for them was different than His love for the gentiles because of that Covenant Relationship. Through Jesus Christ, we have a New Covenant Relationship with God. We are born again and become children of God. We enter into a new and special relationship with God. He has a special Love for His children. Just as a Mother has a special love for her own children, so does God have a special love with His children.
THE POWER OF LOVE IS BECAUSE OF THE RELATIONSHIP!
Just like you don’t pull on superman’s cape, your don’t spit into the wind, you don’t pull the mask off the old lone ranger and you don’t mess around with a Mom and her children.
Fremont, CA (KPIX) - A Fremont, California woman is recovering from severe injuries to her arms after a pit bull terrier attacked her in her own garage, forcing her to stash her baby in a garbage can for protection.
Thirty-two-year-old Angela Silva received 50 staples and countless stitches as a result of Tuesday's attack.
Silva says her neighbor's dog wandered into her open garage and lunged at her and her four-month-old son.
After she put the child in a plastic garbage bin, the 80-pound pit bull terrier, "Swisher", continued pursuing the baby and knocked over the bin as Silva fought the animal off with her arms. Two men across the street eventually came to her aid and chased away the dog.
"My flesh was flying off of my arms," she says. "I just don't think that I would have been able to stand up any longer."
Mighty Pharaoh tried to kill the Jewish babies.
The Jewish Mom’s were so tough they were having the babies one day and out working in the field the next, their babies hidden away. One Mom was bold enough to make a basket of reeds and then waterproof it, and then put her baby Moses in it to float downstream. Mom’s do amazing things because of their love for their children.
Jeremiah 9:23-24 (NASB) Thus says the Lord, "Let not a wise man boast of his wisdom, and let not the mighty man boast of his might, let not a rich man boast of his riches; but let him who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the Lord who exercises lovingkindness, justice and righteousness on earth; for I delight in these things," declares the Lord.
This morning we need to understand Three things that God Delights in, and once we understand these, we can better understand the power of a Mother’s Love. But first, let me ask you a couple of questions that this verse brings up…
1. What Do You Boast About?
let not a rich man boast of his riches; but let him who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me
You may be smart, you may have wealth, but God says that doesn’t matter. If you are going to boast in anything, boast in knowing and understanding God. That requires growing relationship with Him. That requires an intimacy with God such that any time you pick up His Word you are immediately overwhelmed with a flash from God!
Like the TV series Chuck, who has the Intersect in his brain. Whenever he sees someone or something that is in the Super Spy data base, he flashes on it and all this information comes to his mind. He always gets overwhelmed for just a bit when he “flashes” on the information.
Do you have that kind of relationship with God? Do you boast to your friends that you have such a special relationship?
I know that our world has become so infected with sin that homes and families are fractured and tormented. Not everyone has a wonderful mom who loved them and nurtured them. Our Mom’s may be flawed in several ways, but there is always something you can boast in about your mom. It may be her cooking, her crafts, her drive, her protection, her prayers, her drive. Dig deep and find something to boast in about your Mom. Boast about her to your children, and even your grandchildren. Honor her. She gave you life.
We honor God because He gave us life. If we are to boast, boast in God, in that you know Him and understand Him.

Just like you don’t pull on superman’s cape, your don’t spit into the wind, you don’t pull the mask off the old lone ranger and you don’t mess around with a Mom and her children.
Fremont, CA (KPIX) - A Fremont, California woman is recovering from severe injuries to her arms after a pit bull terrier attacked her in her own garage, forcing her to stash her baby in a garbage can for protection.
Thirty-two-year-old Angela Silva received 50 staples and countless stitches as a result of Tuesday's attack.
Silva says her neighbor's dog wandered into her open garage and lunged at her and her four-month-old son.
After she put the child in a plastic garbage bin, the 80-pound pit bull terrier, "Swisher", continued pursuing the baby and knocked over the bin as Silva fought the animal off with her arms. Two men across the street eventually came to her aid and chased away the dog.
"My flesh was flying off of my arms," she says. "I just don't think that I would have been able to stand up any longer."
Mighty Pharaoh tried to kill the Jewish babies.
The Jewish Mom’s were so tough they were having the babies one day and out working in the field the next, their babies hidden away. One Mom was bold enough to make a basket of reeds and then waterproof it, and then put her baby Moses in it to float downstream. Mom’s do amazing things because of their love for their children.
Jeremiah 9:23-24 (NASB) Thus says the Lord, "Let not a wise man boast of his wisdom, and let not the mighty man boast of his might, let not a rich man boast of his riches; but let him who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the Lord who exercises lovingkindness, justice and righteousness on earth; for I delight in these things," declares the Lord.
This morning we need to understand Three things that God Delights in, and once we understand these, we can better understand the power of a Mother’s Love. But first, let me ask you a couple of questions that this verse brings up…
1. What Do You Boast About?
let not a rich man boast of his riches; but let him who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me
You may be smart, you may have wealth, but God says that doesn’t matter. If you are going to boast in anything, boast in knowing and understanding God. That requires growing relationship with Him. That requires an intimacy with God such that any time you pick up His Word you are immediately overwhelmed with a flash from God!
Like the TV series Chuck, who has the Intersect in his brain. Whenever he sees someone or something that is in the Super Spy data base, he flashes on it and all this information comes to his mind. He always gets overwhelmed for just a bit when he “flashes” on the information.
Do you have that kind of relationship with God? Do you boast to your friends that you have such a special relationship?
I know that our world has become so infected with sin that homes and families are fractured and tormented. Not everyone has a wonderful mom who loved them and nurtured them. Our Mom’s may be flawed in several ways, but there is always something you can boast in about your mom. It may be her cooking, her crafts, her drive, her protection, her prayers, her drive. Dig deep and find something to boast in about your Mom. Boast about her to your children, and even your grandchildren. Honor her. She gave you life.
We honor God because He gave us life. If we are to boast, boast in God, in that you know Him and understand Him.

2.Invest your one and only life wisely.
LUKE 10:25‐37
We call the Hero in this parable the “Good Samaritan”. But to the listeners of Jesus, the Samaritans were anything else but good. They were trash, they were rabid dogs. The Samaritans were the remnants of what was left in the Northern Kingdom when Assyria destroyed Israel and Babylon destroyed Judea. The Samaritans intermarried with the locals, which made them impure; they only read the first five books of the Hebrew Bible, which made them unholy heretics. They worshipped on the tops of hills, the High Places, and did not go to Jerusalem, which the Judeans had decided was the only place to do effective sacrifices. That’s all bad stuff. A Jew could be made impure just by talking to them.
The relationship between the Jews and Samaritans was one of hostility because of these things. According to the Mishna, "He that eats the bread of the Samaritans is like to one that eats the flesh of swine" (Mishna Shebiith 8:10). The Mishna is the collection of oral traditions that developed to met specific situations which the law deals with only in principle.
"The Samaritan woman therefore said to Him, “How is it that You, being a Jew, ask me for a drink since I am a Samaritan woman?” (For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.)" (John 4:9).
"The Jews answered and said to Him(Jesus), “Do we not say rightly that You are a Samaritan and have a demon?” 49 Jesus answered, “I do not have a demon; but I honor My Father, and you dishonor Me,'" (John 8:48-49)
Three Attitudes Toward Life
1. The Thief: "What you have is mine." I determine what is the best use of your possessions.
2. The Priest and Levite: "What I have is mine." I determine what is the best use of my time and possessions.
3. The Good Samaritan: "What I have belongs to God" I follow God as He determines what is the best use of my time and possessions.
The first two said, What will happen to me if I stop?” But the Samaritan looked upon him, and had compassion, and he thought, “What will happen to him if I don’t?”
The Samaritan Had Compassion
And Jesus in pity touched their eyes, and immediately they recovered their sight and followed him. Matthew 20:34
Moved with pity, he stretched out his hand and touched him and said to him, “I will; be clean.” Mark 1:41
And he arose and came to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion, and ran and embraced him and kissed him. Luke 15:20
When he went ashore he saw a great crowd, and he had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd. And he began to teach them many things. Mark 6:34
When he went ashore he saw a great crowd, and he had compassion on them and healed their sick. Matthew 14:14
“I have compassion on the crowd, because they have been with me now three days and have nothing to eat. Mark 8:2
And out of pity for him, the master of that servant released him and forgave him the debt. Matthew 18:27
“LIFE THAT’S TRULY LIFE.”
THE SAMARITAN DEMONSTRATES THE LIFE OF ONE WHO IS TRULY LIVING!
Loving God and neighbor leads to true life.
Now, I’d like to head back up to the top of this passage to verse 28, which possibly contains the most important aspect of this entire passage. In Luke 10:28, Jesus makes a powerful, implicit promise to the lawyer who first posed the question—and to us. What is that promise? If we as his followers will love the Lord our God with all our heart and our soul and with all our strength and with all our mind and if we love our neighbor as well as we do ourselves, then we will truly live.
Life, in other words, comes by way of loving God with everything we are and loving our neighbor with everything we have. Contrary to what the Enemy would have us believe, life does not come by way of satisfying our own personal desires.
Listen to the apostle Paul’s charge to young Timothy,
1 TIMOTHY 6:17‐19: “Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life.”
Putting our hope in God.
Being rich in good deeds.
Being generous and willing to share.
Add these things together, and what does it equal?
LIFE THAT IS TRULY LIFE.
Who is it that I’m supposed to love as I love myself. Who am I supposed to show favor to? Who am I called to work for;

73 Kawasaki H1 500 - Fort McMurray Tour - April 29, 2014
First real ride of the year, and started the tour in at my shop in the Gregoire Industrial park, went downtown to my place, then through downtown, back onto Highway 63. Went up through Timberlea and all the way around to Thickwood, and back down the hill to go back to Gregoire on Highway 63. I hit the 4 Gig limit for video and it split the movie into 2 parts, this is part 1, and part 2 is just a short one.
