TV weatherman Bill Harding (Bill Paxton) is trying to get his tornado-hunter wife, Dr. Jo (Helen Hunt), to sign divorce papers so he can marry his girlfriend Melissa (Jami Gertz). But Mother Nature, in the form of a series of intense storms sweeping across Oklahoma, has other plans. Soon the three have joined the team of stormchasers, as they attempt to insert a revolutionary measuring device into the very heart of several extremely violent tornados.

Night of the Twisters is a 1996 television film directed by Timothy Bond, about a family's struggle to survive a night with a bizarre and terrible storm passing over their town. The TV movie is based on the novel by Ivy Ruckman, which centers around 1980 Grand Island tornado outbreak. It was shot in Kleinburg, Ontario.
The prologue of the movie is set in rural farmland in Dannebrog, Nebraska. Bob Irisen, a storm chaser, is driving down the road and manages to save a family from an oncoming tornado that destroys their farm.

Twister (1996 film)
Twister is a 1996 American disaster drama film starring Bill Paxton and Helen Hunt as storm chasers researching tornadoes. It was directed by Jan de Bont from a screenplay by Michael Crichton and Anne-Marie Martin. Its executive producers were Steven Spielberg, Walter Parkes, Laurie MacDonald and Gerald R. Molen. Twister was the second-highest-grossing film of 1996 domestically, with an estimated 55 million tickets sold in the US.
It is notable for being both the first Hollywood feature film to be released on DVD format and one of the last to be released on HD DVD.Twister has since been released on Blu-ray Disc.
In the film, a team of storm chasers try to perfect a data-gathering instrument, designed to be released into the funnel of a tornado, while competing with another better-funded team with a similar device during a tornado outbreak across Oklahoma. The plot is a dramatized view of research projects like VORTEX of the NOAA. The device used in the movie, called "Dorothy", is copied from the real-life TOTO, used in the 1980s by NSSL.

Night of the Twisters is a 1996 television film directed by Timothy Bond, about a family's struggle to survive a night with a bizarre and terrible storm passing over their town. The TV movie is based on the novel by Ivy Ruckman, which centers around 1980 Grand Island tornado outbreak. It was shot in Kleinburg, Ontario. The prologue of the movie is set in rural farmland in Dannebrog, Nebraska. Bob Irisen, a storm chaser, is driving down the road and manages to save a family from an oncoming tornado that destroys their farm. A simulated tornado drops from the sky, water sprinklers turn on and a tree is split in half by lightning. The tornado wrecks the drive-in screen, the diner, and the car, and causes a fireball to erupt. The roof of the observation platform also threatens to tear off. Even a cow comes flying close past the spectators. As the "storm" dies, the floor of the standing area lurches with a sudden drop, giving guests a final scare. A simulated tornado drops from the sky, water sprinklers turn on and a tree is split in half by lightning. The tornado wrecks the drive-in screen, the diner, and the car, and causes a fireball to erupt. The roof of the observation platform also threatens to tear off. Even a cow comes flying close past the spectators. As the "storm" dies, the floor of the standing area lurches with a sudden drop, giving guests a final scare. Based on the 1996 Film "Twister" with Bill Paxton and Helen Hunt. The ride is to resemble the lifelikeness of an actual F5 tornado, Universal Parks & Resorts entered talks with tornado meteorologists to discover the exact sight, sound, and feel of the experience.

Hayley Aviva Silverman presents her ninth ‘dog play’, in which a small cast of untrained dogs take on well-known characters from popular culture.
This edition combines elements from the disaster film Twister, 1996, with Charles Dickens’ Oliver Twist, interspersed with songs from the musical, Oliver!. Each dog carries a speaker that projects the internal monologue of its character, prerecorded by human actors, including Vaginal Davis. The play takes place against an apocalyptic backdrop, made in collaboration with Matthew Schrader.

Night of the Twisters is a 1996 television film directed by Timothy Bond, about a family's struggle to survive a night with a bizarre and terrible storm passing over their town. The TV movie is based on the novel by Ivy Ruckman, which centers around 1980 Grand Island tornado outbreak. It was shot in Kleinburg, Ontario. The prologue of the movie is set in rural farmland in Dannebrog, Nebraska. Bob Irisen, a storm chaser, is driving down the road and manages to save a family from an oncoming tornado that destroys their farm. A simulated tornado drops from the sky, water sprinklers turn on and a tree is split in half by lightning. The tornado wrecks the drive-in screen, the diner, and the car, and causes a fireball to erupt. The roof of the observation platform also threatens to tear off. Even a cow comes flying close past the spectators. As the "storm" dies, the floor of the standing area lurches with a sudden drop, giving guests a final scare. Based on the 1996 Film "Twister" with Bill Paxton and Helen Hunt. The ride is to resemble the lifelikeness of an actual F5 tornado, Universal Parks & Resorts entered talks with tornado meteorologists to discover the exact sight, sound, and feel of the experience.

Hayley Aviva Silverman presents her ninth ‘dog play’, in which a small cast of untrained dogs take on well-known characters from popular culture.
This edition combines elements from the disaster film Twister, 1996, with Charles Dickens’ Oliver Twist, interspersed with songs from the musical, Oliver!. Each dog carries a speaker that projects the internal monologue of its character, prerecorded by human actors, including Vaginal Davis. The play takes place against an apocalyptic backdrop, made in collaboration with Matthew Schrader.
