The Stonewall Silence have only one simple objective, to be whatever it can be.
With an appreciation for many other forms and styles of music the aim is to work around and upon a framework, not within it. Why adhere to simple convention when you can break it! However there is only one thing needed in order for this to be achieved and like so may other aspects in life that thing is time.
With The Stonewall Silence still in its infancy, they will embark upon a musical journey, one that will continually see the landscape of the project evolve, develop and mature. As together their understanding grows, those newly developed skills will be honed and refined. So you see this is their memorandum, a statement of intent, but not one that necessarily reflects what they currently are but more one of what they hope to become and the journey they intend to make.

SPIRAL KEY was formed in 2012 by David McCabe and Ken Wynne, two experienced performers and writers of rock music eager to transcend the limitations of 'musicians wanted’ adverts and covers bands. Whether it was a happy coincidence or a fated synchronicity that they met in one of those bands, the result was they discovered a common love of progressive music that led to turning years of simmering ideas and songs into the coherent whole that is SPIRAL KEY - a fully independent progressive rock/progressive metal band with symphonic overtones.
And "progressive" is the main theme, with the true meaning of the word rediscovered: it means to drive ever-onward, not just to move from the simple toward the complex, but to reveal the cerebral and visceral rewards of the perfect blend of technical ability and evocative composition. It presents an open field from which to draw direction, feel, and influence as befits all aspects of the band's artistic vision.
Their full length debut album PERFECT MACHINE, released in early 2013, consists of seven thematically involved pieces of music that move in weird and wonderful ways, allowing both musicians to express themselves in their playing, writing, and arranging alike; it is an offering that has something to say and somewhere to be. No dance-pop, four chord, singer-songwriter 'can you hear my pain' ballads, or endless passages of tired by-the-book noodling; this is far more twisted, fractured, soaring, dark, and brooding, using crushing, angular cadences and riffs, polyrhythms, and dynamics of tempo and volume. This is music for grown-ups! With a penchant and love for both music of greater complexity (anything from Borodin to Dream Theater) and eloquent songwriting (Rush, Steven Wilson, Riverside), Ken and David have combined their abilities to create words and music intended to stimulate both emotionally and intellectually. Heart-felt, brain-fed and gut-delivered; modern, electric, eclectic, layered, sensitive, subtle, searching, beautiful, and loud - PERFECT MACHINE has a destination, and is eager to get on towards it.
While the studio is the purest expression of the music, in-person performance is an integral part of the SPIRAL KEY experience. With expertise in electronics and electronica, in elements both tangible and virtual, Ken and David have built a system capable of delivering a powerful show on the road as a duo, reproducing in a live setting the full power of the album without losing the live dynamic, combining aural and visual delights that complement the instrumental pyrotechnics and vocal harmonies to complete the artist-audience connection.
A second album is already being conceived; and an EP of new songs is currently being put together and planned to be released either later this year or early next; but that's a whole other story. Watch this space!

Rhett and Link
Rhett and Link are an "Internetainer" duo consisting of Rhett James McLaughlin (born October 11, 1977) and Charles Lincoln "Link" Neal (born June 1, 1978) from North Carolina. Self-styled as "Internetainers" (a portmanteau of the words "Internet" and "entertainers"), they are known for their online viral videos and comedy songs, ten-episode TV series Rhett & Link: Commercial Kings for the Independent Film Channel, and more recently, their daily talk-show, Good Mythical Morning. In their 2008 documentary, Looking for Ms. Locklear, they chronicled their search for the first grade teacher in whose class they met for the first time.
The duo runs a number of YouTube channels including Rhett & Link, which has over 584 million views and nearly 4 million subscribers, and Good Mythical Morning, a talk-show posted on weekdays at 6:00 am EST with over 1.9 billion views and over 9 million subscribers (making it the 63rd most-subscribed YouTube channel). With 2 million subscribers, a third channel called Good Mythical MORE airs directly after Good Mythical Morning and is described as the "show after the show." Their fourth channel called EXTRAS – RhettandLink (RhettandLink4) is dedicated to uploading extras (BTSs, included sketches of Good Mythical Morning, etc.) and unedited versions of certain videos. As of November 2015, their fifth channel, RhettandLink5, is inactive, with only one (unlisted) video. There is a sixth channel, but it has no videos at all, and it is unknown whether or not it is official. They have also created Buenos y Míticos Días, a channel with content from their Good Mythical Morning channel dubbed to Spanish, with over 31 thousand subscribers.

Bio SPIRAL KEY was formed in 2012 by David McCabe and Ken Wynne, two experienced performers and writers of rock music eager to transcend the limitations of 'musicians wanted’ adverts and covers bands. Whether it was a happy coincidence or a fated synchronicity that they met in one of those bands, the result was they discovered a common love of progressive music that led to turning years of simmering ideas and songs into the coherent whole that is SPIRAL KEY - a fully independent progressive rock/progressive metal band with symphonic overtones. And "progressive" is the main theme, with the true meaning of the word rediscovered: it means to drive ever-onward, not just to move from the simple toward the complex, but to reveal the cerebral and visceral rewards of the perfect blend of technical ability and evocative composition. It presents an open field from which to draw direction, feel, and influence as befits all aspects of the band's artistic vision. Their full length debut album PERFECT MACHINE, released in early 2013, consists of seven thematically involved pieces of music that move in weird and wonderful ways, allowing both musicians to express themselves in their playing, writing, and arranging alike; it is an offering that has something to say and somewhere to be. No dance-pop, four chord, singer-songwriter 'can you hear my pain' ballads, or endless passages of tired by-the-book noodling; this is far more twisted, fractured, soaring, dark, and brooding, using crushing, angular cadences and riffs, polyrhythms, and dynamics of tempo and volume. This is music for grown-ups! With a penchant and love for both music of greater complexity (anything from Borodin to Dream Theater) and eloquent songwriting (Rush, Steven Wilson, Riverside), Ken and David have combined their abilities to create words and music intended to stimulate both emotionally and intellectually. Heart-felt, brain-fed and gut-delivered; modern, electric, eclectic, layered, sensitive, subtle, searching, beautiful, and loud - PERFECT MACHINE has a destination, and is eager to get on towards it. While the studio is the purest expression of the music, in-person performance is an integral part of the SPIRAL KEY experience. With expertise in electronics and electronica, in elements both tangible and virtual, Ken and David have built a system capable of delivering a powerful show on the road as a duo, reproducing in a live setting the full power of the album without losing the live dynamic, combining aural and visual delights that complement the instrumental pyrotechnics and vocal harmonies to complete the artist-audience connection. A second album is already being conceived; and an EP of new songs is currently being put together and planned to be released either later this year or early next; but that's a whole other story. The Stonewall Silence have only one simple objective, to be whatever it can be.
With an appreciation for many other forms and styles of music the aim is to work around and upon a framework, not within it. Why adhere to simple convention when you can break it! However there is only one thing needed in order for this to be achieved and like so may other aspects in life that thing is time.
With The Stonewall Silence still in its infancy, they will embark upon a musical journey, one that will continually see the landscape of the project evolve, develop and mature. As together their understanding grows, those newly developed skills will be honed and refined. So you see this is their memorandum, a statement of intent, but not one that necessarily reflects what they currently are but more one of what they hope to become and the journey they intend to make.
As we all know every Journey begins with that first tentative step, so with that said The Stonewall Silence are proud to introduce their first foray into the musical wilderness with their debut EP... "Divide to Conquer"

Norman Foster, one of Britain's most visionary architects, calls his design for the new Swiss Re London headquarters 'radical -- socially, technically, architecturally and spatially'. In fact, its size and shape are so radical that it is almost immediately nicknamed 'the erotic gherkin'.

SPIRAL KEY was formed in 2012 by David McCabe and Ken Wynne, two experienced performers and writers of rock music eager to transcend the limitations of 'musicians wanted’ adverts and covers bands. Whether it was a happy coincidence or a fated synchronicity that they met in one of those bands, the result was they discovered a common love of progressive music that led to turning years of simmering ideas and songs into the coherent whole that is SPIRAL KEY - a fully independent progressive rock/progressive metal band with symphonic overtones.
And "progressive" is the main theme, with the true meaning of the word rediscovered: it means to drive ever-onward, not just to move from the simple toward the complex, but to reveal the cerebral and visceral rewards of the perfect blend of technical ability and evocative composition. It presents an open field from which to draw direction, feel, and influence as befits all aspects of the band's artistic vision.
Their full length debut album PERFECT MACHINE, released in early 2013, consists of seven thematically involved pieces of music that move in weird and wonderful ways, allowing both musicians to express themselves in their playing, writing, and arranging alike; it is an offering that has something to say and somewhere to be. No dance-pop, four chord, singer-songwriter 'can you hear my pain' ballads, or endless passages of tired by-the-book noodling; this is far more twisted, fractured, soaring, dark, and brooding, using crushing, angular cadences and riffs, polyrhythms, and dynamics of tempo and volume. This is music for grown-ups! With a penchant and love for both music of greater complexity (anything from Borodin to Dream Theater) and eloquent songwriting (Rush, Steven Wilson, Riverside), Ken and David have combined their abilities to create words and music intended to stimulate both emotionally and intellectually. Heart-felt, brain-fed and gut-delivered; modern, electric, eclectic, layered, sensitive, subtle, searching, beautiful, and loud - PERFECT MACHINE has a destination, and is eager to get on towards it.
While the studio is the purest expression of the music, in-person performance is an integral part of the SPIRAL KEY experience. With expertise in electronics and electronica, in elements both tangible and virtual, Ken and David have built a system capable of delivering a powerful show on the road as a duo, reproducing in a live setting the full power of the album without losing the live dynamic, combining aural and visual delights that complement the instrumental pyrotechnics and vocal harmonies to complete the artist-audience connection.
A second album is already being conceived; and an EP of new songs is currently being put together and planned to be released either later this year or early next; but that's a whole other story. Watch this space!

The Stonewall Silence have only one simple objective, to be whatever it can be.
With an appreciation for many other forms and styles of music the aim is to work around and upon a framework, not within it. Why adhere to simple convention when you can break it! However there is only one thing needed in order for this to be achieved and like so may other aspects in life that thing is time.
With The Stonewall Silence still in its infancy, they will embark upon a musical journey, one that will continually see the landscape of the project evolve, develop and mature. As together their understanding grows, those newly developed skills will be honed and refined. So you see this is their memorandum, a statement of intent, but not one that necessarily reflects what they currently are but more one of what they hope to become and the journey they intend to make.
As we all know every Journey begins with that first tentative step, so with that said The Stonewall Silence are proud to introduce their first foray into the musical wilderness with their debut EP... "Divide to Conquer"

SPIRAL KEY was formed in 2012 by David McCabe and Ken Wynne, two experienced performers and writers of rock music eager to transcend the limitations of 'musicians wanted’ adverts and covers bands. Whether it was a happy coincidence or a fated synchronicity that they met in one of those bands, the result was they discovered a common love of progressive music that led to turning years of simmering ideas and songs into the coherent whole that is SPIRAL KEY - a fully independent progressive rock/progressive metal band with symphonic overtones.
And "progressive" is the main theme, with the true meaning of the word rediscovered: it means to drive ever-onward, not just to move from the simple toward the complex, but to reveal the cerebral and visceral rewards of the perfect blend of technical ability and evocative composition. It presents an open field from which to draw direction, feel, and influence as befits all aspects of the band's artistic vision.
Their full length debut album PERFECT MACHINE, released in early 2013, consists of seven thematically involved pieces of music that move in weird and wonderful ways, allowing both musicians to express themselves in their playing, writing, and arranging alike; it is an offering that has something to say and somewhere to be. No dance-pop, four chord, singer-songwriter 'can you hear my pain' ballads, or endless passages of tired by-the-book noodling; this is far more twisted, fractured, soaring, dark, and brooding, using crushing, angular cadences and riffs, polyrhythms, and dynamics of tempo and volume. This is music for grown-ups! With a penchant and love for both music of greater complexity (anything from Borodin to Dream Theater) and eloquent songwriting (Rush, Steven Wilson, Riverside), Ken and David have combined their abilities to create words and music intended to stimulate both emotionally and intellectually. Heart-felt, brain-fed and gut-delivered; modern, electric, eclectic, layered, sensitive, subtle, searching, beautiful, and loud - PERFECT MACHINE has a destination, and is eager to get on towards it.
While the studio is the purest expression of the music, in-person performance is an integral part of the SPIRAL KEY experience. With expertise in electronics and electronica, in elements both tangible and virtual, Ken and David have built a system capable of delivering a powerful show on the road as a duo, reproducing in a live setting the full power of the album without losing the live dynamic, combining aural and visual delights that complement the instrumental pyrotechnics and vocal harmonies to complete the artist-audience connection.
A second album is already being conceived; and an EP of new songs is currently being put together and planned to be released either later this year or early next; but that's a whole other story. Watch this space!

SPIRAL KEY was formed in 2012 by David McCabe and Ken Wynne, two experienced performers and writers of rock music eager to transcend the limitations of 'musicians wanted’ adverts and covers bands. Whether it was a happy coincidence or a fated synchronicity that they met in one of those bands, the result was they discovered a common love of progressive music that led to turning years of simmering ideas and songs into the coherent whole that is SPIRAL KEY - a fully independent progressive rock/progressive metal band with symphonic overtones.
And "progressive" is the main theme, with the true meaning of the word rediscovered: it means to drive ever-onward, not just to move from the simple toward the complex, but to reveal the cerebral and visceral rewards of the perfect blend of technical ability and evocative composition. It presents an open field from which to draw direction, feel, and influence as befits all aspects of the band's artistic vision.
Their full length debut album PERFECT MACHINE, released in early 2013, consists of seven thematically involved pieces of music that move in weird and wonderful ways, allowing both musicians to express themselves in their playing, writing, and arranging alike; it is an offering that has something to say and somewhere to be. No dance-pop, four chord, singer-songwriter 'can you hear my pain' ballads, or endless passages of tired by-the-book noodling; this is far more twisted, fractured, soaring, dark, and brooding, using crushing, angular cadences and riffs, polyrhythms, and dynamics of tempo and volume. This is music for grown-ups! With a penchant and love for both music of greater complexity (anything from Borodin to Dream Theater) and eloquent songwriting (Rush, Steven Wilson, Riverside), Ken and David have combined their abilities to create words and music intended to stimulate both emotionally and intellectually. Heart-felt, brain-fed and gut-delivered; modern, electric, eclectic, layered, sensitive, subtle, searching, beautiful, and loud - PERFECT MACHINE has a destination, and is eager to get on towards it.
While the studio is the purest expression of the music, in-person performance is an integral part of the SPIRAL KEY experience. With expertise in electronics and electronica, in elements both tangible and virtual, Ken and David have built a system capable of delivering a powerful show on the road as a duo, reproducing in a live setting the full power of the album without losing the live dynamic, combining aural and visual delights that complement the instrumental pyrotechnics and vocal harmonies to complete the artist-audience connection.
A second album is already being conceived; and an EP of new songs is currently being put together and planned to be released either later this year or early next; but that's a whole other story. Watch this space!

While on the quest for the next ring in Victorian London, Polly has all the previous ones stolen from her by a thief who has the nasty habit of being able to seemingly vanish into thin air while making his escape. Going off on a bit of a tangent, I recently dug out my T-Bag Reunion DVD (https://www.amazon.co.uk/T-BAG-THE-REUNION-DOCUMENTARY-DVD/dp/B004DLQ8I0 - still just about available and recommended) for the first time since goodness knows when, and it's very telling that everyone involved in this Rings of Olympus series said just how much they enjoyed making it, thanks to the change of director. The late Leon Thau had been in charge for the first six series, and it seems like absolutely no-one saw eye-to-eye with him on anything, be they actor, writer, or anybody within five miles. When series seven came along, Tiswas producer Glyn Edwards was drafted in, and suddenly everything was fun. It was like some sort of release, apparently, and watching these shows with that knowledge in mind, it's easy to see that the tone of the series changed. Of course, the fans love the early years just as much, but by all accounts, those ones could have been so much better if not for interference from on high. Quite a thought, that.
One other thing that struck me about that DVD is that I don't think Natalie Wood - the actress who played Polly in this series - was mentioned in the main documentary at all. I'm not sure there was even a picture shown of her at any point. I absolutely accept that most of the other young questors were better than her (actually, they all were), but it seemed a little unusual.
Anyway, this episode sees guest appearances from Ken Wynne and Jo Warne. Ken's impressive IMDB goes all the way back to 1948, featuring a varied CV including the likes of Porridge, Auf Wiedersehen, Pet, The Bill, Reginald Perrin, Dixon of Dock Green, and Up the Chastity Belt. Jo, meanwhile, is making her third T-Bag appearance out of four here, and you may know her as Mrs Bobbins in Bodger and Badger or Mrs Corrigan in Grange Hill. Or, get this: she was the original Peggy Mitchell in EastEnders, before the part was recast years later in favour of Barbara Windsor. Meanwhile, Jo's earliest IMDB entry is on The Dick Emery Show in 1970 - I dread to think what they had her doing in that!
One character aspect I like about this one is that it firmly establishes that T-Shirt simply isn't cut out for evil. I also like the fact that his comedy hammer makes a comeback. Some of the dialogue is absolutely hilarious, and the meta joke of T-Shirt insisting quite a few times in a row that people can't just disappear, before blinking himself elsewhere twice in quick succession, is played brilliantly.
Look out for a teensy bit of Children's ITV continuity with Scally at the end.

While on the quest for the next ring in Victorian London, Polly has all the previous ones stolen from her by a thief who has the nasty habit of being able to seemingly vanish into thin air while making his escape. Can she find his secret hideout and get them back, or will T-Bag and T-Shirt get there first? This episode was first broadcast on Monday, 18th February, 1991.
Going off on a bit of a tangent, I recently dug out my T-Bag Reunion DVD (https://www.amazon.co.uk/T-BAG-THE-REUNION-DOCUMENTARY-DVD/dp/B004DLQ8I0 - still just about available and recommended) for the first time since goodness knows when, and it's very telling that everyone involved in this Rings of Olympus series said just how much they enjoyed making it, thanks to the change of director. The late Leon Thau had been in charge for the first six series, and it seems like absolutely no-one saw eye-to-eye with him on anything, be they actor, writer, or anybody within five miles. When series seven came along, Tiswas producer Glyn Edwards was drafted in, and suddenly everything was fun. It was like some sort of release, apparently, and watching these shows with that knowledge in mind, it's easy to see that the tone of the series changed. Of course, the fans love the early years just as much, but by all accounts, those ones could have been so much better if not for interference from on high. Quite a thought, that.
One other thing that struck me about that DVD is that I don't think Natalie Wood - the actress who played Polly in this series - was mentioned in the main documentary at all. I'm not sure there was even a picture shown of her at any point. I absolutely accept that most of the other young questors were better than her (actually, they all were), but it seemed a little unusual.
Anyway, this episode sees guest appearances from Ken Wynne and Jo Warne. Ken's impressive IMDB goes all the way back to 1948, featuring a varied CV including the likes of Porridge, Auf Wiedersehen, Pet, The Bill, Reginald Perrin, Dixon of Dock Green, and Up the Chastity Belt. Jo, meanwhile, is making her third T-Bag appearance out of four here, and you may know her as Mrs Bobbins in Bodger and Badger or Mrs Corrigan in Grange Hill. Or, get this: she was the original Peggy Mitchell in EastEnders, before the part was recast years later in favour of Barbara Windsor. Meanwhile, Jo's earliest IMDB entry is on The Dick Emery Show in 1970 - I dread to think what they had her doing in that!
One character aspect I like about this one is that it firmly establishes that T-Shirt simply isn't cut out for evil. I also like the fact that his comedy hammer makes a comeback. Some of the dialogue is absolutely hilarious, and the meta joke of T-Shirt insisting quite a few times in a row that people can't just disappear, before blinking himself elsewhere twice in quick succession, is played brilliantly.
Look out for a teensy bit of Children's ITV continuity with Scally at the end.
