In Downers Grove, Illinois there are TONS of Cotton Wood trees that put out tons of stuff like SNOW. It gathers along edges of sidewalks, streets, driveways, etc. It also is very flammable. I would not recommend this unless you have parental guidance.

7. Castor-Oil-Plant
The seed this plant produces is incredibly useful. Called a castor bean, despite not being a bean which is weird but whatever, it's often used to make necklaces and bracelets. The bean is also used to make castor oil, which is an effective motor lubricant, especially in internal combustion engines and two stroke engines. Castor oil is used in manufacturing all kinds of things from soaps to plastics to perfumes. However the bean also contains ricin (ricein), a highly toxic protein. A dose of pure ricin powder the size of a few grains of salt is enough to kill an adult human. If left untreated death will occur in no more than five days. Poisoning only happens when an animal or person ingests broken seeds because whole seeds can pass through the digestive tract without releasing the toxin.
6. White Snakeroot
Remarkably, this dangerous plant has had a huge effect on the history of human beings, specifically European immigrants who migrated through North American in the early 19th century. You see, this plant, which grows throughout the Midwest and Upper South of North America contains the toxin tremetol. When consumed by cattle their meat and milk become contaminated with tremetol. So when humans eat that meat or drink that milk, they can in turn become poisoned. Thousand of those immigrants who hadn’t been exposed to white snakeroot died of milk sickness when they first settled in the plant’s native areas, most notably Nancy Hanks Lincoln, the mother of Abraham Lincoln.
5. Manchineel (man chuh neel)
Its leaves and, more importantly fruit, resemble that of an apple tree. This is very important to know because the fruit of the manchineel is very poisonous. As a matter of fact all parts of the tree contain toxins, some of which remain unidentified. If someone were to stand under the tree while it was raining, their skin would blister, which is probably why people put this warning sign on this Manchineel in Florida. Burning the tree could cause ocular injuries if any smoke were to blow into someone’s eyes. When you eat a manchineel apple, which is referred to as the little apple of death you won’t realize at first because it has a pleasantly sweet taste. But it won’t take long before a peppery feeling begins to take over. That leads to a burning, tearing sensation and tightness in the throat. Yikes.
4. Angel’s Trumpets
All parts of these flowering plants, also called brugmansia (broog man sia) are dangerous, but it's the seeds and leaves that you really have to avoid. Despite their dangerous nature Angel’s Trumpets have some pretty incredible medical benefits. They have anti-asthmatic, anticholinergic (anti kohlernurjik), narcotic and anesthetic properties. Indigenous South American cultures often use brugmansia in medical preparations and during spiritual ceremonies. There are seven species of Brugmansia, all of which are considered extinct in the wild. Today they are most commonly grown as a flowering, ornamental plant.

Amongst common garden plants, oleander is one of the most poisonous. A vigorous grower in warm, subtropical regions, you can find it as an ornamental plant practically everywhere, in private gardens, parks, and along roads. Oleander is considered poisonous, though only a few events have been recorded involving humans and you would have to consume a lot of it to have any ill effects.
2. Water Hemlock
Water hemlock grows in temperate regions around the Northern Hemisphere. It’s extremely poisonous to humans, so, of course it bears a striking resemblance and is easy to confuse with a number of edible, harmless plants. It contains a toxin that, when ingested affects the central nervous system and causes seizures. Fatalities from eating the plant have been reported from as far back as 1670, and continue to this day.

What is it?

Where is it located?

How will it kill you?

If left untreated, additional symptoms will occur including severe dehydration, a drop in blood pressure, and a decrease in urine, with eventual death.
How to survive:
While no antidote currently exists for ricin poisoning, supportive medical care must be given immediately in order to get the ricin out of the body as fast as possible. Medical care includes helping victims breathe, giving them intravenous fluids, giving medications to treat their low blood pressure, and flushing their stomachs with activated charcoal.
So how long do you have to survive after ingesting castor seeds?
While the painful symptoms can appear in just a couple of hours, you have 3-6 days to get treated before death will occur.

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds
Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds are an Australian alternative rock band that was formed in Melbourne in 1983 by lead singer Nick Cave, multi-instrumentalist Mick Harvey and guitarist Blixa Bargeld. The band has featured international personnel throughout its career and presently consists of Cave, violinist and multi-instrumentalist Warren Ellis, bassist Martyn P. Casey and keyboardist Conway Savage (all four from Australia), keyboard/percussion player Barry Adamson and guitarist George Vjestica (both from the United Kingdom), and drummers Thomas Wydler (Switzerland) and Jim Sclavunos (United States). The band has released fifteen studio albums and completed numerous international tours.

Nick Cave
Nicholas Edward "Nick" Cave (born 22 September 1957) is an Australian musician, songwriter, author, screenwriter, composer and occasional film actor. He is best known as the frontman of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, established in 1983, a group known for its diverse output and ever-evolving line-up. Prior to this, he fronted the Birthday Party, one of the most extreme and confrontational post-punk bands of the early 1980s. In 2006, he formed the garage rock band Grinderman, releasing its debut album the following year.

The castor oil plant is a suckering perennial shrub with glossy leaves differing in color from green to a purple or reddish brown tint. Its flowers are carried in spikes up to 15 cm (5.9 in) long, while its fruit is a spiny capsule containing an oval, bean-like seed. Where is it located? Castor is indigenous to India, the southeastern Mediterranean Basin, and East Africa, but is widespread throughout tropical regions. It's also widely grown elsewhere as an ornamental plant. How will it kill you? While the oil has many uses in medicine, cosmetics, and even jewelry, its seed is highly poisonous. It produces a highly toxic and deadly chemical known as ricin, which you may have seen in the popular TV show Breaking Bad. Once ingested, symptoms usually begin within 2-4 hours. They include a burning sensation in the mouth and throat, intense abdominal pain, and bloody diarrhea. 7. Castor-Oil-Plant
The seed this plant produces is incredibly useful. Called a castor bean, despite not being a bean which is weird but whatever, it's often used to make necklaces and bracelets. The bean is also used to make castor oil, which is an effective motor lubricant, especially in internal combustion engines and two stroke engines. Castor oil is used in manufacturing all kinds of things from soaps to plastics to perfumes. However the bean also contains ricin (ricein), a highly toxic protein. A dose of pure ricin powder the size of a few grains of salt is enough to kill an adult human. If left untreated death will occur in no more than five days. Poisoning only happens when an animal or person ingests broken seeds because whole seeds can pass through the digestive tract without releasing the toxin.
6. White Snakeroot
Remarkably, this dangerous plant has had a huge effect on the history of human beings, specifically European immigrants who migrated through North American in the early 19th century. You see, this plant, which grows throughout the Midwest and Upper South of North America contains the toxin tremetol. When consumed by cattle their meat and milk become contaminated with tremetol. So when humans eat that meat or drink that milk, they can in turn become poisoned. Thousand of those immigrants who hadn’t been exposed to white snakeroot died of milk sickness when they first settled in the plant’s native areas, most notably Nancy Hanks Lincoln, the mother of Abraham Lincoln.
5. Manchineel (man chuh neel)
Its leaves and, more importantly fruit, resemble that of an apple tree. This is very important to know because the fruit of the manchineel is very poisonous. As a matter of fact all parts of the tree contain toxins, some of which remain unidentified. If someone were to stand under the tree while it was raining, their skin would blister, which is probably why people put this warning sign on this Manchineel in Florida. Burning the tree could cause ocular injuries if any smoke were to blow into someone’s eyes. When you eat a manchineel apple, which is referred to as the little apple of death you won’t realize at first because it has a pleasantly sweet taste. But it won’t take long before a peppery feeling begins to take over. That leads to a burning, tearing sensation and tightness in the throat. Yikes.
4. Angel’s Trumpets
All parts of these flowering plants, also called brugmansia (broog man sia) are dangerous, but it's the seeds and leaves that you really have to avoid. Despite their dangerous nature Angel’s Trumpets have some pretty incredible medical benefits. They have anti-asthmatic, anticholinergic (anti kohlernurjik), narcotic and anesthetic properties. Indigenous South American cultures often use brugmansia in medical preparations and during spiritual ceremonies. There are seven species of Brugmansia, all of which are considered extinct in the wild. Today they are most commonly grown as a flowering, ornamental plant.
3. Oleander
Amongst common garden plants, oleander is one of the most poisonous. A vigorous grower in warm, subtropical regions, you can find it as an ornamental plant practically everywhere, in private gardens, parks, and along roads. Oleander is considered poisonous, though only a few events have been recorded involving humans and you would have to consume a lot of it to have any ill effects.
2. Water Hemlock
Water hemlock grows in temperate regions around the Northern Hemisphere. It’s extremely poisonous to humans, so, of course it bears a striking resemblance and is easy to confuse with a number of edible, harmless plants. It contains a toxin that, when ingested affects the central nervous system and causes seizures. Fatalities from eating the plant have been reported from as far back as 1670, and continue to this day.

The castor oil plant is a suckering perennial shrub with glossy leaves differing in color from green to a purple or reddish brown tint. Its flowers are carried in spikes up to 15 cm (5.9 in) long, while its fruit is a spiny capsule containing an oval, bean-like seed.
Where is it located?
Castor is indigenous to India, the southeastern Mediterranean Basin, and East Africa, but is widespread throughout tropical regions. It's also widely grown elsewhere as an ornamental plant.
How will it kill you?
While the oil has many uses in medicine, cosmetics, and even jewelry, its seed is highly poisonous. It produces a highly toxic and deadly chemical known as ricin, which you may have seen in the popular TV show Breaking Bad. Once ingested, symptoms usually begin within 2-4 hours. They include a burning sensation in the mouth and throat, intense abdominal pain, and bloody diarrhea. If left untreated, additional symptoms will occur including severe dehydration, a drop in blood pressure, and a decrease in urine, with eventual death.
How to survive:
While no antidote currently exists for ricin poisoning, supportive medical care must be given immediately in order to get the ricin out of the body as fast as possible. Medical care includes helping victims breathe, giving them intravenous fluids, giving medications to treat their low blood pressure, and flushing their stomachs with activated charcoal.
So how long do you have to survive after ingesting castor seeds?
While the painful symptoms can appear in just a couple of hours, you have 3-6 days to get treated before death will occur.

1. Raw Egg
The solution for a thriving plant may be as simple as planting a raw egg. As you prepare your pots with soil, simply include a single raw egg at the bottom. Over time, the egg will decompose and works as a natural fertilizer for the seedlings.
You can also use crushed eggshells which work just as good as whole egg.
Eggshell has calcium, nitrogen and phosphoric acid which make them an ideal choice for garden use.
So next time you boil or fry an egg don’t throw away the egg shell but instead

4. Leaves
Allowing leaves to rot over a garden during winter will provide nutrients for the soil to prepare it for the next growing season. The leaves work to pull the organic matter back down into the soil making it dark and rich.
5. Epsom Salt
Epsom salts are especially good for soil. Low pH levels are usually an indication of a magnesium imbalance. To boost pH levels in the soil, dilute Epsom salt with water and spray on the plants. The vegetation will soak up the welcomed nutrients.
6.Use Compost Regularly
While using bits and pieces of natural matter can be helpful, combining many pieces of compost will only go one step further toward enriching your soil.
There are a number of benefits of using natural compost regularly
it works to improve the soil structure while using less water and warding off common plant diseases. The soil benefits from added layers of nutrients, especially before a growing season.

In today's morning Satsang, Paramahamsa Nithyananda details the importance of completing all aspects of our root pattern. In addition to pulling a tree out from the ground, we need to burn the ground, making sure the roots can't re-sprout again. In the same way, once we complete with our root pattern, we still need to burn our consciousness so that the root pattern cannot come back to life, negatively affecting us again. This powerful process is called Complete Completion. Through Complete Completion, we experience the Ultimate -- the Divine, God, Mahadeva!

Today, in the Inner Awakening, we are going to be working on "Complete Completion".
Please understand, just by removing a tree completely, just by uprooting a tree, you cannot be safe that nothing else will grow in that place or that tree won't happen again in that place. No! You need to understand a very important thing. You just see here outside, on the ground where Nithyananda Sabha is going to be built, there were hundreds of Neem trees. We uprooted all of them and cleared the land. But go and see; at least fifty Neem trees are again back! Even if you uproot the tree, the essence of the tree stays in the ground. So, when the water comes, and the Sun comes, the tree starts happening again. There are some trees, you don't need a full tree for that tree to happen; just the essence of that tree is enough in the mud; it will grow! There is a herb; just the essence of that herb is enough; it will grow! Same way, just removing your root-pattern is not going to completely liberate you. How to stop the tree from happening again? How to make sure the tree will not happen again? How to make sure the tree is not going to sprout again? Burning, boiling the very root, the very land, so that the root can never sprout. Same way, burning your consciousness, purifying to the root from where even the root-patterns cannot grow; that is what I call "Complete Completion". "Manonmaniya Vidya" in Sanskrit we call it. "Mana Unmana" -- "Awakening the Inner Space". Awakening the inner-space -- "Mana Unmana". Please listen, awakening the inner-space. With this process of Complete Completion, we make sure that even if there is a smell or the essence of the root-patterns existing in the ground, in the soil, it does not sprout again, it does not grow again.
Mahadevi, Rajarajeshwari is gracing us on the fourth day of the Brahmotsavam as the Manonmani. Fourth day today, it is the Rajarajeshwari Brahmotsavam. Devi is gracing us on the Suvarna Gaja Vahana, Golden Elephant Vahana and gracing as Manonmani.
Manonmani, please understand, "Mana Unmana". "Unmana" means "awakening". "Mana" means "inner space". The Complete Completion awakens your inner-space completely and does not allow any leftover, unattended roots of the root-patterns. For a Neem tree to happen again, one inch old root is enough. Please understand, just if an inch-length old root is left without being removed, the tree will happen again; you don't need a seed! For a Banyan tree to happen again, just a three inch root if it is left without being removed from the land, that is enough; it will happen again; you don't need a seed! For your root-patterns to grow again, you don't need to leave three inch or one inch; just if you go back and see the same people, it is enough! If you see the same people who are responsible for your root-pattern, that is enough! Understand, the Complete Completion is like ensuring the safety, ensuring the spiritual protection.
Today, in the Inner Awakening program, we are going to be doing the process for Complete Completion. See, with the Complete Completion, the liberated thinking starts in your system. "Liberated Thinking" means, awakening all the powers for which your body is built. Please understand, there are some people who have the latest, best cell-phones, but they don't even know how to send an SMS! They can only switch on, speak, switch off and keep it. For that you don't need the best, latest-model seven-thousand rupees, eight-thousand rupees cell-phone. Just eight-hundred rupees, nine-hundred rupees cell-phone is enough. Having the best, updated, seven to eight-thousand rupees cell-phone, but not knowing how to use all the facilities in it, just you pick up, speak, and leave it back, this is what most of us are doing with our body! Our body is basically hard-wired, our brain is hard-wired, the system is developed to experience so many extraordinary powers. Understand, you are not built just to be a Clerk, just to be an Attendant, or just to be a worker. Your being is basically built in to experience God, to experience the divine, to experience the Ultimate, to experience Complete Completion, to experience Mahadeva! Understand, your body is basically built for experiencing many extraordinary things.

apple breeding starts with pollinating one variety with another. Once the apples grow into fruits, the seeds are collected and kept cold for a couple of months before planting. I grow the apple seedlings for a season before grafting them onto a dwarfing rootstock which should induce earlier fruiting and keeps the size of the tree small.
I usually use whip and tongue and cleft grafts, depending on the size of the stock and scion. If the stock is much larger than the scion, I usually use a cleft graft. The stock and scion are the same, I always use a whip and tongue graft.
I like to paint the entire scion with grafting paint to help seal in moisture while the graft union heals. Some of my scions are already pushing new leaves out. If I see any green or the buds are expanding a lot, I'll cut them short and leave only a few dormant buds if I can find any.

Summer 2006: Peter Jackson, a meteorologist in Prince George B.C., couldn't believe what he was seeing on his radar screen. It was like a rainstorm, but thicker, and it was
crossing east over the Rocky Mountains. It looked like little insect swarms, except
insects had never been seen at such high altitudes before. Farmers on the eastern slope
of the Rockies described huge clouds of insects. They could hear them pinging off their
steel roofs. The swarms were so dense they gummed up the windshield wipers on the farmers' vehicles.
This was this first attack of the Mountain Pine Beetle east of the Rocky Mountains... the
year when the unthinkable actually happened: carried along by the prevailing winds,
trillions of Mountain Pine Beetles crossed the Rocky Mountains from BC into Alberta. Now, the great Northern Boreal Forest, one of the world's richest ecosystems and one of its greatest carbon sinks, was face to face with a grave threat - a plague of insects, each
the size of a grain of rice.
In British Columbia, the damage done by this hungry little creature was already well
known. In the interior of B.C. people called it 'The Lodgepole Tsunami.' In a period of
fewer than 10 years, swarms of Mountain Pine Beetles ate their way through 18 million
hectares of Lodgepole Pine forest, an area the size of Nova Scotia and New Brunswick
combined. The ecological and economic cost has been staggering.
But the Mountain Pine Beetle is NOT an invasive species. It has lived with and co-evolved with the Lodgepole Pine for millennia. Like natural forest fires, the pine beetle is a critical actor in the natural cycle of forest regeneration. Every 25 years or so, in a
period of warm winters and warm, dry summers, the beetle's population would spike. Then they would attack, taking out over-mature trees, thus thinning the canopy to make way for younger tree growth. These outbreaks would last a year or two, then the normal weather patterns would prevail and an early cold snap or a stretch of cold winter weather would bring the population back under control.
But, in this outbreak, the beetle population in BC grew massively for a decade and
devastated the province's forests. So what was it that unleashed this terrible force of
nature? The culprit is climate change. In its natural range, there is no longer the cold
weather brake that has kept the Beetle's population under control. Now that the population has exploded, there's no telling where it will stop. For the first time, the eastward march across Canada of this seemingly unstoppable beetle invasion is now perceived as inevitable, especially since the beetle has no natural enemies, nor has man found any way to kill it.
The pine dominant Northern Boreal Forest, stretching all the way to the Atlantic, is now
under threat, with ominous ramifications for our travel and tourism, as well as our
forestry industries. Without our pine forests, long a symbol of the Canadian landscape and identity, the result will be a Canada we no longer recognise.

According to research from Oregon State University, the lodgepole pine could almost disappear from the Pacific Northwest by 2080. The beetles unstoppable advance is now poised to attack the jack pine, a close relative to the lodgepole pine, found in the boreal forest, the massive northern eco-region that stretches from Alaska to Newfoundland.
More ominously, the Alberta Forest Genetic Resources Council believes that Canada's boreal forest which has evolved for thousands of years will be vastly different in the short time period of one century - or less.

Summer 2006: Peter Jackson, a meteorologist in Prince George B.C., couldn't believe what he was seeing on his radar screen. It was like a rainstorm, but thicker, and it was
crossing east over the Rocky Mountains. It looked like little insect swarms, except
insects had never been seen at such high altitudes before. Farmers on the eastern slope
of the Rockies described huge clouds of insects. They could hear them pinging off their
steel roofs. The swarms were so dense they gummed up the windshield wipers on the farmers' vehicles.
This was this first attack of the Mountain Pine Beetle east of the Rocky Mountains... the
year when the unthinkable actually happened: carried along by the prevailing winds,
trillions of Mountain Pine Beetles crossed the Rocky Mountains from BC into Alberta. Now, the great Northern Boreal Forest, one of the world's richest ecosystems and one of its greatest carbon sinks, was face to face with a grave threat - a plague of insects, each
the size of a grain of rice.
In British Columbia, the damage done by this hungry little creature was already well
known. In the interior of B.C. people called it 'The Lodgepole Tsunami.' In a period of
fewer than 10 years, swarms of Mountain Pine Beetles ate their way through 18 million
hectares of Lodgepole Pine forest, an area the size of Nova Scotia and New Brunswick
combined. The ecological and economic cost has been staggering.
But the Mountain Pine Beetle is NOT an invasive species. It has lived with and co-evolved with the Lodgepole Pine for millennia. Like natural forest fires, the pine beetle is a critical actor in the natural cycle of forest regeneration. Every 25 years or so, in a
period of warm winters and warm, dry summers, the beetle's population would spike. Then they would attack, taking out over-mature trees, thus thinning the canopy to make way for younger tree growth. These outbreaks would last a year or two, then the normal weather patterns would prevail and an early cold snap or a stretch of cold winter weather would bring the population back under control.
But, in this outbreak, the beetle population in BC grew massively for a decade and
devastated the province's forests. So what was it that unleashed this terrible force of
nature? The culprit is climate change. In its natural range, there is no longer the cold
weather brake that has kept the Beetle's population under control. Now that the population has exploded, there's no telling where it will stop. For the first time, the eastward march across Canada of this seemingly unstoppable beetle invasion is now perceived as inevitable, especially since the beetle has no natural enemies, nor has man found any way to kill it.
The pine dominant Northern Boreal Forest, stretching all the way to the Atlantic, is now
under threat, with ominous ramifications for our travel and tourism, as well as our
forestry industries. Without our pine forests, long a symbol of the Canadian landscape and identity, the result will be a Canada we no longer recognise.

Karma is the fruit that comes from the seeds we sow. If the seeds are good, we get good fruit.One seed will make a whole tree full of fruits. If the seeds are bad, we get weeds instead. If you have done bad karmas in life, you need to chant this mantra to clean the garden of weeds to make space for new seeds to be put in for good fruits. Can you change your karma? Yes. You cannot stop karma but you can change the direction of your karma. Anything you did in your past can be “undone” by doing good now. You have reaped what you sowed. You created your own destiny, now you can recreate it.

Regret is the starting point. Feeling bad about what you did sends a signal to the universe. You must really mean what you say. It’s about learning through compassion. That comes from very carefully imagining how others feel. You are saying that you understand your past actions were wrong. You have awareness. This is the beginning. You have started to undo what you did.
Sometimes, you have to experience what you have done to others. No matter how bad you have been, you can always begin again. You can only erase bad karma with regret, then practicing kindness and love. There is no other way.
If you ever harmed anyone, ask them for forgiveness. Their forgiveness will dissolve any bad karma and turn it into good karma.
The effects of karma are sometimes immediate and in other cases there is a delay. There will always be an effect, no matter how long the delay. The consequences of your actions good or bad may even follow you into the next life.

● Added new craftable item: EnergyMix+. Craft with 1 coneflower, 1 chicory and 1 aloe
● Eating marigold now gives 5% fullness (same as other plants) and plays eating sound when used
● New craftable item: Stick Bag. Combine 2 ropes, 3 cloth and 1 rabbit skin. Increases stick carry capacity by 10
● New craftable item: Rock Bag. Combine 3 ropes, 1 cloth and 3 rabbit skin. Increases rock carry capacity by 5

By default it tries to guess what mode is desired and toggles between manual and auto fill depending on ghost touching terrain or a player made structure, holding the "Craft" button (C by default) allows to toggle between modes manually. After doing so it no longer switches mode automatically until a new wall is being made

What is The Forest?
The Forest is an open world survival horror game currently in development for PC. - Build, explore, survive in this terrifying first person survival horror simulator. The world - Enter a living, breathing forest with changing weather patterns, plants that grow and die. Tides that roll in and out with the day/night cycle. Below ground explore a vast network of caves and underground lakes.
Complete player freedom - Chop down trees to build a camp, or start a fire to keep warm. Scavenge food to keep yourself from starving. Find and plant seeds to grow food. Build a small shelter or a large ocean side fortress. decorate your home with found items. Lay traps and defenses to keep a safe perimeter.
Gameplay - Explore and build during the day. Defend your base at night. Craft weapons and tools.Bunker down during the evening or bring the fight directly to the enemy. Use stealth to evade enemies, or engage them directly with crude weapons built from sticks and stones.

● Added new craftable item: EnergyMix+. Craft with 1 coneflower, 1 chicory and 1 aloe
● Eating marigold now gives 5% fullness (same as other plants) and plays eating sound when used
● New craftable item: Stick Bag. Combine 2 ropes, 3 cloth and 1 rabbit skin. Increases stick carry capacity by 10
● New craftable item: Rock Bag. Combine 3 ropes, 1 cloth and 3 rabbit skin. Increases rock carry capacity by 5
● We’ve added the ability for them to attempt to eat food from drying racks, or if there is no more food hanging to destroy these racks.
● Unlit molotov thrown at lit fires now fuel it (but still doesn't light unlit ones)
● Fixed logs thrown into the sinkhole staying floating mid air, they now properly go all the way down !
● Increased chance of enemies dodging thrown molotovs and other projectiles
● Revamped procedural wall auto fill: in the same fashion as floors & roofs, walls now show a preview of the result of "auto fill" feature. By default it tries to guess what mode is desired and toggles between manual and auto fill depending on ghost touching terrain or a player made structure, holding the "Craft" button (C by default) allows to toggle between modes manually. After doing so it no longer switches mode automatically until a new wall is being made

What is The Forest?
The Forest is an open world survival horror game currently in development for PC. - Build, explore, survive in this terrifying first person survival horror simulator. The world - Enter a living, breathing forest with changing weather patterns, plants that grow and die. Tides that roll in and out with the day/night cycle. Below ground explore a vast network of caves and underground lakes.
Complete player freedom - Chop down trees to build a camp, or start a fire to keep warm. Scavenge food to keep yourself from starving. Find and plant seeds to grow food. Build a small shelter or a large ocean side fortress. decorate your home with found items. Lay traps and defenses to keep a safe perimeter.
Gameplay - Explore and build during the day. Defend your base at night. Craft weapons and tools.Bunker down during the evening or bring the fight directly to the enemy. Use stealth to evade enemies, or engage them directly with crude weapons built from sticks and stones.
A new type of open world, survival horror experience, Defend yourself against a clan of genetic mutant enemies that have beliefs, families and morals and that appear almost human.
