This 53 CD set is an outstanding collection of inspirational talks that introduces the life of
Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu 'alayhi wa Sallam), the greatest human being to walk the face of the earth. In these talks,
Imam Anwar al-Awlaki (Rahimahullaah), author of the best selling series, "
The Lives of the Prophets", eloquently presents the
Prophet's life in a detailed manner, deriving valuable lessons from it and thus making it relevant to our modern times. The series is primarily based on
Ibn Kathir's book on the
Seerah. Some of the topics discussed include: The
History of the
Ka'bah,
Muhammad in the Bible,
The Call to
Near Kin, The Islaam of
Hamzah, The Year of
Grief,
Lessons from the
Trip to at-Taif, all important events of the Hijrah, the establishment of the first
Islamic State, the battle of
Badr, the
Battle of 'Uhud, the battle of the Trench, the important events of the truce of
Hudaybiyyah, the battle of
Khaibar, the battle of Mu'tah, the conquest of
Makkah, the battle of Hunain, the battle of
Tabuk and finally the passing away of the seal of the
Prophets - Muhammad ibn 'Abdullah (Sallallaahu 'alayhi wa Sallam) - and much, much more!
{He it is Who has sent His
Messenger (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) with guidance and the religion of truth (Islaam), that He may make it (Islaam) superior to all religions. And All-Sufficient is Allaah as a
Witness.
Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) is the Messenger of Allaah. And those who are with him are severe against disbelievers, and merciful among themselves. You see them bowing and falling down prostrate (in prayer), seeking
Bounty from Allaah and (His)
Good Pleasure. The mark of them (i.e. of their
Faith) is on their faces (foreheads) from the traces of prostration (during prayers). This is their description in the
Taurat (Torah). But their description in the
Injeel (
Gospel) is like a (sown) seed which sends forth its shoot, then makes it strong, and becomes thick and it stands straight on its stem, delighting the sowers, that He may enrage the disbelievers with them. Allaah has promised those among them who believe (i.e. all those who follow Islamic Monotheism, the religion of Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم till the
Day of Resurrection) and do righteous good deeds, forgiveness and a mighty reward
(i.e.
Paradise).} (al-Qur'aan; 48.28-29)
{And who does more wrong than the one who invents a lie against Allaah, while he is being invited to Islaam? And Allaah guides not the people who are Dhaalimoon (polytheists, wrong-doers and disbelievers) folk. They intend to put out the
Light of Allaah with their mouths. But Allaah will bring His Light to perfection even though the disbelievers hate (it). He it is Who has sent His Messenger (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) with guidance and the religion of truth (Islamic Monotheism) to make it victorious over all (other) religions even though the Mushrikoon (polytheists, pagans, idolaters, and disbelievers in the
Oneness of Allaah and in His
Messenger Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) hate (it).}
(al-Qur'aan; 61.
7-9)
