10 Most Beautiful Mountains In The World
Everyone has different preferences, but a lot of people will immediately think of mountaintops. Look up “inspirational photos” online and you are bound to see more than a few beautiful, transcendent summits. As human beings, we are naturally drawn to the heights. Mountains are breathtakingly beautiful and remind us how small we are. At the same time, when we look up at mountaintops, a part of us feels like we are standing there, surveying the world from high above, which can make us feel mighty. And for mountaineers who take on that challenge, summiting a mountain can be a life-changing experience. Here are 10 of the most beautiful mountains

It has been going for almost 3 years now and has grown in to a wonderful Dead Family community event and has brought a lot of musicians , dancers, performers and artists together . It has also exposed a lot of people to the Dead's music that were not of aware of the depth and beauty of it before . I plopped my phone up on my keyboard last minute here for this

Weber Smokey Mountain Review & How To | WSM Smoker
This is my review on the Weber Smokey Mountain 18.5 inch smoker. This smoker has totally changed the way I look at long cooks. I mean any cook over 6 hours. If I were doing a brisket previously, I would get up at 5am to start the cook. With this Weber Smokey Mountain, I do it a whole different way. Now I will start my brisket (for example) at 8PM, go to bed, and wake up to an almost completely done brisket. I have used this smoker with and without water. If you add water, you will probably cut about 4 hours off of the max time the smoker will go. I have gone 11 hours at 225 without water. When I added water, it began needing more charcoal around 7 hours or so. I have also found that charcoal will extend your cook more so than lump charcoal.
I love this Weber Smokey Mountain, and highly recommend it to anyone looking into smokers. The Weber Smokey Mountain is especially good for beginners to smoking, or those not accustomed to using offset smokers. Using the Weber Smokey Mountain almost feels like cheating. In a way, I almost don't feel like I am BBQing. This wont generally give you the strong smoke flavor that an offset will give you, but it will give you lots more than the electric or pellet smokers. The price new on the 18.5 inch is around $300. I got mine used on craigslist for $50. They are widely available on craigslist.org for anywhere between $50 on the low end to $250 on the high end. If you are considering one, stop considering and start buying.

Top 5 Most Beautiful Mountains
These are the Top 5 Most beautiful Mountains on the world!
Don't forget to follow me on Twitter: https://twitter.com/top10factsabout
5# Ama Dablam, Nepal 0:05
This mountain is quite amazing, and has a very unique appearance. Looking at it, you will notice that there are a number of sharply contrasting, surprising angles in the rock. When snow settles on the peak, you will see these unusual angles even more clearly. Ama Dablam is one of the most amazing mountains in the world, there is no denying. It rises 6856 meters above sea level, and was first climbed by Gil Bishop and Ward in the year 1961.
#4: Table Mountain, South Africa 0:27
This mountain is a horizontal peak which does not reach particularly high. Despite this, it is very lovely to behold, especially as it rises against the sea, echoing the strong horizontal of the ocean. It is a unique peak which is different from any other in the world, and is instantly recognizable once you have seen it.
#3: Kirkjufell, Iceland 0:49
This mountain is not particularly huge or tall, and it actually has more of a horizontal than vertical profile. The lines of its sediment are very pronounced though, and have an orderly, sculptured look. The slope of the base is very smooth and even, creating a symmetrical appearance. So despite the fact that it is not particularly vast, it has its own unique, almost architectural beauty. It is one of the most recognizable sights in all of Iceland, and attracts numerous tourists every year.
#2: Denali, Alaska 1:13
If you want to see a truly tremendous mountain which dominates a skyline like no other, you will want to journey to Denali, Alaska. Many tours go to Denali every year, featuring amazing views of the mountain which towers 20,320 feet above the landscape. While this is not the highest mountain peak, the dramatic difference in elevation from base to summit and the relatively un-occluded view make it quite majestic to behold. Just looking at photographs of Denali, you may feel dwarfed and humbled. Just imagine how you would feel in its presence, standing near the base and looking up toward the sky.
#1: The Matterhorn, Switzerland 1:32
This mountain peak is going to be high on a lot of lists. While the beauty of any given mountain may be subjective, there is no denying that the Matterhorn is striking enough to stand out. It is immediately recognizable, even if you have only seen it in photographs a handful of times. This mountain is iconic of the Swiss Alps, and also serves as a very exciting and dangerous climb for those who wish to ascend. The Matterhorn is subject to very unpredictable weather. This can make it difficult for climbers. The dramatic weather can certainly accent the beauty of the mountain though, adding to its allure.

Rainbow Mountains Zhangye Danxia (China) – most colorful places on Earth
Gansu Province in China is known as home to the eye candy of Zhangye – an incredible lunar-like landscape, which amazes thousands of visitors with its multitude of red, orange and yellow-hued colors. Many visitors and tourists compare Zhangye Danxia Landform to an artwork, created by the master, who spared no colors. In this case the master is Mother Nature.
Geological evidence shows that the Zhangye's Danxia landscape took years to form, as the erosion gradually gnawed at red sandstone, resulting in the formation of isolated peaks and steep outcrops.
The erosion, alongside the desert conditions and freeze-thaw peeling created unusually colorful appearance of the Zhangye Danxia landscape (no wonder that in some tourist guides they are mentioned as the Chinese Rainbow Mountains). Game: Forza Horizon 2
Details: http://forzamotorsport.net/en-us/games/FH2
Forza Horizon 2 again takes place during the fictional "Horizon Festival", this time being held in southern Europe, focusing on southern France and northern Italy. The game world has approximately three times more drivable area than that for the original Forza Horizon, with events set in Provence, Tuscany and Côte d'Azur, among other regions.[citation needed] Players will explore the region, taking part in races and special events in order to advance through the game. Events can take place at day or night, and a dynamic weather system is being added for the first time in a Forza-series game.
Among new features in the game is the "Bucket List", which is a group of challenges for the player to complete, similar to the 1000 Club in Forza Horizon. There will be two separate lists; one for France and another for Italy. It has also been confirmed that these challenges will be continuously updated to provide new challenges throughout the map. Car Meets are an online mode where players can meet up online and compare their cars, similar to "Forzavista" mode in Forza Motorsport 5. Players will also be able to interact with each other in Car Meets, including sharing tuning setups and liveries.

Here are 10 of the most beautiful mountains in the world.
1 The Matterhorn, Switzerland.
2 Denali, Alaska.
If you want to see a truly tremendous mountain which dominates a skyline like no other, you will want to journey to Denali, Alaska. Many tours go to Denali every year, featuring amazing views of the mountain which towers 20,320 feet above the landscape. Just looking at photographs of Denali, you may feel dwarfed and humbled.
3 Kirkjufell, Iceland.
4 Table Mountain, South Africa.
This mountain, like Kirkjufell, is another horizontal peak which does not reach particularly high. Despite this, it is very lovely to behold, especially as it rises against the sea, echoing the strong horizontal of the ocean. It is a unique peak which is different from any other in the world, and is instantly recognizable once you have seen it.
5 Ama Dablam, Nepal.
6 Mount Eiger, Switzerland.
This mountain is rather imposing to look at, but also very beautiful. Its rock face is quite challenging to scale, and many climbers have perished in the attempt. It was first climbed from the north side in 1938 by Anderl Heckmar.
7 Machapuchare, Himalayas.
This unusual looking mountain located in the Himalayas rises 7000 meters above sea level and has a name which translates to “black fish.” This peak is very recognizable, featuring a sheer, steep, curved face on one side that plunges downward. Covered in snow, it makes for quite a striking sight.
8 The Spectre, Antarctica.
The “Organ Pipe Peaks” surge upward from relatively flat, snow-covered surroundings, lending them a surreal appearance. The tallest and most striking is named The Spectre, but it is impossible to look at the Organ Pipe Peaks without viewing them as a whole.
9 Mauna Loa, Hawaii.
In terms of area, this is the largest volcano on the planet, taking up 5,271 square kilometers and covering half of the Big Island. While the smoothly sloping peak may not have the highest elevation measured from sea level, measured from the seafloor instead, it rises 9,168 meters.
10 Alpamayo, Peru.
This stunning mountain sweeps steeply upward, a pyramid of ice with extraordinary vertical lines along its face. There is no other mountain on the planet that shares its unique shape and features. In a 1966 survey by the German magazine “Alpinismus,” it was voted the most beautiful mountain on the planet.

25 Crazy Facts That Will Make You Want To Climb Mount Everest

Every one knows that Mount Everest is the tallest mountain in the world (above sea level). But did you know these 25 crazy facts that will make you want to climb Mount Everest?

Here's a preview:
Officially, Mount Everest is 29,029ft based on a 1954 ground measurement. A satellite-based measurement in 1999 found it to be six feet taller but this was disputed.
The summit is just under the cruising altitude of a passenger jet (around 31,000ft)
At Everest's highest point, you are breathing in a third of the amount of oxygen you would normally breathe. This isn't because of different air composition but rather because of less air pressure.
Since 1969 at least one person has died on Everest every year except for 1977
Winds on the mountain have been recorded at more than 200mph.
One out of every 10 successful climbs to the summit ends in death.
There are estimated to be 200 dead bodies on the mountain and they are used as waypoints for climbers
Reinhold Messner was the first to climb the mountain alone and without oxygen in 1980
Frenchman Marco Siffredi and Austrian Stefan Gatt snowboarded down the mountain in 2001.
The oldest person to climb Everest is 80 year-old Yuichiro Miura of Japan
The youngest person to reach the summit is 13 year old Jordan Romero. In May 2010, the young American broke the record previously held by 15 year old Ming Kipa of Nepal.
The world's tallest man-made structure of any kind with the Burj Khalifa in Dubai at 829m. Everest is more than ten times its height.
The world's second highest building, Taipei 101 in Taiwan would need to be stacked up more than 17 times to match Everest
The first tweet from the summit was sent by Kenton Cool in 2011. He tweeted: "Everest summit no 9! 1st tweet from the top of the world thanks to a weak 3G signal"
The mountain gets taller by 4mm every years due to upward thrust created by two opposing tectonic plates.
Google has now mapped Everest, although it did not get to the summit. In 2011 a team spent 2 weeks hiking over 70 miles to reach base camp, capturing images along the way.
Without extra oxygen, Australian Tim Macartney-Snape became the first to climb from sea level to the summit, in May 1990.
The first phone call was place from the summit in summer of 2013. Nepalese officials, however, were less than impressed and deemed it illegal.
Bear Grylls, the youngest British climber to summit the mountain, also flew higher than the peak in a powered paraglider in 2007.
The record for the longest time spent on the summit is 21 hours, achieved by Babu Chiri Sherpa in 1999.
In 2004 there was a wedding on the summit. Moni Mule Pati and Pem Dorjee Sherpa, both from Nepal kept their plans a secret from other climbers until they reached the peak.
Two Polish climbers, Leszka Cichy and Krzysztof Wielicki, were the first two summit Everst during winter in February of 1980
Everest is well known for its "traffic jams". Sometimes several hundred climbers can be on the summit at the same time.
The mountain was named after George Everest in 1856. He was a retired Surveyor General who never saw the peak.
1974 was the last year that no one climbed Mount Everest

We do a Dead Jam every two weeks at Avogadro's Number in Fort Collins, usually with a theme to encourage dressing up and to influence the set lists. Their is a house band and two open jam segments.
