Swings Both Ways is the tenth studio album by English singer-songwriter Robbie Williams. It is his second swing album after 2001's Swing When You're Winning; unlike the latter, which had one original composition, this album features an equal mix of both covers and original material. The album marked Williams' first major work with former longtime collaborator Guy Chambers since 2002's Escapology. Chambers produced the album and co-wrote most of the album's new material with Williams.
The album was released on 15 November 2013 and debuted atop the UK Albums Chart with first-week sales of 109,000 copies, becoming the UK's 1,000th number one album. It was also Williams' eleventh album to top the chart, putting him joint-second with Elvis Presley for the most UK number one albums. Internationally, the album charted strongly and charted in the top 10 in Ireland, Australia, Belgium, Italy and Sweden, in addition to reaching number one in Austria, Croatia, Germany and Switzerland. As of June 2014, the album has sold over 1.6 million copies worldwide. According to the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI), Swings Both Ways was the 18th global best-selling album of 2013.
Way may refer to:
Ways
Way is the surname of:
Ways is the third album of the Japanese rock group Show-Ya. The album was released on 3 September 1986 in Japan. All the songs were arranged by Tadashi Namba & Show-Ya.
Despite being recorded only six months after their previous album Queendom, this album manifests a strong progression both in cohesiveness of the musicians and sound. In fact, the arrangements and compositions are tighter as the result of a real group effort, while the sound of the album is very similar to what could be heard at a Show-Ya's live show at that time. On the contrary, the two poppier songs on the album "S・T・O・P (But I Can't...)" and the single "One Way Heart" were not composed by the band and are almost harbingers of next album Trade Last's style. The single was also used as theme for a Japanese TV show. The hard rocker "Fairy" has since become a staple of every Show-Ya's live show.
Swings may refer to:
Moon Ji Hoon (Korean:문지훈, born October 14, 1986), better known by the stage name Swings (Korean:스윙스), is a South Korean rapper. He was formerly under the label Brand New Music. He is now contracted under his own record label, Just Music Entertainment.
Swings debuted in 2008 with the extended play "Upgrade." He holds a bachelor's degree from Sungkyunkwan University in "English Language and Literature." He has participated on Mnet‘s "Show Me the Money"(쇼미더머니) rap battle program as a contestant for season two and as a producer for season three along with San E and Tablo. In 2013, Swings, alongside Bumkey, was named "Artist of the Year" by Korean hiphop magazine Hiphopplaya (힙합플레이야). In the summer of 2013 Swings caused controversy within the Korean hip hop community with the track "King Swings Part 2" in which he accused Simon D of not protecting his Supreme Team member E-Sens from an alleged slave contract offered by label Amoeba Culture. This track led to an outbreak of Control-esque "diss tracks" from rappers all over the industry. Swings was a producer for the third season of Mnet's "Show Me the Money," a rap competition program. He joined the army in 2014 but discharged from the army in 2015 because of mental illness.
The swing ride or chair swing ride (sometimes called a swing carousel, wave swinger, yo-yo, Chair-O-Planes or swinger) is a fairground ride that is a variation on the carousel in which the chairs are suspended from the rotating top of the carousel. On some versions, particularly on the Wave Swingers, the rotating top of the carousel also tilts for additional variations of motion.
Swing rides were present at the earliest amusement parks. At Idora Park in Oakland, California, in 1908, the ride was called the Flying Swing, but appears to be the same principle.
The Chair-O-Planes premiered in Germany in 1972, designed by Zierer and built by Franz Schwarzkopf, brother of Anton Schwarzkopf. In 1974 the first portable unit debuted under the same partnership. Since then Zierer has built about 200 units. Other manufacturers have followed creating their own versions of the Chair-O-Planes including Zamperla, Chance Rides, Grover Watkins, Bertazzon, Preston & Barbieri, Vekoma and Sanoyas Hishino Meisho.

We're the love brigade
That sings serenades
Flying in G6 jets
Over woodland glades
These are canapés and not hand grenades
And that's the choice we made
Go USA
Or Taliban chic
If you got massive hands
Or tiny feet
Life hands you lemons then sell lemonade
It's the choice we made
So...
I'm gonna sell a soda pop
I wanna sell soda pop
I'm gonna sell soda pop
I wanna sell soda pop
Soda!
yoda!
Bop shoo wop
We like the birds
We go likely lads
I go on strike
We're not scab scab scabs
The love we lost when no one stayed
It's the choice we made
They wanna know
About the clothes we wear
If we swing both ways
But who stays there
As long as we get paid we don't care
The choice is theirs
So...
I'm gonna sell a soda pop
I wanna sell soda pop
I'm gonna sell soda pop
I wanna sell soda pop
Soda!
yoda!
Bop shoo wop
Come enjoy the madness
How you dance through the fire is all
That matters now
How can you resist us?
We are the business
So...
I'm gonna sell a soda pop
I wanna sell soda pop
I'm gonna sell soda pop
I wanna sell soda pop
Soda!
yoda!
Bop shoo wop
Come enjoy the madness
How you dance through the fire is all
That matters now
How can you resist us?
We are the business
So, so, so, so!
