Actor Rif Hutton plays Lake Edna, Minnesota Kentucky Fried Chicken owner Russ Beeler. This was one in a series of early 1990s ads in which he played the genial KFC proprietor in the fictional town.
It's probably no coincident that in this instance, this KFC Hickory Wings ad ran immediately after a promo for NBC's "Inside the KGB", which aired the following night (5/25/93).
That's because the program promised to expose files from the infamous Soviet intelligence agency (KGB) concerning presidential assassin Lee Harvey Oswald and the Cuban Missile Crisis, among other topics.
No coincident due to a specific character in the KFC ad.
The ad announcer says: “Simpson pitched the tent. Starling stoked the fire...and it was Beeler who bagged the food”.
No coincidence in the ad’s placement after the “KGB” promo because KFC ad character name Starling, coupled with the campfire setting in the woods, could evoke one of the most popular movies of the day in Jonathan Demme-directed "The Silence of the Lambs" (1991).
The film stars British acting icon Sir Anthony Hopkins as incarcerated serial killer, Dr. Hannibal Lecter and American actress Jodi Foster as FBI training cadet Clarice Starling. Scott Glenn plays Starling’s FBI training supervisor, Jack Crawford. Hopkins and Foster won Best Actor and Best Actress honors at the 64th Academy Awards on 3/30/92 for their roles.
Of course, real-life would be presidential assassin John Warnock Hinckley, Jr. became obsessed with Foster after seeing her play 12-year-old prostitute Iris in the 1976 film, “Taxi Driver”. Hinckley claimed he shot 40th president Ronald Wilson Reagan on 3/30/81 in a last-ditch attempt to get Foster's attention. He had written her numerous letters and called her twice while both enrolled at Yale University.
Born 11/28/62 in San Antonio, TX, internet sources say Riff Hutton married Bridget Hoffman in 2001 and has a son, Wolf Hutton. He had been romantically linked with actress Telma Hopkins in tabloid media.
Hopkins is a former member of "Tie a Yellow Ribbon" singing group, Tony Orlando & Dawn. She went on to star in sitcoms like "Gimme A Break", the Chicago-set ABC hit "Family Matters" and ‘Half & Half”, playing Phyllis Thorne .
Unrelated to Jodie Foster and John Hinckley, Jr., another woman in the public eye who publicly dealt with a determined stalker is news anchor Harris Kimberly Faulkner.
Faulkner became a staple of local news in Kansas City (WDAF-TV, 1992-2000) before moving on to a Minneapolis station (KSTP-TV until July 2004). She gained a national audience as a personality on FOX News. Her travails with her stalker—an acquaintance from her time at a previous TV job in Greenville, NC (WNCT-TV)—were well documented after he followed her to Kansas City and refused to get lost, harassing her for 18 months in 1993 and 1994. Faulkner had worked at WNCT-TV at the same time as news anchors Allan Hoffman and Rex Roland.
Note: Rif Hutton is perhaps best known for playing Dr. Ron Welch in the ABC sitcom "Doogie Howser, M.D." (1989-93). Surname Hutton could remind that Kentucky Fried Chicken's corporate parent, Pepsico, later renamed Yum! Brands, also has Taco Bell and Pizza Hut under its umbrella.

Rif Hutton
Rif Hutton (born November 28, 1962) is an American actor. He is perhaps best known for his recurring role as Dr. John Welch in the comedy-drama series Doogie Howser, M.D., appearing in that series from 1990 up to its conclusion in 1993. From 1997 to 2001, he appeared in a recurring role as Lt. Cmdr. Alan Mattoni on the series JAG. Hutton is also notable for playing Russ Beeler, a fictional owner of a KFC establishment, appeaing in a number of KFC commercials in the early to mid 1990s.
Life and career
Hutton was born in San Antonio, Texas, and was raised in East Orange, New Jersey. He moved to Los Angeles in the mid-1970s to pursue an acting career. He went to many auditions in his early years, but soon found himself broke and homeless, getting assistance from friends.
Hutton went on to guest star in a number of notable television series including The Jeffersons, Night Court, L.A. Law, Married... with Children, Hunter, Wings, Murphy Brown, The Larry Sanders Show, Getting By, Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, Family Matters, and Cold Case among others.

Actor Rif Hutton plays Lake Edna, Minnesota Kentucky Fried Chicken owner Russ Beeler. This was one in a series of early 1990s ads in which he played the genial KFC proprietor in the fictional town. It's probably no coincident that in this instance, this KFC Hickory Wings ad ran immediately after a promo for NBC's "Inside the KGB", which aired the following night (5/25/93). That's because the program promised to expose files from the infamous Soviet intelligence agency (KGB) concerning presidential assassin Lee Harvey Oswald and the Cuban Missile Crisis, among other topics. Actor Rif Hutton plays Lake Edna, Minnesota Kentucky Fried Chicken owner Russ Beeler. This was one in a series of early 1990s ads in which he played the genial KFC proprietor in the fictional town.
It's probably no coincident that in this instance, this KFC Hickory Wings ad ran immediately after a promo for NBC's "Inside the KGB", which aired the following night (5/25/93).
That's because the program promised to expose files from the infamous Soviet intelligence agency (KGB) concerning presidential assassin Lee Harvey Oswald and the Cuban Missile Crisis, among other topics.

This mathematically ensures monopoly and therefore bad public health for both the rich and the poor. And politics is simply a manifestation on top of trading or the free market so voting with your dollar won't make things better in the long run. While trading does ensure Mafia qualities, our current social problems aren't due to human nature, they're due to ignorance and blind belief. Trading is an act of conspiracy by its very nature.
