Grand Haven is a city in the U.S. state of Michigan and the county seat of Ottawa County. Grand Haven is located on the eastern shore of Lake Michigan at the mouth of the Grand River, for which it is named. As of the 2010 census, Grand Haven had a population of 10,412. It is part of the Grand Rapids Metropolitan Area, which had a population of 1,027,703 in 2014. The city is home to the Grand Haven Memorial Airpark (3GM) and is located just north of Grand Haven Charter Township.
The Potawatomi and Ottawa Indians lived in the area for centuries and used the river as a trade route into the interior of Michigan. Some of the long culture of the Ottawa tribe is being revealed through the excavation of archeological artifacts.
The city dates its European-American founding to French colonial settlers. A fur trading outpost called Gabagouache was first established by Madeline La Framboise and her husband Joseph. The name was adapted from a Potawatomi term for the area, Gabagouache. The trading post was later taken over by John Jacob Astor and the American Fur Company, which he developed as a monopoly. As a trading post, it was a hub of economic activity.
Grand may refer to:
Grand Haven State Park is a 48-acre (0.19 km2) state park in Michigan. The park is located in Grand Haven, Michigan on the coast of Lake Michigan on the south side of the mouth of the Grand River and harbor.
The park has 174 campsites and a very popular beach area. The park is quite sandy throughout and is not wooded. Many campsites have direct views of the lake and lighthouses.
A large pier is next to the state park. The pier is maintained by the United States Army Corps of Engineers while pierhead fog signal and inner lighthouse are maintained by the Coast Guard. The pier connects to a boardwalk on the south side river revetment. The boardwalk extends approximately a mile upstream toward the center of town and features many restaurants and shops. The lighthouse was originally built in 1839 and rebuilt in 1905 at its present location.
The beach and state park were created by the interruption of the littoral drift of sand along the coast caused by the navigation structure which was installed to protect the entrance to the harbor. The harbor and channel are also maintained by the Corps of Engineers, which has a local administrative office located near the east end of the boardwalk.
State parks or provincial parks are parks or other protected areas managed at the sub-national level within those nations which use "state" or "province" as a political subdivision. State parks are typically established by a state to preserve a location on account of its natural beauty, historic interest, or recreational potential. There are state parks under the administration of the government of each U.S. state, and of some states of Mexico. The term is also used in Australia, though the distinction between state and national parks there is different. The Canadian equivalent term is provincial park. Similar systems of local government maintained parks exist in other countries, but the terminology varies.
State parks are thus similar to national parks, but under state rather than federal administration. Similarly, local government entities below state level may maintain parks, e.g., regional parks or county parks. In general, state parks are smaller than national parks, with a few exceptions such as the Adirondack Park in New York and Anza-Borrego Desert State Park in California.

Few countries have left more of an impression upon me than Cambodia. I've now visited four times and each and every time I had a completely different experience. I learned what I loved and what I disliked about the country. In particular, I became fond of cities such as Siem Reap and Battambang whereas I found Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville to be less appealing. The shining star attraction I could never get enough of was the Temples of Angkor. Cambodia is a country with a tragic past; however, the future appears to be brighter as it becomes more frequented by tourists every year. Reykjavik is relaxed and welcoming, yet possesses a cultural life that holds its own against other European capitals. Most buildings are built simple and low to beat the North Atlantic winds. However, the city is also graced with grand civic architecture inspired by Iceland’s natural beauty, such as the soaring central tower of Hallgrímskirkja. Many of the country’s most popular sights are within easy reach of Reykjavík. Immerse yourself in the spirit of Iceland, at the Blue Lagoon. Coast Guard Festival is a festival in Grand Haven, Michigan. Founded in 1924, the festival is a ten-day event that starts in the last weekend in July, and ends in early August. Over 350,000 people attend the festival, including the nation's highest-ranking United States Coast Guard dignitaries from Washington, DC. The focus of the annual festival is to honor the Coast Guard and those who sacrificed their lives in the service of their country The Festival unofficially began in 1924 as a Coast Guard personnel only picnic when the local Coast Guard station held rowing competitions for those service members stationed in Grand Haven. The first festival began in 1937.[1] In August 1971 it was officially recognized as Grand Haven Coast Guard Festival, Inc. as a 501(c)3 charitable organization. G...

i really thought i knew
I thought i knew 'bout you
oh what a thing to do
i wanted it to be true
i haven't got it now
all the things that i want
running on empty now
i'm as brave as a loaded gun
if the best is yet to come
will you be there for it
i know we've only just begun
to make sense of this
oh what a restless world we live in
i will disconnect
and try not to lose my head
i won't pretend to be
all the things you think you see
won't you throw me a line
into this ocean of mine
and pull me back out
before i sink to deep
if the best is yet to come
will you be there for it
i know we've only just begun
to make sense of this
oh what a restless world we live in
I dont need it now
And i dont wanna be Without
if the best is yet to come
will you be there for it
i know we've only just begun
to make sense of this
