Yellow Pages refers to a telephone directory of businesses, organized by category, rather than alphabetically by business name and in which advertising is sold. As the name suggests, such directories were originally printed on yellow paper, as opposed to white pages for non-commercial listings. The traditional term Yellow Pages is now also applied to online directories of businesses.
The name and concept of "Yellow Pages" came about in 1883, when a printer in Cheyenne, Wyoming, working on a regular telephone directory ran out of white paper and used yellow paper instead. In 1886 Reuben H. Donnelley created the first official yellow pages directory, inventing an industry.
Today, the expression Yellow Pages is used globally, in both English-speaking and non-English speaking countries. In the United States, it refers to the category, while in some other countries it is a registered name and therefore a proper noun. The term Yellow Pages is not a registered name within the United States and is freely used by many companies. Telephone directories using the official internet address "Yellow Pages.xx" exist in 75 different countries. They are edited by many different Phone Companies and Directory Publishers, mostly independent from each other.
Fry and Laurie were a successful English comedy double act, mostly active in the 1980s and 1990s. The duo consisted of Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie, who met in 1980 through mutual friend Emma Thompson whilst all attended the University of Cambridge. Fry and Laurie have since collaborated on numerous projects together, including Jeeves and Wooster, in which Laurie portrayed Bertie Wooster and Fry portrayed Wooster's valet Jeeves. They also gained prominence through their own sketch show, A Bit of Fry & Laurie.
Since the conclusion of A Bit of Fry and Laurie, both have gone on to have successful solo careers in television, acting and writing, amongst other things though they still remain friends. More recently, Fry and Laurie have expressed interest in a continued partnership and reunited for a retrospective show in 2010 entitled Fry and Laurie Reunited.
On May 14, 2012, Stephen Fry announced on Twitter that he and Hugh Laurie are working on a new project together.
Fry and Laurie have also appeared together in various television advertisements, interviews, audio books and other projects.
As I look back
I know I lost track of my life
My hope and dreams depress me
And her eyes won't let me forget
As I smoke my last cigarette
I wonder how I could let her go
So make me an offer
I'm going to change my mind
Because I know you are my kind
And now I know that I was blind to see
That you believe in me
And all my crazy dreams
I wonder now how could I let her go
If you want to find me
Just look around and
You can have my time
And do those things that
I know will make you glow
I just want see you
And if you could lead me there
You can have my time
