The scenario is too simplistic and melodramatic for me, and I don't like many of the dialogues and plot devices. Still, I adore Elaine Barrish - she might not be the most accurately-made character of political dramas, and she also has really bad habits (first of all - her husband, he is even worse habit than smoking), but she is clever, kind and compassionate human with strong longing for justice and democratic society. A true believer in the very best sense. And Sigourney Weaver played this heroine perfectly.
